Beware BEWARE! Feb 28, 2024 I am not a first-time customer of Johns auto repair owning a BMW It's slim picks for quality and decent pricing for service. With that said I am reviewing my most recent experience. I've slept on it and thought about it and it needs to be said. John Over charges for CRAP part and does NOT Guarantee them!! February 23 2023 ( one year ago) I took my car in for an overheating issue, they replaced the water pump and a few other minor things that go along with that. And fixed the over heating issue. Cost over 2 thousand dollars, I was told I was getting quality parts that were guaranteed. Well fast forward to February 26 2024, (one year and 3days later) Said water FAILS and constantly runs causing my battery to die and numerous other codes to pop up. I take my car back in and he thinks it's the alternator. The next day when the part comes in he notices that the new battery is dead again, and after charging the battery and lifts the car to begin installation of new part he finally see the the malfunction in the water pump. He then calls me and Tries to Blame Me for putting a cheap china water pump in my car! He continues to blame me until my wife finds in her records that, that Was the part he fixed one year ago! So I'm stuck paying for a new water pump (with NO warrantee) and 2 days worth of labor for him thinking it was the alternator, bringing my bill to $1700 bucks Not including the new battery I had to buy and to top it off he STEALS my core battery that I left in my trunk so I can't even get my 15 dollars back from Costco. This place HAD good reviews but nothing recent, the quality place they used to be is GONE! So Please BEWARE!!! read more

I've been going to Space 25 in Bloomington for years after my warranty expired. I should have continued to do so. I trusted an outside source who recommended this place and I was such in a rush to get my car fixed that I gave in. YALL HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I REGRET IT. First, my bmw had been leaking oil. Johns son identified both issues and gave me a rate of 400 or so to fix the problem. Took the car in and then he identified another issue. I trusted his expertise so I agreed to some new parts. I took my 2010 mini cooper with John in March of 2022 for a bad timing chain. He then advised to me to replace the water pump since it was starting to leak. He replaced the water pump, thermostat, and water pipe. About 11 months later, the water pipe was leaking horribly. I took it back to him and he warranties the part but not the labor, costing me $400. Then about 5 months later, the same water pipe started to leak horribly (once again). At this point John said he wasn't sure he could warranty the part anymore and of course would want another $400 or more to have it replaced on labor alone. I told him I would now handle it myself since it seemed he wasn't able to manage to make the repair correctly. Once I removed the water pipe, I found that it was broken along with the o-ring, with a bunch of silicone in there (as if silicone would stop a broken coolant pipe from leaking). I highly suspect he never replaced the water pipe the last time he "repaired" it. I sent him photos of the old water pipe and still hasn't responded to my texts. I will never take my car to this guy ever again!!! read more

My 2019 BMW 330I needed rear brakes and rotors and brakes sensors according to dealer recommendations and the estimate was $1400. I googled nearest German car mechanic and John's Auto repair specialist appeared, I contacted Mr. John and he gave me an estimate of $700 for the job so I decided to have him do it. I went to his shop and he suggested checking the rotors before replacing it ! That he can even it out with his tool and save money . Made me purchase over $2,000 in parts and the car didn't work. My son and I were considering the purchase of a 1989 Nissan 240SX from the owner in Fontana so we found John through Yelp. I called on Saturday to see if he could squeeze in an inspection for Monday and they were able to, saying it could take up to three hours to complete the inspection depending on how busy they are. The owner brought the car in and we left the car there and the inspection was completed in less than 2 hours. I felt that the inspection was pretty thorough (I do not expect any guarantees on a 30 year old vehicle) and John provided rough estimates of the value and repair costs needed to the vehicle.
