Experience will vary depending on barber. If you get Shaz, you're going to regret your experience. Doesn't matter what cut you want, you're going to be wishing you had made an appointment. If you get anyone else, they should be able to cut hair pretty well... John's haircuts are very well done and that should be expected since he owns the shop and Alfredo has a great attention to detail. Everyone else is pretty good, but it just depends on your expectation of what a good haircut is. Just don't get Shaz. Asked for a mid fade and got a mid life crisis instead. Definitely needs a new career. Representative of at least the last 10 visits. Not to mention, Shaz will breathe into your ear the whole time he's cutting hair and his hands are shaky all the time. I feel like that doesn't help with this profession. No offense of course, just my observation and my experience with throwing my money away. read more

I have been coming to John's Barber Lounge for 10 years now. You can always expect to get a fresh fade/cut. I have been going to the MV location and getting my cuts with Shaz for the past 4 times, and he does a great job. He knows what he is doing and pays attention to details, especially if you're picky like me. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I also liked the fact that he gave me good advice on how to go about some of my cut style decisions. Told me what would look better with my hairstyle.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] And now that he knows my cut style, I don't even have to tell him anything. My cuts/fades just get better every time. PS Shaz knows how to cut with scissors! Haircuts are usually good but don't go in asking for a beard trim at any location without an appointment they just will not see you. Went in earlier this year to their RSM location sat for about an hour which i didnt mind because i had no appointment and was told they couldn't trim my beard. Today same issue got there at 9am waited for an hour and a half with no issue before i was told that they couldn't cut my beard because there was an appointment in 15 min. So my haircut was going to be rushed through and i couldn't get a beard trim again so i just walked. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I understand if its busy, you can tell me to come back but to watch me sit there for that long before telling me I'm probably going to have to wait for another hour is ridiculous while people are walking in 15-20 min late into their appointments that they get to keep.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] read more

John and his whole staff are amazing. I still wear Marine Corps flattop and they are one of the only barbers that can still do them. All of John's staff are up on the latest trends and can do it all.
