Great, personal, efficient and reasonably costing care! I drove out here from Fulton because the 10 minute drive saved me a 90 minute wait. I had walking pneumonia and got in and out in less than 30 minutes. Shoot - most docs I don't even get SEEN within 30 minutes. I'm not sure why the reviews aren't better. I saw two walk-ins with children all show and out the door even before I finished. My appointment was with PA Kpadjiba and she was super helpful. Like wonderful. It wasn't just her. The other staff was great. Anyone sitting in some den of fevered patients in this part of MD needs to stand up and drive over here to get seen. Or maybe it's better that the word doesn't get out and this gem isn't ruined by the masses! read more

They were very polite, but should have informed me when I first arrived that they do not have the ability to x ray my suspected broken arm. Instead, I wasted over an hour waiting to be told that they couldn't help me. They did charge my insurance over $150 for nothing. read more

My previous experience at a similar place in Olney (Medstar Urgent Care) was so horrible that I was willing to drive to Clarksville, even in a semi-emergency, just to avoid the Olney place. The first time I came here was March 2022 when I split my head open on the pointed corner of a two by four while underneath my front porch. My daughter drove us out to Clarksville during the PM rush. There was nobody in the lot and nobody in the place at all except for a few employees. After a couple minutes at the desk, the doctor (I think he was a doctor) saw me. Within a few minutes, he cleaned up the wound and had me fixed up - 12 staples to sew my head up nice and tight. I swear the whole ordeal took fifteen minutes! See photos (edit: Pic of stapled wound is not showing up, maybe Yelp doesn't like photos of wounds). Best emergency visit ever! The second time was in mid December 2024, it was a weekday morning. There were quite a few cars out front and a few people in the waiting room. I had a sickness problem - maybe bronchitis, maybe pneumonia. We had to wait quite a while, maybe 45 mins to an hour. Then we were taken into a room and after a few mins, the doctor saw me. Not a real MD, but a certified nurse practitioner, something like that. A young woman named Rosemary Long. Great bedside manner. Checked me out. Listened to my breathing, etc. I was directed to the medical place in Maple Lawn to have X-rays done. Very quick. Went home. Later after a couple hours we got a call. They said there was a small spot in my left lung that might be pneumonia but might not, they weren't sure. So they gave me medications for bronchitis and also antibiotics if the bronchitis didn't clear up. I could hear and feel the stuff in my lung when I breathed. So after a week, it hadn't cleared up yet and I began taking the antibiotics for pneumonia and I swear my lungs felt clear after only a few hours! Continued with the antibiotics for a week and I now seem to be cured! This is my go-to Urgent Care place! read more

While the location is convenient, the service is a mixed bag. Sometimes you get someone who really knows what they're doing and sometimes, the competency is questionable. Example; not being able to diagnose chicken pox. While other times nailing the service treating a case of bronchitis. Over the years I've been here several times but at least half the time I've left somewhat disappointed in the services. read more

Most important, I am okay now but I was stung by several bees yesterday late afternoon with hands swelling and in pain. I went to First Call centennial lane location and got there at 4:55. The doors were already locked (I know they close at 5) so I knocked on the door. A woman did come, opened the door to tell me "we're closed. Come back tomorrow." I told her I was having a reaction to bee stings but she just told me again to come back tomorrow and shut the door. Didn't give a damn. while I was clearly in pain, with already swelling hands she just didn't care. I know they are not necessarily docs but they're there to provide care but just don't. read more

Went to Clarksville location. I have severe non-stop coughing and excess mucus. Been uncomfortable for over a week. WAITED 1 1/2 hours when a medical technician came into the exam room and offerred me a "virtual visit"!!! This was AFTER waiting the 1 1/2 hours. I was furious and told them that their lack of communication and service was unacceptable. NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN!! I certainly don't recommend anyone go their if you are truly sick and expecting to been seen in an "urgent" manner. read more

If you have strep throat don't go here. Two times I've been tested there and it has came back negative and when I went to a different place that same day it's positive. They take forever to do the most basic things and the staff seem like they don't know what they're doing at times. I asked for tissues and they didn't even bring them to me, IN AN URGENT CARE! How do you not have tissues. Do not use this place even if it's convenient it's not worth it. read more

This Quality First Urgent Care location has really saved my and my family's behinds as we've tried to have some 'semblance of a normal life during these times. They offer walk-up covid testing, with same-day to 24/48 hour results depending on when you go. Their process is extremely streamlined, professional, and efficient - I trust that I will be handled with care and have accurate results whenever I go here (yes, driving out of the way to do so!). The best part is how their system works: once you're in as a patient, you retain the same patient ID to quickly check your results online. This has been extremely helpful during times of travel, potential exposures, large events, and more. Thank you to the wonderful staff, who have to be set up and sit outside, in order for make this such a great experience, during a not-so-great time. I went here twice over a two week period and was misdiagnosed twice. First time I went in for a flu and COVID test, they decided not to order the COVID test and the flu was negative so they sent me home with a diagnosis of upper respiratory infection... I had COVID when I tested at home the next morning. Second time I went in for abdominal pain thinking a possible UTI, they did a urinalysis which was negative and did a very brief abdominal exam and sent me home with a pulled muscle diagnosis. Eight hours later I was at Howard County General to have an emergency appendectomy. I gave them two stars because the place is clean and I am able to get seen right away but I cannot trust their diagnosis and will be going elsewhere from now on. read more

