I can't tell you how many times I've been on time for an appointment and waited 45 minutes until I actually was seen. I was late for one appointment by 15 minutes (which the policy is a 15 minute grace period) and they basically told me to go screw myself. So I took my business elsewhere. read more

10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND the OBGYN office. First of all I waited 5 weeks to get a pregnancy confirmation appointment. Then I get there and the doctor is seemingly pretty Surprised at how far along I am. Then everything becomes emergent. I need appointments and US NOW! Oh but not Today, we can't fit you in. But here we have this midday time in 2 days and we would like you to rearrange your schedule For us. Let's also not forget to mention I am 12 weeks and she didn't put her hands on me. No US, no sonogram. No baby heart beat. TWELVE weeks. It Was the most pointless appointment I've ever had and I was rushed at the end. The doctor was clearly done and tired of answering my questions and made haste to exit the room without explaining next steps at all. And let's not forget they DIDNT EVEN WEIGH ME. Isn't that like... a notable thing to track throughout the process? The desk staff then proceeded to treat me like a number and not a patient- but that's what you get with Hopkins, I guess. She literally told me she was trying to " squeeze me in" to their schedule and She stated " we are very busy" to my Concern over really crappy appointment options. I do not need to be " squeezed in" anywhere. I'll be taking my business and my baby elsewhere- where maybe I will actually hear my baby's heart beat and get an accurate depiction of what my pregnancy looks like. read more

Find somewhere else! It was recommended I schedule an appt here after being in the ER. I called up and the front desk staff were EXCEPTIONALLY rude. I have never experienced the level of dismissal and disrespect before. The phone time for them to find an appointment takes so long which doesn't make sense because everything is computerized now - it's not like they're flipping pages through a book anymore. Maybe they're hoping you will just hang up so they don't have to do their job. They are also booking appointments for months out (I believe this is due to their being affiliated with the JH system and not a testament to their services). I decided to look around and found another doctor (highly recommended) who had an appt for the next day. I cannot speak to the quality of care from physicians, but if the complete apathy from the front desk staff is indicative of anything... run. read more

The Johns Hopkins name once meant something. This Columbia location is VERY far from what one might imagine. This office cannot provide basic customer service. I won't even discuss the lack of professionalism that is apparent here because I don't want anyone to be in trouble during a pandemic. I do hope they will read this and pretend to care. Called JHCC in the morning to have BP meds refilled for 10 days before my appt. That afternoon, called CVS to make sure it had been called in and it had not. Tried to call JHCC to inquire at 4:33pm and recorded message stated the office was closed. Website says they close at 5:00 that day. Called JHCC next morning and they said they will send another message to the doctor. That afternoon, called CVS, no Rx called in. The next day (3rd day) called JHCC again and was told the doctor hadnt responded to, or ignored, the refill requests! I found that out only because by now Im a bit perturbed. They were just going to submit another request. NICE! While on hold the recording states going through My Chart, Rxs will be refilled within 24 hours! What kind of doctor ignores a patient needing BP refill till scheduled appt? JHCC thats who. read more

Recently had an online appointment because I had been exposed to a person who tested positive for COVID-19. I was requesting a test due to some minor symptoms I was experiencing and was told by the doctor that my symptoms weren't serious enough and she refused to give me an order for one. Seriously? So I was charged roughly $85 for nothing. I should have been informed prior the visit that if the symptoms weren't deemed serious enough I would be refused an order. She then told me to go to Patient First or CVS! I would like to add that I'm in remission from non-Hodgkin lymphoma and have a compromised immune system so I would expect that to carry some weight but obviously not. Next time I want to throw away $85 I'll be sure to give them a call. read more

UPDATE: received my ultrasound on 05/16/2018, still haven't received a call from the doctor. Thank god AAMC has a My Chart where the radiologist posted my results and I was able to view that. Needless to say I have found a new doctor. This is for the OBGYN. I like the doctors, but I do not like that for ultrasounds you have to be referred to another location and you won't get your results until 2 weeks. I've been freaking myself out since the ultrasound wondering what's wrong with me, I just wish I had known that it would take so long to get results. read more

and forgot one very important thing wang has sick obsession of removing uterus!!! healthy uterus. i told her first time i met her only fibroids removed she orangeade harassed me ever single time we spoke about removing my healthy uterus i finaly had to lay in 2 her to leave me f***k alone about what she !!!! wants and what im doing with my !!!!! body. she is way beyond compulsive arrogant indigent and think shes gods gift to medical professionals and will think she knows it all and is the best lemme tell you i wish to god!!! i never met her and she never touched my body. becuz of screw up 2 nd operation hernie im not the same it has messed my life up and when i told her she still never apologized nor was sympathetic nor even gave a damn what happened to me. i cannot stand her and hope karma reaches her soon,, ladies always do what u want with your body do not let any doctor try and coach you into anything!i pray i never see her face again seriously im afraid of what more i will say!! read more

This is a terrible practice. I had a biopsy for cancer and they never followed up I had to do all my follow-up with Hopkins myself. They don't seen to care they have your life in there hands. read more

I had my first visit at JHCP OBGYN and they treated me like I was the only patient at the practice. From the front desk to the medical assistant to the doctor, everyone took their time with me. Doctor answered all of my questions and cared. I saw Dr. Colon and would absolutely recommend her. read more

