I was driving on the Mulilteo Speedway with my wife and kid, a few cars back from one of the street lights, in a line of cars, when this car makes a left from a strip mall into the suicide lane. He was next to me so I expected him to hang out for the line of 6-8 cars to go by. Instead he decided to move into the lane while I was still there. I honked to let him know I was there. He swerves back, then speeds up and simply turns into the lane while I'm there, causing me to swerve hard, and my kid hit his head on the back door to avoid getting run over by this shitbag. A pebble randomly hit my car's windshield last weekend while I was on the freeway. The glass quickly cracked into 5 lines like a star. I was desperate to find someone open and affordable. I used Yelp and found John's number. He quickly answered and said he happen to be no more than 15 minutes away from me. We waited in the parking lot. He was on time, friendly, and reasonably priced. He fixed the crack in about 10 minutes. He did a great job and would use him again. The only reason I didn't give him a 5 star is because I have a hairline crack still. I've had a bad experience with this place recently, went in to repaint my 1991 MR2, the new guy that they hired is terrible, I posted a picture of my cars door handle and what a amateur job they did respraying the doors. They also do a horrible job at masking the car, there was overspray all over the bottom part of the chassis and even some in the wheel well. Also he likes to lie about when the car will be finished, first it was 4 days, that turned into a week, and eventually after 2 weeks I got the car back. A complete waste of my time, if you're trying to run a honest business stop lying to your customers and dodging phone calls. This guy is as shady as a bad mechanic. Long story short it looked like a 5th grader was given a paint gun and some allowance to do his customer's cars. read more

Bad call on my part. - Unprofessional and poor work. - Refuses to do mobile work, even though he advertises it (& why my insurance company selected him). - Was 30 mins late for my appointment. I arrived on time, yet he had "just left" to pick up my replacement windshield. - Didn't acknowledge he was late or apologize when he finally arrived back to his shop. Not that I'm the "sensitive type," but poor customer service skills don't keep customers. - Left a mess in my truck afterwards, even broken glass on the floor mats. - When I called to tell him about the mess he'd left, nothing but excuses and an offer to bring it back to vacuum. I went to John's Auto Glass Unlimited to get my aftermarket hood painted and he pulled out his phone and showed me a bunch of pictures of a car he just finished that was my same color and year. After picking it up the first time it seemed like it had a much bigger flake in it than my paint and was noticeably more yellow than my cars paint. Also to "blend" it he taped up to a body line on the fenders and sprayed over which then ruined my fenders. The second time it was a bit closer but still not a match so the fenders were still ruined and the hood still wasn't the right color. Also there were tons of spots under the paint and clear coat from dirt/dust along with primer overspray on my front bumper. I also noticed there were many ripples and a couple pinholes on the hood which he explained was due to the hood being made terribly out of fiberglass so that wasn't his fault. The second time he attempted to paint the hood he assured me he was going to go buy a certain paint then told me he paid over $160 for it later, but when I showed up and was talking to a worker in the shop he told me John never went to go buy it and he tried to get him to go buy it the first time around. I ended up being down $500 having him re fit my stock hood back on and am now left with ruined fenders. read more

