It's rare for me to leave a negative review, but my experience with Crosswater Dental--specifically regarding cosmetic dental work--is something I feel strongly about sharing, both for my own peace of mind and to help others make informed decisions. I came to Crosswater Dental with a broken front tooth and was given two options: a crown or a veneer. I opted for the veneer. The first one looked okay initially, but I noticed a gap between my front teeth that hadn't been there before. At my next appointment, it became clear that the veneer had also turned gray. Dr. Chopra acknowledged both issues--the color and the gap--and apologized, saying she would go with a different vendor for the next veneer. The second veneer had an improved color match, but the gap remained. Additionally, my two front teeth were now so tight that I couldn't floss between them, and I began feeling a painful, pressure-like sensation. Dr. Chopra made some adjustments and believed the flossing issue was resolved. However, a few weeks later, I began experiencing headaches and constant discomfort in my front teeth. At my next visit, I was told I had an infection and was prescribed antibiotics. Unfortunately, to this day, the antibiotics have not resolved the pain or pressure. I still have discomfort, the gap is still there, and my front teeth remain too tight to floss between. The situation has left me not only physically uncomfortable but emotionally distressed as well. On March 26, 2025, I submitted a letter to the office, along with before-and-after photos of my smile. In that letter, I respectfully asked that, if cosmetic dental work wasn't within Dr. Chopra's specialty, I be refunded and referred to someone with the right expertise. That request went unanswered. I used to love my smile. It made me feel confident, and I cherished the compliments I received. Now I'm left with persistent discomfort, a visible gap that wasn't there before, and front teeth that are still so tight I can't floss between them. These ongoing issues make me feel self-conscious and disappointed. This isn't about the money--it's about having to live with something that doesn't feel like me anymore. While I can't speak to the other services offered at this practice, based on my experience, I would not recommend Crosswater Dental for cosmetic procedures. My hope is that the office takes this feedback seriously and considers referring cosmetic cases to specialists when appropriate.

A friend recommended Dr. Krantz, but I was looking for a place closer to my house, so I called a few other offices first. I was surprised by the office staff at these other offices and their snotty administrative personnel, so I contacted Dr. Krantz's Office. From the very first phone call they have provided superior customer service with a friendly attitude. I have never had any issues with my bill, as they bill my insurance company directly and I don't pay anything for preventative care. My whole family has been seeing Dr. Krantz for over a year now and we are very happy. They are committed to quality and our overall dental health. The office staff is always friendly and the office is clean and has the latest technology ( at least as far as I can tell, comparing to my prior dentist). I highly recommend them!

My recent appointment for a routine cleaning was done under the most hygienic conditions. After arriving, and in accordance with their new Covid-19 procedures, I texted the office and was invited into the waiting room immediately. A plexiglass shield was in place to limit exposing the office staff. My regular hygienist, Pat, met me in the waiting area and escorted me back to the chair within 5 minutes of arrival. She completed the cleaning without causing any discomfort. Then I was escorted out the back door, to avoid contact with any new patients who might be in the waiting area. I am very pleased with the excellent dental care received from Dr. Krantz and his associates and staff.

The front end staff is the nicest and friendliest group I've ever seen at a business in Saint Johns. Make sure you request an appointment with Dr. J. No, he didn't play in the ABA or NBA. His dental philosophy is the less drilling the better for your long term dental care. I had to have a crown put in where on had fallen out and was no where to be found. Dr. J. went above and beyond to make sure the temporary fit perfect. They also have state of the art equipment to find cavities under previous fillings and crowns to prevent possible very expensive root canals down the road. I've tried more than a few dentists in Saint Johns since moving here about 15 years ago and Dr. J at Beachside Family Dentistry is by far the best. Add in the friendly staff who many knew me by name the 2nd time I walked in the door one can't lose.

I ordered Invisalign through this office in the spring, paid for the treatment in full upfront, and scheduled my appointment to have everything applied. At that appointment, I sat for over an hour before someone from billing came in and told me they could not find my trays and then tried to tell me that I had never paid for them. I had to pull up my credit card statement to prove that I had, in fact, paid. Miraculously, after that, they found my trays--which had apparently been misplaced. I continued coming in approximately every seven weeks for new trays. I never actually saw the orthodontist during this process, but otherwise continued treatment without making an issue of it. I completed my assigned treatment and ordered my retainers on July 1. I was told they would be in within approximately two weeks. Since I was going to be out of town, I scheduled an appointment for the end of July to pick them up. The office then contacted me to reschedule because the doctor would not be there, so my appointment was moved to August 18. On the morning of August 18, the office CALLED ME and asked me to come in an hour earlier than my scheduled appointment. I accommodated them, arrived, checked in, and sat in the waiting room for another 20 minutes--only to then be told that my retainers were not even there. Why was I called that same morning and asked to rearrange my schedule to come in earlier if no one had bothered to verify that the retainers I was coming there specifically to pick up were actually in the office? I left yet again and was told they would schedule me once the retainers arrived. An appointment was eventually scheduled for September 3. Given everything that had already happened, I called on September 2 to verify that my retainers were actually there before wasting another trip. I was told someone would call me back. The orthodontic assistant eventually called and told me that my retainers were in and that I "needed to schedule an appointment" to pick them up. When I explained that I ALREADY HAD an appointment scheduled for September 3, she told me there was no appointment in their computer. At this point, I am completely done with this practice. Misplacing Invisalign trays is one thing. Accusing a patient who paid upfront of not paying because the office cannot locate those trays is another. Having a patient drive to the office for retainers that aren't there--after calling that same patient that morning to ask her to come EARLIER--is ridiculous. And now somehow an appointment that was scheduled has disappeared from the system as well. The communication, organization, and customer service here are subpar at best. I have spent entirely too much time following up, verifying appointments, rearranging my schedule, and correcting problems that should have been handled internally by the office. With the number of dental and orthodontic practices in this area, there is absolutely no reason to tolerate this level of disorganization. I will be taking my family's dental care elsewhere, and based on my experience, I would strongly recommend others do the same.
