I have been going to their office on and off for a few years now. I scheduled an appointment. They called day before appointment and said they referred me to someone that does implants. Told them I did not want an implant but probably go with a denture at this time. Amy didn't seem to comprehend I wasn't interested in implants, and she canceled my appointment. I need a tooth removed before it becomes infected. Amy probably was just doing her job but obviously wasn't listening to me. Went in for tooth pain and possible extraction. I told them that I had a horrible gag reflex and did not want a bite wing x-ray. They not only did they do a bite wing but they continued multiple times while I gagged. Then Doc did a 3 minute check of tooth and said they could not do extraction and referred me to specialist. Here's the kicker: specialist asked for panaramic x-ray only because tooth is near nasal cavity. Total waste of $149. I will now have to pay 200+ for panoramic and consult. I highly recommend don't use their service. I went there to get second opinion and I had my own x-rays but they charged me $99 for nothing and wasted my time. When I complained why you are charging $99 for just a second opinion consultation and another dentist just charged $45 for x-ray and consultation was free, they said it is what it is. Take it or leave and when you are in pain you take it. Also very poor and unfriendly staff. read more

Dr. Starnes restored my gums and my smile including fixing a chip in my front tooth. I was complimented on the way my teeth looked all the time. She went the extra mile to help me and all her patients I was told. As a result I wrote a few positive reviews in the past. When Dr. Starnes retired a different dentist there suggested I not keep replacing the chip but file it down instead. It looks horrible now and I could not be more disappointed. I went to Suwanee Dental to get a broken tooth extracted, ($200). I was told that I needed a bone implant after the extraction, ($600). The upsell here is terrible. I had pain and numbness for 2 weeks so I went back. Dr. Williams treated me as if I didn't know what I was talking about. He said there was no reason I should be feeling numbness and pain. He packed the hole and told me he would call at the end of the week to see how I was. Never heard from him or anyone else. There are plenty of great affordable Dentists out there. This practice has perfected the upsell and uses it on everyone. Do yourself a favor and find a practice where you are not funding the Annual employee cruise or mission trip. And no I'm not interested in reaching out to the office Manager as I see her attempting on every negative review. read more

My husband and I had been with this practice since it's old location 10 years ago. Cindy the billing specialist left and now their billing is horrible and we refuse to go back. We have been turned over to collections for PAID bills (more than once) and all the bills come without any explanation of benefits. This happened again last week (have not been in 6 months) for an $1800 bill we PAID. When my husband went to show them proof of payment, biller refused to speak with him even though she was behind the front desk. I don't know if this new biller doesn't know what she is doing or if there is questionable practices, either way it is a horrible shame the practice is being represented that way. I have been a patient of Suwanee Family Dentistry now since back when they had combined about 10 women hygienists, 2 doctors and no men. Now they have, I would guess, about 18 highly trained professionals and no men. That works for me and what also works for me is they are the absolute best dental practice in the US! I am 58 years old and I have lived a number of places and had lots of dentists since childhood. Suwanee Family Dentistry cured my gum disease, fixed all my teeth in need of assistance and replaced the mercury fillings that were lodged in my head since the sixties spewing out toxicity like miniature Chernobyl's. People compliment me on my smile all the time time now and that never happened until I started coming here about nine years ago. They are always upbeat, conversational, compassionate and caring. I sometimes ask for extra little mouthwash bottles in hopes that whatever they are drinking to make them this way might rub off on me somehow. But in all seriousness, the practice is incredible! THIS PRACTICE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! The professionalism of the management staff at this office is absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I decided to try Invisalign and was led to believe for 2 months that the charges were covered by my insurance, after rec. bills in the mail, I would have to call the office multiple times, weekly for clarity on if I had a balance or not...no response...I got up to 3 trays and was told nothing was covered and I was out of pocket $5000...I wanted to discuss options with the Office / Billing Manager with no returned calls...I cancelled my service due to no communication and still paid them $2000 for only 3 trays of Invisalign which I knew I would have a patient portion to pay which was no problem but they simply refuse to properly communicate with paying customers...moving forward to my new Orthodontist who stated to save me another $1000 in lab fees, all I would have to do is have Suwanee Family Dentistry transfer my case electonically to them, which they REFUSE to do!!! I discovered Suwanee Family Dentistry just by Google searching for dentists in the area when I had an urgent dental problem. The receptionist was so nice. She seemed concerned for my personal comfort and booked me an appointment the very next day. Considering how popular they are I was very surprised to be seen so soon! The next time I needed an appointment, I had to leave a message with the scheduling service, but I received a txt the next day asking me about about the appointment. The receptionist continued to txt me until we found the perfect appointment time. Seeing that I couldn't physically talk on the phone while I was working, I loved the fact that I could make an appointment so easily. If I could give them 50 stars I would! I've been going here for at least a decade (I think!?) and have always received the most amazing service. My cousin also went here for several years before she moved out of state, and 1 of my best friends has been going here for years too. Melissa usually does my cleanings & I. Just. Love. Her.!!! :-) But everyone there is professional, prompt and cordial. It's seriously like being among great girl friends when I go there. They know about my kids & prob as much of my business as my hair stylist....so that tells you how comfortable I've become there!! You can't ask for more really. Except maybe for my insurance to cover more! I also think their pricing for teeth whitening gel is super affordable. They have really early hours for anyone not able to miss work too. The hygienist was really nice but she didn't perform the best. I had a deep cleaning and she didn't do a good job with the cleaning. My condition was still the same as if I never had the deep cleaning. The next time I came back in to see the dentist for a different service, I saw the hygienist and she had this fake guilty look on her face b/c she knew she didn't do her best work on my cleaning. Now about the dentist, she seem nice but every time I saw her she was always rushing me. She never ask me if I had any questions after she rush to explain the normal procedures. I had to stop her from rushing out of the room just to ask her some questions I needed to ask. As a patient, we should be taken seriously. She also rushed when working on my crown and filling. After a few days from getting my crown, I kept having pain. I called the office and the dentist didn't have a sense of care about it. She told the front desk that she's not available to at the moment and that I can come in on a different day that she will be in. I was in pain, this should be an emergency! When I was finally able to see the dentist, she act as if my pain was nothing. She took a look at my tooth and quickly said "oh, it's just b/c of your bite that caused the pain". She buffed my top tooth a little and said I'll be fine. I said I still have pain and needed some medication to help b/c I was unable to sleep at night and affected my performance at work. She prescribed me a pain medication. As I got to my car and looked at the prescription, the PATIENT NAME was someone else's name NOT mine. Was this intentionally or she rushed to do everything? I walked back into the office and told the front desk lady about this, the dentist came up and printed out the correct prescription with the correct name... mine. Overall, this dentistry is a terrible place. I did not have a great experience. These people are fake and don't care about their patients. They only care about the money. There's no passion. Always rushing to get as many patients in and out so they can hurry up and go on with their day. read more