My son woke up with an earache and since his pediatrician's office is closed we opted to try Quality First Urgent Care. When we arrived the staff told us he had to have a Covid test in order to be seen. My son did not want to contact Covid in the "Covid tent" and get exposed to Covid. For that reason they denied my son service. If they are worried about contacting Covid from him in their facility, he has every right to be worried about entering a tent filled with people who are testing because they believe they have Covid and are experiencing multiple symptoms. My pediatrician's office doesn't do this. Howard County General doesn't do this. Why is Quality First Urgent Care doing this?? So now my son's options are to suffer two more days with an ear ache or go to the hospital which hurts people who are experiencing real emergencies. The staff could have offered to swab my son in our car to avoid him going into the Covid Tent. And, FYI if you test positive they won't see you anyway. This is not medical treatment. This is discriminatory practices assuming that every earache or every stuffy nose is Covid. They did not care to lose our business. I'm sure they are making plenty just off their Covid tent. I have never been treated with such disregard for my health as this place made me feel today. For the past two days, I have had horrible chills, while sweating but no fever. Then last night my throat got very tight and swollen and I have white blotches on the back of my throat. My body aches and I feel miserable. Usually, I go elsewhere, but I was feeling so bad that this place was 9 minutes closer, and my husband said they had good reviews, so I made an appointment for 11:15 am. When I pull in, there is a long line of people outside with about 50 people standing in it. I get out of my car and say I have an appointment; can I go inside? The woman there tells me I must wait in the long line. Mind you this line is not a line to get into the clinic if you need to see a doctor, but rather a rapid covid testing line for people that need tests for either work, school, or travel. She explains that because I have some symptoms of Covid, I will need a test which made complete sense as I would not want to expose anyone. What did not make sense is that she wanted me to go to the back of the line of the "walk-up" Covid Testing clinic even though I had an appointment and literally felt like I was going to pass out. So, I asked to speak to someone and this woman named Dawn comes out and I explain that I am not feeling well and do not feel I can stand in this line and asked if there was any way, I could get the test so I could sit in my car and wait to be seen, she says no. I have to wait in the line with the healthy individuals that are there for routine covid tests. Meanwhile, I am sweating and shivering because I am sick. So, I take the forms, she hands me a flu test vile, a strep throat test vile and a covid test vile. I am standing there, and the line is barely moving and go to talk to her and offer a suggestion. I said to her, I am just offering a suggestion, but it would make more sense that there be two lines. One for people that are here for just a covid test and one for people that need to see a doctor and need the covid test so they can go inside and see the doctor, she looked at me annoyed and acted like my suggestion was ridiculous. When what was ridiculous was me standing in line, risking getting worse, in a line of people that were perfectly feeling fine and just need a test for work, travel or school. So, she looks at me and says, "You are welcome to go somewhere else". My jaw dropped. She would rather not deal with me as the patient and turn me away as not deal with me. She was incredibly rude with absolutely no bedside manner whatsoever. There was no sympathy at all that I felt horrible sick. I am literally telling her I feel miserable, and she tells me to go somewhere else! Wow. It was a complete disregard for me as a patient that is clearly in need of medical attention. All I wanted was to see a doctor. I decided to just wait in the long line and take the tests. They call my 20 minutes later and tell me the covid test was negative and that I could finally go inside. I go inside and they have a physician assistant see me. He was nice but all he did was look at my throat and see that I had white spots, prescribed an antibiotic, even though the rapid strep test said NEGATIVE. He did not check my breathing, did not listen to my chest, did not look in my ears. They made it clear that my need for medical attention was inconveniencing them. He doesn't tell me; I hope you feel better or show any empathy at all. He just goes, exit is on the left. I was never disrespectful in any way. I was just a patient needing to see a doctor and get help and I got neither. Please do yourself a favor and go somewhere where they will care about you and how you feel and will make you their sole interest in wanting you to get better. This place is full of uncompassionate people, unkind people that have no regard for the patient and how they feel. Never again. Dawn, you should find a profession where bedside manner is not required. You are in the wrong field my dear. read more

Very convenient when you have a high schooler that is required to have weekly testing. PCR testing is same day results if you test before noon! Very streamlined, professional, and friendly workers. I've never been during a hectic time but can imagine it can get a bit hairy. But in todays Covid world, we have to be patient. Results are electronic and no more than a 24 hour turn around. read more

If you need a Covid test done, this is the place to go! I read an earlier review that called out Dawn but I had a great interaction with her! All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. We've gone for testing as a family on 4 occasions now and each time, whether it's been blisteringly hot or literally snowing and sleeting, the service has been par none. After testing for covid outside of the facility, I was also tested for strep at the same time. When they called back about 10 min later, they had said both my rapid covid and strep test had come back negative. Following the news of the results, I was a little confused because I contract strep very easily and my symptom were all the exact same as when I had gotten it many times before. Mind you the guy who had swabbed my throat under the covid tent for strep only tested one side of my throat, which isn't a substantial amount to rule out strep. I then walk into the facility to be seen by a provider. He looks at the throat and tells me it's definitely not strep, and that I should feel better by using over the counter and at home remedies. The very next morning, my throat was hurting so bad that I couldn't eat, drink or even talk. I immediately booked an appointment at the Urgent Care in Eldersburg for 9am. Here I was tested for strep again, and this time they swabbed both sides of my throat and my results came back positive. I am disappointed in the fact that both the nurses and doctors did not consider my symptoms and history with strep. Even after looking in my throat and seeing the swollen, red tonsils with white patches and not bothering to test me again within the office, as opposed to outside in the covid tent. Clearly it was a false negative and I don't want this to happen to anyone else. And the fact that there is required covid testing before entering the building is just another problem with the place. read more
