Service requested: Trim hair. Quality: Both my husband and my son had their hair trimmed. They were both nicked and bleeding on the backs of their necks by the end. My son was clearly jumpy whenever the barber used his air compressor on my son's neck, and he cried because hair sat tickling his face and then got into his eyes. I had to ask my son to stop rubbing the cut hair into his eyes and ask the barber to clean my sons face multiple times. Vibe: Dirty, disorganized, the entire business looks like these guys patch it up themselves and they're clearly unskilled in that. Strong chemical smells hurt my nose and throat until I left and got fresh air. They use loud compressed air to 'dust' hair off clients as if theyre detailing cars. They were playing weird music, not English. Dingy. Also, do they have a license for the beer in that fridge? read more

This place is a joke. I don't usually care about hair... usually just do it myself in garage .. just clip away and shave short... nice and simple..but had event coming up and didn't want to shave my head. Found this guys web site.. said $15 for senior haircut. Showed the guy several photos of last time I got haircut and what I wanted.. he said he understood. He starts cutting.. taking forever.. had to tell him several times "need shorter" as he was just trimming little by little and I could tell he was acting like he was wrapping up. I want a haircut.. lots of hair needing to be removed to get to photos I showed him...finally couldn't take it anymore...NO idea what he was doing ...I got up and said enough.. this is ridiculous.. I'll go fix it in my garage... and he tells me $25! I said "$25?" I just was on your web site an hour ago to find you and it is posted at $15". He says " that was a long time ago.. we didn't have time to change it" I asked how long ago? He says "5 years". I said " you didn't have time for 5 years to update your web site?".. he says " I don't have technical guy". I paid him the $25 for the mess they created..I'd never go back.... I'm very picky and was incredibly skeptical as I've been seeing the same barber for hair and beard for 8 years. I gave these guys a shot and they did a perfect job. I forget the older gentleman's name (Randy?) but the dude was an absolute technician; very careful and very detailed. Service was outstanding. The guys working there were polite and easy to talk to. I'm really disappointed. I request the haircut in picture and as you can see they didn't do the haircut I requested, either something good. It's not equal, the front part is uneven for an inch, the back side is also not equal, goes more to one side than the other. If you look side by side also looks like Zik Zak. I saw some bad parts that I kept on telling the guy to fix but it seems he to not understand. Try to pass the machine where the error was and he tried to fix something else. I wouldn't come back to this place and if you think going there save your money. I got charge 25 Dlls for something I didn't request and doesn't even look good. read more

I asked for a cut and hair color. The first time, I was charged for the cut when the cut was finished, so I asked for hair coloring. When I asked her about hair coloring, she didn't seem to understand and another employee translated for me and she did my hair coloring. The second time I asked for a cut and hair color in the same way. After the cut, they charged me again for the cut. When I asked about hair coloring, a guy replied that they cannot do it. I would not have asked for a cut if they didn't do hair color. I don't know if they don't understand English or if they don't have the skills to color hair, but I gave them one chance but I won't go back. read more

We went here because we needed to redo my sons hair after another barbershop left it absolutely disgusting. After searching for barbers I stumbled upon Max out of pure luck. Once we got there a gentleman help us and my son told him exactly what he wanted and the gentleman agreed he could help out. I was surprised of the amount of detail he spent on my sons curly hair isn't easy to cut but he made it look easy. I wish I would have got his name. The prices are one of the cheapest in the area but it's not just the prices that sets them apart. Their customer service is amazing. Max may be a good barber, but the lady he has working for him is absolutely awful. She completely ignored what my son repeatedly asked her to do to his hair, and he left the salon in tears with the worst haircut he has ever had. I am not sure if she did not understand him because of a language barrier or if she just did not care, but, either way, this lady has no business cutting hair. Max is a nice guy and a good barber. I found him because I was desperate for a normal haircut in the Irvine area and luckily found him on Google and Yelp. He knows how to cut conservative Asian hair for sure especially the sides. He uses the correct and normal techniques that were missing from two other places I went to.
