The wings were a 10/10 and tots, fries were well seasoned. The service was on point and we were given a buzzer for when our food is done. So much fun, they had sing alongs music bingo and pool. Outdoors they had headed lamps and this place is very dog friendly. Definitely going back Tim and time again. Hidden gem for sure. read more

Attached to the Exxon gas station and part of the KOA. John's Place was recommended to us. So we thought we would stop in-and check it out. If you love a welcoming feel to a place stop in. Pool table, darts, TV s, jukebox, bar seating, high tops, large outdoor patio, food truck ( certain day), and pet friendly. Nick, the bartender, knew the history of the place and knowledgeable about the area. We got there shortly after it opened. People were coming after a little while we were there. We just had drinks. I must say, this is definitely a first for my husband and I. It's attached to a gas station. Has a nice outdoor area where the food truck "Good Eats" is located. A pool table outside as well and a lot of seating and TV's. Inside is very welcoming. A lot of TVs and tables. 1 pool table inside. My husband and I came for the dart board to throw some darts--they have removed the dart board from a long the wall from the previous review and now it's just one dart board. They replaced that wall with TVs and high top tables. Bartenders were nice and super friendly. We couldn't start our darts till after there pool league, but once they were done everyone was super friendly. My main review is for the food. We got the chicken quesadilla, garlic Parmesan wings and fries..and whewww..the food was Soo good. I'm pretty sure we're going back for the food before we head back to NY. It was just one woman running the whole food truck herself. She was amazing! I'd be back for sure for the food. The food truck is a must try!! read more

This is a great place. Staff is wonderful. Has great jukebox with every genre of music. You can even control it from your phone. Very large for a place that looks small from the outside. It's very clean, great clientele. Folk are very friendly and welcoming. Could use a few more TV's for sports but enough to satisfy. Don't think they have the NFL ticket do to the lack of TV's. Every Tuesday they have Texas Hold em Tournaments $10 buy in , Every Wednesday they have $5.00 blind draw Steele Tip dart tournaments, Thursday's are off nights as far as entertainment is concerned. Friday is Karaoke night at 9:00 and Saturday is live entertainment at 9:00. The age group of folks ranges so some nights could be college type crowd and other nights could be the 40 and over crowd. Most times it's a 50/50 mix. I have to say (is only 2nd time here, came for the poker tournament last night) seems the crowd is primarily male (1-5 ratio maybe which works for me personally being married and all). Why I could not give the establishment a 5 star rating is this...No kitchen. You CAN order pizza from a pizza joint in the plaza and Johns will take care of that but other than that, it's a watering hole. Another reason is, although they have a plethora of cornhole boards (bags are horrible - I was able to find 7 bags not broken sitbring your own) and you can play anytime you want, they no longer have tournaments. Would LOVE to see that come back. One last thing I think they could use is one or 2 ping pong tables for additional entertainment. All in all I really enjoy it here...Oh, DO NOT bring folks UNDER 21 years old. They don not let kids in here. Stayed at campground, John's place is owned by the same person. Questioned bar tab due to multiple people with the same name. Bar tender was rude. I paid the bill. Next day I was told I had not paid my bill from the night before, after showing my bank account with a different amount charged, I was required to pay a bill for $1.11 and tip the difference. read more

Worst Bar in town. They are living in the stone ages when bars were social clubs and you had to join and be approved to be a customer by owners, staff and other customers. It's a "click joint" full of so called local drunk friends. They have never evolved and never will until the lease runs out and someone with real vision and bar/restaurant knowledge buys the place. Even better, the KOA cares enough about their image that they turn it into what it should be for their customers. Skip it and the expensive gas station, trash food truck (they don't have a restaurant) and the limited bar selection. Fort Mill deserves better than John's Place. read more

Cute place. Definitely a local feel which I love. Actually, this place is pretty sizable which was a surprise. The parking lot is shared with a gas station. They have darts and pool. Bar seating, tall tables, a comfy nook with cushy chairs and a large outside area. We love beer and although they have bout 12 on tap, they only had 2 local brews. Would love to see at least one with a little higher octane. However, the locals that frequent I'm sure are happy with the selection. Missy runs a tight ship and is able to handle a full bar, a few occupied tables and a sizeable group outside. Mixed drinks as well so it caters to all. Price was high for the local brews, probably are exempt from happy hour. A person ordered a bud light and it was a $1.50. Oh well read more

A kind of cool, old school dive bar. They have a nice draft beer selection, and a nice outdoor patio. Bands on weekends, NFL football on Sunday. Sundays they have a nice buffet to enjoy while you watch the games. We met some nice folks here and had a really good time when they had a Wicked Weed tap takeover. read more

Great local place, very good prices on drafts, and the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The crowd was a nice mixture - everything from the Grateful Dead to death metal was playing on the jukebox. It looks like the outdoor seating would be nice when it warms up. I really liked this place and see myself going back. I do wish they had more local craft beers, which would probably bring my review up to a 5. They did have around 12-15 craft beers so the selection had a good representation of styles. I think they are trying though, which is a great start. read more

Love this place!! Come here all the time and love the friendly atmosphere, regulars (there's a lot of them lol), and bartenders. By the third time in the door you're considered a regular, and don't be surprised if they remember your name. I have noticed they do run a pretty tight ship, and have no problem asking people causing problems to leave and not return. I feel it makes for a more enjoyable experience when management actually manages for a change. read more