My family has been patients there for few years now and do not get me wrong I LOVE all the Dentists and everyone that works on me. I have an issue with the billing department. I recently discovered that I had been overcharged on my last 3 visits. It was not brought to my attention until my FSA company started denying the claims because they did not match up. I brought it to their attention on Dec 11th and at the time they said they needed to wait to get my most recent EOB back. That was fine and I understood. So, my EOB came back, and they overcharged me again for about $100. Since then, I have been calling and emailing trying to get someone to respond and have they will not call ma back. I have called every day this week trying to get the office manager to call me back and still no luck. It is Jan 14th and at this point I am willing to let them keep the $212 they owe me and take my family of 5 somewhere else. This is worst customer service I have ever received!!!!!!!!! read more

DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE FOR YOUR FAMILY! I, and my family have had several thousand dollars worth of work repairing the damage caused by this shoddy dental practice!! Poorly fitted caps, missed cavities, nine different fillings replaced one year after being put in(multiple children), double billed insurance, even broke my child's retainer three times (as shown on their own before and after pics they gave me) and refusal to acknowledge anything went wrong. We could not leave this place fast enough! Suwanee Family Dentistry is so bad, our current dentist asked us if we had gone to a dentist outside the U.S. for the caps, fillings, etc!!! My family is new to Georgia, my kids and husband have been seeing them for a year or so, my family has insurance under my husband and we never have balance overdue. Well, that what's considered to be good customer, right? Finally I got a chance to make my first visit to dental office, I filled out the new patients forms including a form to accept my financial responsibility for the services I received, well, that is fair and I have no objection. After turning in all the new patient forms I was called upon by the receptionist telling me I have to provide my social security number. Firstly, I never gave out my SS# to any doctor's office, secondly this dental office has been operating without either my husband or my SS# for the past family's visits and it has been fine, all in a sudden that becomes a problem? I insisted I will not give out my SS# and they said I can sign a form to waive that requirement but I have to pay the service out of pocket at my visits, they will not file insurance. Here is what doesn't make sense : does that mean if my other family members (their old patients and under the same insurance) visit them next time they have to pay in full as well, but all along this dental office has had no problems filing insurance ? I can understand that apply to new patients, in doing so they may better protect their financial interests. But that is not my case, my family has been seeing them, they have our records, we pay our bills!!! I was appalled the way I was treated, the front office has not demonstrated any flexibility and good judgement but adhere to the "1-size-fit-all" policy that will only drive their good customers away! read more

Melissa is the best hygienist ever ! Tiffany is the only dentist assistant that I want in my room she makes me feel very comfortable and at easy every time .The office manager Cindy takes care of all of your needs from top to bottom .