This place did some work for me in the past and I was pleased, so I went back, the place was no longer there on the Speedway. I call and he tells me they haven't been at the location for along time, they are now around the corner. I follow his instructions, but I cant find any signage or the business anywhere, I call back, but no answer. I try to look for address, but webpage and everything still has old address which is strange, since he indicated the move was awhile ago. I try another day around 10am and call first to get address, but he says he is not open yet but he will be there in about an hour......So this place is somewhere in Mukilteo, maybe you will find it, maybe you wont, and maybe the place will be open, maybe it wont. Johns is obviously not an auto repair place. He should stick to replacing windows. I have paint drips all over my hood my bumper. There is over spray all over the car. There's about 1/8 inch of dust everywhere inside my vehicle not to mention in the engine compartment. A huge hideous mess. I have paid him in full and gave him a tip and good faith. I told him I would check the work out after I wash the car. I have check the car out and I should have sent it back to him and fixed his hideous mess. It looks like I paid somebody from another country standing on the corner to fix my Mercedes Benz. My Mercedes Benz looks ghetto. I'm very upset and I can continue to write ugliness. I just had the windshield replaced in my 1997 Ford F150. This was the second windshield replacement in the last 3 years for me by John's Auto Glass, the other being in a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. In both instances the windshield replacement looks like original equipment. One phone call, make an appointment and you can wait while the work is being completed--30 to 45 minutes. I checked other auto glass replacement companies and John's Auto Glass is competitive with the big boys. This is a small independent shop. The windshield he installed on my Toyota Truck leaks because the adhesive was put on sloppy and the windshield according to another profession who repaired it said it was too low and not placed correctly. I was referred to John's Auto Glass by my daughter who had been 'word-of-mouth' referred to him by her ex-sister-in-law. My daughter had gone to him for a huge dent/scrape my granddaughter had put into their Honda Pilot. They couldn't afford the insurance deductible and not wanting to raise their insurance because of the big dent they were looking for a deal. Then when I was over for dinner one night their neighbor backed into my car and scraped and dented it which they immediately reported to us. They ended up declaring it on their insurance but I called John the following business day and drove over for him to give me a written estimate. I missed him so called after I got home to which he immediately drove all the way to my house and wrote up a bid for me! Then my daughter's neighbor's insurance adjuster showed up and did another bid which was over twice the price of John's. I waited until I got the check and called John the very same day. He got me right in (Friday night no less!) and brought me home. When the car was done in just two days, he came and picked me up so I could get the car. My car is a 2005 Toyota Corolla so the paint is faded and a metalic undertone - a light soft green so you can imagine my dismay when i saw that he had matched the paint color perfectly and you couldn't see any sign of the dents and scrapes on the bumper and fender. My daughter is currently having him fix their Saab that leaked around the lights and doors and got all moldy. He is a generous, giving, creative, humble business guy I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing auto body, glass or mechanics done on their car FAST, incredibly reasonable and friendly. read more

Let me start by saying I liked John immediately. He's a nice enough guy. Please FOR THE LOVE OF PETE DO NOT do not get body work or your windshield replaced here. Here's my story: 1) Went to John's on a referral from a friend. My poor fiancee' backed her Denali into my Tundra the day after we moved into our home and our friend recommended him highly for body and windshields. (I handled that wake up call at 6am like a real jack wagon btw) Anyhoo... 2) Took it to John and the cash price was very reasonable. (I can hear my dad telling me you get what you pay for now in the background) 3) Windshield Replacement: Windshield LEAKs. John blames "possible air bubble in sealant". Auto glass guy I paid to replace the brand new windshield was a real pro. He managed to remove the new windshield and show me where the heated windshield connection had been cut rather than plugged in. What? Strike 1. He showed me 4 possible locations on the seal/glue/adhesive which he removed where the leak could have occured. Strike 2. The adhesive was also a quarter inch thick in some locations and 1 1/2" think in others. Strike 3. John asked that I bring the windshield back and let him replace it. "I don't even have to be careful taking it off Jeff. I can just break it and take it back to my wharehouse and they'll give me a free one" Strike 4. 4) Body Work. When I picked the truck up the first time they were washing it. That seemed odd to me for brand new paint. It made sense later when it stopped raining and iI wiped it off with a chamois and saw all the runs in the paint. You know...like when you helped your dad paint the family house when you were 9 and you didn't know better so you loaded the brush up with paint and proceeded to brush it on and have drips running down the siding. The old man understanding your inexperience explained the issue and showed you proper form and you nailed it the rest of the two week job. Well...John's been in business for decades and the paint job on my 30k Tundra looked worse than that siding. Strike...I'm losing count. Is this game over yet. Who do we play tomorrow? 5) Body Work issue 2. Every time I crank the wheel to back my truck into the driveway at the end of a long day I get to listen to my Michelin's rub against the bumper he restored to "perfect." Sigh. 6) Throughout the process I was promised copies of original invoices from the Toyota Dealership for my parts. This was my offer: I'll pay for the installed parts and eat the windshield cost because I don't trust you (John) to put on a second windshield that doesn't leak. I need copies of the invoices by October 31st and a check for the labor only." Re-read that. I'll pay for the parts he installed crooked or broken...and he eats the labor cost only. "No problem Jeff I'll take care of it." Cheers John. If a man's word is his bond I'm not quite sure where that leaves you. It's November 16th. No check. Hours of wasted time and over a grand in original work and hundreds to 3rd parties repairing your rushed and poor workmanship. I only got one small piece of Joy out of this whole thing. When I took it to my mechanic of many years and he showed me where two more bolts were sheered off that also needed to be fixed I called my fiancee who obtained the original referral and let her know I was on my way to the shop to handle the situation she begged me to let her handle it. Then she drove her little italian self down there and lit the place up in a way that you'd have to see to believe. That image is almost worth the money and time. Almost John...but not quite.
