Mulligans is a great spot for happy hour drinks, bar food and sport tv. We sat at the bar and it was so busy that we didn't get a cocktail for 20 minutes. Our server, Brandy was charming and took care of us. We ate crispy parmigiana garlic wings with tater tots and a Mulligan burger, more on the medium side as opposed to the medium rare ordered. Everything was tasty and the fried food was crispy. Mulligan's is a nice bar to have in your back pocket.

Creamy lemoncello is great way to finish or start, or both because it's that good. Delicious and juicy beef tacos, nice pool tables.

The…read moreatmosphere is exactly what you'd expect from a sports lodge--tons of TVs everywhere so you can catch every game, but with that rustic outdoor theme too. Mounted game fish, moose, and deer heads give it that hunting-lodge vibe, which actually makes it a fun place to hang out and watch sports. We started with the Billionaire Bacon appetizer--six slices of bacon described as thick-cut, hickory-smoked and candied with brown sugar, red chile flakes, black pepper, smoked paprika, and cayenne. The flavor description was accurate, but the bacon itself really wasn't thick-cut and could've been much crispier. For the price, I expected better. If it had been thicker and crispy, it might've been worth it, but I probably won't order that again. My girlfriend ordered the Southwest Salad, and that dish absolutely delivered. It was a heaping portion topped with perfectly cooked sliced sirloin steak and shrimp, plus mixed greens, carrots, pico de gallo, roasted corn, black beans, pepper jack, and a jalapeño honey vinaigrette. She absolutely loved it. She also got a side of coleslaw, which was surprisingly delicious and a great addition to the meal. She paired everything with the Dirty Blonde beer, which definitely made up for the disappointing appetizer. I went with the naked garlic Parmesan wings and a side Caesar salad. Both were delicious. The wings were fried perfectly--crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside--and the flavor was spot on. I was very satisfied with them. Service was great as well. We actually had two servers because one was in training, and both of them were attentive, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of throughout the meal. Overall, I'd rate our experience a 4.5 out of 5. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere were all really good, and we had a fun time. If not for the underwhelming Billionaire Bacon, this would've easily been a full 5. We'll definitely be back--just skipping that appetizer next time.

The atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and the customer service was top-notch. What really earned this 5-star review happened after my visit. While reconciling my account on 7/29/26, I noticed a $45 charge for an item I didn't order. I called and spoke with Tiffany, who was incredibly kind and assured me she would speak with the manager, Philip. When I called back the next day, Katie was already expecting my call and immediately connected me with Philip. He had all the details, sincerely apologized, refunded the $45 without hesitation, and even gave me his personal number in case the refund didn't post. That level of honesty, communication, and trust is rare. Thank you, Tiffany, Katie, and Philip, for turning a billing mistake into an example of exceptional customer service. If you're looking for amazing comfort food, friendly people, and a place that truly feels like home, Bear Walrus is it. It's Rock Hill's version of "Cheers." I'll definitely be back the next time I'm in the Charlotte area! :::writing

Bartenders were really entertaining and I actually preferred it. We've had dinner there before and opted not to move to a table. Prime rib - Friday night special. AMAZING. 8 oz portion rare was juicy and so flavorful. Crust was peppery and delicious, perfect with savory heat from the horseradish cream. Mac and cheese was super creamy and just the right amount of pepper, made with shells, cheese pull galore. The collards were on point and packed with chunks of pork. The tri tip was sliced thin and stayed juicy but that chimichurri was the showstopper. It was fresh and spicy and totally made the dish! Beans were too smoky for me, hubby said they were good. Potato salad was solid but not sure any potato dish could top that Mac! Sparkling rose was just a teensy bit sweet, very refreshing and divine. Bartender said it's one of the best wines on their list. Hubby had Tito's and cranberry, also excellent. They have a good draft selection too. No oysters for us on this trip, but they did have a list and the raw bar was fully seated and enjoying them. We totally enjoyed oysters last time. Longer table down the middle would make it easy for large parties and they did have several large groups in as well. Overall it was a pretty energetic vibe with a fun but casual ambience. Dress it up if you like, but jeans are also okay. Games were on the three TVs at the bar, or maybe there were 4 TVs. Bartenders were fun to hang out with and provided all the menu recommendations and entertainment we could want.

The beer selection was surprisingly mediocre, and they happened to be out of the first two beers my wife and I tried to order, which was a bit disappointing. I went with the barbecue entrée with a vinegar based sauce, which was alright overall. The sides were actually the highlight -- the mashed potatoes and broccoli were pretty good but the garlic toast was unpleasantly oversalted, enough to stand out in a negative way. My wife ordered a burger, and she absolutely loved it. In fact, she's decided it's her favorite burger in the Charlotte area so far. The atmosphere is great for sports fans. There are plenty of TVs, and we enjoyed watching a women's college softball game and a UFL game during our visit. It feels like the kind of spot where you could settle in comfortably for a big game. The décor and vibe give the place a lot of personality, and it made for an enjoyable dinner date for me and my wife. Service was excellent during our visit. Our server was incredibly pleasant, attentive, and full of great suggestions. The beer selection was another highlight, with an extensive set of choices. The only small downside was my wife's wings. She wasn't thrilled with the sauce she chose, which was a bit of a letdown, but everything else we tried hit the mark. I had the 18xx Chicken Sandwich (minus the bun). Glad I went without the bun because that thing would have been a bit of a beast to try and eat as a sandwich. Overall, it's a great spot with a cool atmosphere, and an impressive beer lineup. I feel comfortable recommending though I'd likely try a steak or burger option. Update: Two more visits and I've tried two other entrees: the Ooey-Gooey Grilled Cheese Sandwich and the Spinach and Salmon Salad. I had the salad because I wasn't especially hungry on that visit. It was neither bad nor outstanding. The grilled cheese sandwich was, indeed, as advertised, both ooey and gooey and both in a good way. I'm still interested to try a burger on a future visit. On one of our visits, the kitchen team apparently used the tuna that was meant for my wife's Seared Ahi Tuna Salad for another meal which resulted in an additional 15-minute wait time for our food. Though disappointing, a member of the kitchen staff came to our table to explain that situation which was a professional courtesy move that was professional and respectable.
