My wife had her wedding dress altered here for our wedding and then dry cleaned afterwards. Yang was professional and courteous throughout the entire process. The alteration process was a bit long, requiring multiple visits, but Yang was receptive to any changes that we wanted. I appreciate that after any work is done, he allowed us to check his work and if there was anything we weren't happy with he was opening to making the changes. Overall, I feel like his prices are reasonable for the work he does. My only strong word of advice is to make sure to call ahead before coming into the store to make sure that whatever work is done because usually he's behind schedule.

I had so many sleepless nights worrying my dress would not be perfection, and reading some ridiculous reviews of Rosas's (some bridezillas complained about all types of things like her losing a dress). But, low in behold, my dress was altered to utter perfection with Rosa. She was timely, communicated, worked up to 7 days a week to get the job done for me. She is Turkish and used to do hand-made, custom dresses in Turkey. She did a fabulous job. Yes, it was $700 and I paid CASH with some on a CHECK. I do some sewing and alterations myself, so I know how much work and time goes into taking apart a garment, adjusting it, and putting it back together. I was in no hurry for my items--I had procrastinated on getting some of them properly fitted for years, so I didn't mind waiting for another month. She actually said it would only take 3 weeks, but I told her I didn't mind waiting longer. They will give you a date for when your items will be finished, but they can't give a cost estimate in advance, because sometimes it's hard to tell how complex an alteration will be until you start taking a garment apart. They only take cash or a personal check, so if you plan to pay in cash, just call a day ahead of the date when your items will be ready so you'll know how much to bring. I found the prices reasonable, but I'm also someone who doesn't mind paying extra for quality work. I was very pleased with how my items turned out, and look forward to getting many years of wear from them.

I brought them in on a Friday on my way to work and not only did they have a zipper there to put in, but incredibly were able to complete the job by the next day!! I recently went back with my senior citizen dad to have two suits taken in as he has lost some weight over the last few years. We were worried that it would cost more to alter than to replace the suits but we got a very reasonable price and again, amazingly, were able to pick the suits up the next day. The two women who waited on us (I think one is the owner) were very pleasant, professional, and skilled. They didn't hesitate to tell me that the pants of one suit really didn't need to be taken in. They were very courteous to and patient with my dad. I can't recommend this shop highly enough. This place is a find. Convenient (on the Waverly bus line out of Harvard Square) and with on-street parking. The establishment is clean and pleasant with room to maneuver (sometimes tailor shops can be cramped and overfull).

I walked in to give them my business after scheduling an appointment 3 and a half weeks ago -- to have my wedding dress altered -- and was dismissed almost instantly. No conversation. No courtesy. The moment she saw me, everything changed. Because I don't "sound" the way I look, the shift in her attitude was immediate and unmistakable. It was clear I wasn't being judged on my request, but on her assumptions about who I was. I refuse to normalize or excuse this kind of behavior. If you share my background or look like my family does, I want you to be aware of what you might encounter here. No one should be turned away or made to feel unwelcome simply for existing in their own skin. Speaking up matters. Silence only protects the behavior, not the people harmed by it.
