We discussed my medical history and factors that could affect my teeth health, and Chelsea detailed each process that we went through. The cleaning process went smoothly and then Dr. Silver came in to check on me. However, it was an amazing experience. The staff was so sweet and welcoming, and Dr. Lisa Selem was the best. Everyone walked me through the process smoothly, and made sure I was comfortable and couldn't feel a thing! The operation went well and I am so glad to have had a wonderful team lead me through it. I confess to being the biggest wimp on earth when it comes to, even just the thought, of someone…read morereaching into my mouth with a metal tool that has a demonic hook on the end for prodding into my molars. We're talking "through-the-roof" anxiety-ridden fear. I'd rather get in the ring and deal with the ferocious right hook of young Mike Tyson, than to see that diabolical dental hook coming towards my mouth. A recent visit to my dentist resulted in them scheduling an appointment for me with something called an endodontics office, where I would experience my worst nightmare -- the dreaded root canal. For the days leading up to the appointment I couldn't get the image out of my head of Moe Howard reaching into Curly's mouth with pliers and pulling with all his might. I didn't sleep for days. When I arrived, the staff was terrific at easing my obvious anxiety as best they could. They informed me that Dr. Susie Koagel would be handling the procedure. When she entered the treatment room she was wearing a Florida Gators dental cap. I should mention here that I am a diehard Georgia Bulldog. So the cap was not a good omen. In my mind she obviously knew I was Dawg and was here to inflict as much extra pain as possible upon me. Anxiety levels went nuclear, and procedure began. I will never say a poor word about her Gators ever again. I realize this sounds ridiculously improbable, but on a scale of 1-10 the pain level was a "0". Even when she was giving the local anesthetic I didn't feel a thing. I think it was because she was spraying air (water?) in the area of the tooth while simultaneously injecting the local. However she did it, it was amazing, zero pain. They slapped a set of headphones on me, turned on the TV, turned it up loud at my fear-driven request for drowning out any noise, and got to work. I hung out watching/listening to Field of Dreams. The local had been delivered perfectly because that side of my mouth was completely numb throughout the entire procedure. Again, absolutely no pain at all. I never felt a damn thing. Dr. Koagel is the sole reason I will never fear a dentist or endodontist office again. That's something I never even remotely thought could be possible. For that reason alone, I will forever owe her a debt of gratitude. If you need an endodontist, look no further than Crabapple Endodontics and Dr. Susie Koagel.

I go for my cleaning twice a year and they would give me a small goodie bag after with toothpaste and a toothbrush. Before my scheduled appointment, I get a reminder close to the date and I can check in through my phone. I also usually never have to wait long at all before being seen for my appointment. They are located in a fairly busy area with other businesses right next to and all around it. I've never had a problem finding parking. I like the genuineness and care provided there, and I would highly recommend anyone looking for a new dentist to go there.

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Roswell Dental Smiles…read more I responded to their advertised $99 "new patient special" for x-rays, exam, and cleaning. I was charged $546.93 after being told I required a gum treatment before they could clean my teeth. I agreed because Dr. Saranya Sakthivadivel REFUSED to do my cleaning if the treatment wasn't done first. After the treatment was done the hygienist began scaling but did not finish the cleaning, and polishing was never performed. I was instructed to return in one month to (1) verify whether the gum treatment worked and (2) finish the cleaning at no additional cost. The front office coordinator, Molli Scissel, confirmed this when I checked out. At my follow-up visit, instead of evaluating my gum treatment or finishing the work I already paid for, I was immediately presented with a new $193 bill for another cleaning. I showed my original receipt, and the receptionist AGREED I had already paid until Dr. Saranya Sakthivadivel entered and insisted it was "separate." She refused to proceed unless I paid again, and still did not perform the gum treatment follow-up she was supposed to check. I later filed a BBB complaint, which the office ignored completely. In response documentation, the dentist falsely claimed I used "inappropriate language," which never happened, an attempt to discredit me instead of addressing what actually occurred. I have call logs and voicemail screenshots showing their claims about contacting me were untrue, and that my voicemail was never full. This review is not about disliking a procedure it is about: * being billed for services not rendered, * being told verbally that something would be included only to be charged again, * medical follow-up being skipped, and * false statements made about my behavior. I am pursuing this matter with my bank, the Georgia Board of Dentistry, and the Attorney General. I am also prepared to pursue this matter in small claims court if it is not resolved. This was a deeply unprofessional experience, and future patients should be aware.

Dr. Randolph O'Conner, DMD, of Northwest Endodontic Specialists, helped me when I was in tremendous…read morepain from an infected and exposed root. The pain was agonizing and the throbbing so bad that my entire jaw felt like it was on fire. I had never been to him before, but in spite of this, he made time for me and did an emergency root canal. If he hadn't helped me, I would have gone to the E.R., that's how bad it was. Dr. Byrd recommended him and then even called and asked if he was available. I went over immediately (it was only a ten minute drive) and was in the chair within minutes. Dr. O'Conner was wonderful. Very thorough and explained everything very well and made it all easily understandable (even to me, in my agonizing state!). He did a great job. The pain is now gone!! There's no infection anymore either. He prescribed antibiotics in case of any swelling, but I haven't needed them. Immediately after the appointment, I had some post-operation pain, but it was minimal and nothing like what I was experiencing when I walked in to his office. This was Friday afternoon. Most dentists were closed and wouldn't reopen until Tuesday, due to Labor Day. I can't imagine having to wait that long in such unbearable pain. I am so thankful to Dr. O'Conner and his staff! They were all kind and caring and very helpful.
