I cannot emphasize this enough. DO NOT EVER USE APPLIANCE DOCTOR to fix your appliances. I…read morewouldn't trust him to change the batteries in a remote control. I take full responsibility for my part of this. I bought the machine from work where it had been stored for the past 3 years. It was brand new. It wouldn't fit in the intended space and was stored until someone bought it. On the way home someone cut me off and my options were slam into a stalled car, sideswipe a semi or hit my brakes...hard. It was at the bottom of an overpass which is rough anyway. A strap broke, the machine tilted forward and slammed back down to the trailer. I took videos of what it was doing and sent it to "Bubba" at Appliance Doctor. He was fully aware of what had happened before he ever came out and I repeated the story in person. It's even mentioned in the invoice. Now on to the tea. 1. Appliance Doctor charged me $85.99 to come out and diagnose the machine. This charge did not include parts or labor. The lid to the machine was already removed, he didn't even use a screwdriver. He removed the lid, pronounced I had a broken spring and immediately started writing up an invoice for parts and repairs. The problem with this is there were more broken parts. He didn't even look. 2. Parts ordered. He arrives with I am assuming his wife. But he completely forgot his ratchet set and a specialized tool needed to replace the retaining ring on the door boot. Fortunately I had both. To replace the broken spring you have to completely remove front of the machine. When he did that he broke an electronic connector a friend had already spent HOURS repairing. This is a $179 part. I didn't even get an apology. All Bubba said was maybe my friend could fix it again. Seriously??? Whoops! After digging into the machine he discovers I have ONE broken shock absorber. Would have been nice for this to have been found during the $84.99 diagnostic I already paid for. Now hold onto your butts... He puts the shock back together and says it will probably work, reassembles the machine and since he broke the damn control panel he can't check his work. He gave me a $30 discount and left. I paid $355 for this service. My friend repaired the board again which took about 2 weeks. And this isn't soldering a loose connection on a lamp, this is tiny, tiny, tiny almost microscopic work. So I reinstall the board and it works perfectly. The board I mean. The washing machine is still complete crap...and now its POURING water all over my floor. This is new. Its never leaked before. It's still jumping around like a frog on crack and is completely unusable. I tried to contact Bubba about the leaking and that it wasn't fixed. My calls were sent to voice mail. Several days pass and at 9:20 at night he sends me a message wanting to know if I was available on date XYZ. I can't imagine conducting business that late. I told him I wasn't available and that I would get back to him. Unrelated, ended up in the hospital for 2 weeks and did some research. I decided I would not be using Appliance Doctor again, even if it meant costing much more money. Their reviews had me scared. Today an actual LG technician came out and fixed everything. He even managed to bring his own tools!!!! It literally took him 90 minutes. I am completely impressed. But here is what he found... 1. There were TWO broken shocks. (I had replaced one already, but had no clue another was broken) 2. Part of the door boot assembly was put on backwards. 3. The front panel is really bent making it hard to remove. 4. There is a hole in the door boot from it being installed wrong. 5. The reason the water was pouring everywhere is because he forgot to put a hose clamp back on. 6. Most of the screws are stripped 7. The balancing weights on the right side weren't even screwed in. This machine has washed a total of 12 loads in it's entire life. This isn't something beat all to hell and on it's last legs. The direct drive is still under the factory warranty. These are relatively minor repairs that Bubba was not able to handle professionally and actually caused DAMAGE to my machine. I am absolutely flabbergasted. Don't use The Appliance Doctor. Just. Don't.

We called this company out to diagnose two issues: a refrigerator that wasn't cooling properly and…read morean oven that was overheating. The technician came out, confirmed both problems, ordered parts, and left. Shortly after that visit, our refrigerator flooded our house, causing extensive damage. We are now displaced from our house being forced to replace all of our flooring two months before we have our third child which has been incredibly stressful and costly. Given the situation, we requested a refund for the appliance parts that were ordered. Not only was our request met with resistance, but we were also charged a $60 restocking and shipping fee--despite the fact that one of the parts was never even shipped because it was on backorder. Between the lack of accountability, the added fees, and the significant damage we're now dealing with, this experience has been extremely frustrating and stressful. We expected professionalism and care when working with essential home appliances, and unfortunately, that was not what we received. I would strongly caution others before using this company.

I have a home warranty plan with Asurion, and US Appliance Repairs has been dispatched EIGHT times…read moreover the course of five months to repair my dishwasher. After all that time, the dishwasher is still not fixed. Every visit felt like starting from scratch. Different technicians, no continuity, no real diagnosis, and no resolution. It has become painfully clear that their technicians are either poorly trained or completely unqualified to handle what should be a straightforward appliance repair. After five months of delays, repeated failures, and wasted time, I was forced to buy a replacement dishwasher just so my household could function. Today was the final straw. Their technician showed up and refused to work on the dishwasher because it was temporarily installed in my garage -- the only place it could be connected after months of waiting and having to replace the unit due to THEIR inability to fix the original problem. Instead of trying to help or offering any solution, they simply refused service and left. This has been one of the most frustrating service experiences I've ever had. Zero accountability, zero urgency, and zero competence. If you value your time, your home, or having appliances that actually work, avoid US Appliance Repairs at all costs.