So my husband needed to find a new PCP that was in network with our new insurance and since I work for Johns Hopkins, we decided to give JHCP Columbia a try. His first visit, he was there for his annual physical and got routine blood work- well they billed the visit and blood work under his high blood pressure so none of his labs were covered. I had to contact the practice MULTIPLE times to get this fixed. And the manager gave a lot of attitude to both my husband and I (although when I spoke to the doctor directly she was most helpful). Even after that horrible experience we decided to give them another chance- this morning my husband had a 9:10am appt. with the doctor to get his TDAP shot since we are expecting in July. This shot should take no more then a minute. He got to the office at 9am, was told to sign in and take a seat. Which he did. By 9:45 they still didn't call him back so he went back up to ask them what was going on, and at this time, they asked him some questions and officially checked him in!!! Then by 10am he STILL was not called back. He left at this point with out getting his shot. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! Even though I am employed by Johns Hopkins I would definitely NOT recommend this office to anyone. read more

This office is not run well, comparatively speaking. Administrative staff, not strong. Messages are not returned and wait time to speak to someone is long. On my last visit, things did not go well with the doctor, I'd rather not go into detail, but mainly miscommunication lead to an error. I would definitely try elsewhere. Wow... after reading the reviews here, you'd think this was the devil's waiting room. It's about what you'd expect from a busy medical center. Counter staff has always been kind and courteous to me and I can't say enough good things about my doctor. But they do get busy and you may have to wait at times. Dr. Tewalli was the best OB/GYN I've ever had. She is so caring and responsive to needs. I had to have a pretty big surgery and she helped ease me into it was there throughout my recovery. I am truly thankful for her and the Johns Hopkins community. read more

I wish someone had warned me about this practice before I got started with them during my second pregnancy. The doctors/nurses don't communicate with the receptionists so if you are waiting for blood work such as your glucose test or to be monitored you will be waiting for a long time. They don't ever mention test results not do they even always tell you what they are testing for. If you like a doctor who only treats your pregnancy this is the practice for you but if you want them to deal with any issues you as a patient also have go elsewhere especially if you know you have a higher risk pregnancy. I know I'm changing as soon as I have the baby since it's too late to change now. read more

I absolutely love their odenton and Columbia office. However there's been a few incidents that have made me very angry with them. For one I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second. We always see Dr. Soares and just got an email saying she's leaving this week. Honestly she's the only reason we've been saying with you guys. I had my 20 week scan and they took three days to give me results after the nurse scaring me to death. One doctor called and said something. Then a day later another doctor called and gave me some completely different answer. I had my 20 week appointment and explained to a new lady what I was going through. She didn't seem to care and rushed me out. Very sad to leave but I don't feel safe there. Good luck Dr. Soares. You will be missed . read more

This office sucks! It takes months to get an appointment, you finally make it to your appointment and it takes 45mins to an hour before you can see a doctor. This is for my routine annual checkup. Thank God you only have to do it one evening a year. I don't know how pregnant women who work do it. You have to take so much time off work :( it's so disappointing!! This review is for the office, and not the doctors, who seem completely unaware of what happens outside. There seems to be a huge disconnect between the outside and inside where the doctors and nurses work. These ladies will not even make eye contact unless you are an old friend, and they use headsets to make personal calls all day, so even if you do make your way to the front desk, they are joking around with their friends, doing internet shopping, but not communicating with you. Unfortunately there aren't many better choices in the area, and if your primary care doctor works here you have to somehow deal with them to get your needed referrals. Once you get finished with the doctor, if you have a needed follow up, try to get it worked out inside the double doors in the back because the ladies up front will make you stand there 15-20 minutes as they close their conversations with their friends and family to help you. Best advice is to try to only use the automated check in, and then grab a magazine until someone from the back calls you. The ladies at the desk will only call you to collect your copay if all goes well. read more

The doctors were ok, nothing special, but to get any sort of appointment, takes forever to get. My initial visit took 2 months to get. My appointment for an annual physical was going to take 4 months to get ( but I'm changing practices now). I was sick for 3 weeks and when I wanted to be seen for a sick appointment, the first opening wasn't for 2 1/2 weeks. I was all better by the time my appointment came. I know they are well known for their prestigious name, but definitely not for their service. I was a patient of the John Hopkins OB too and I would definitely not recommend them. It's better to go to a smaller practice where the patient and their illnesses actually matter than somewhere for their well known name! read more

DO NOT use this practice! In 3 weeks alone, I have had 3 separate billing errors by them that may potentially cost me hundreds of dollars I do not owe. I am a new client and am so frustrated by this! On top of this issue, it is hard to get people to call me back and to get people who know what to do. No one seems to care and everyone keeps passing my questions on to someone else. read more

Horrific! We moved to MD from Northern NJ and I made a well visit appointment in the pediatrics office for my son to establish care here. They told me to call for a sick appointment if he becomes sick before the appointment. Today, he had a high fever and sores on his throat so I called for a sick appointment. I was told a nurse would call me back and no one ever did. I called the pediatrician in Bethesda (Kenwood Pediatrics) that my NJ pediatrician originally recommended and they took him immediately without ever being seen here before. I will be switching my son's PCP to Kenwood as Hopkins clearly doesn't care about their customer service or health of their patients given the circumstance that occurred this morning. After being seen at Kenwood it turns out he has a bacterial infection and an ear infection that he was prescribed antibiotics for. I'd rather drive the distance to Bethesda for proper care than go to an unreliable pediatric facility such as Hopkins Community Physicians. Don't even bother scheduling your child here. read more
