You can set up a dance floor, buffet, and tables to your liking, but the space is quite large, so plenty of room for your inspirations. Bathrooms are specking clean, totally classy. There are 2 waiting/powder rooms, beautiful and decked out with mirrors and chairs. The high ceilings create beautiful acoustics with the band playing. Just charming. Lighting is warm and bright, inviting but not glaring. You could dress the place up or down to your liking, and there are lots that your imagination would love to play with here. I didn't check on the price for renting the space, but I'm sure they are pretty reasonable.

The farm was established in the 1850's as a lime kiln and quarry, and became Milwaukee's largest lime producer. My family visits for the nice craft fairs. Visiting this past weekend, my son and I were given lots of mini "tours". Just ask the volunteers for the history of the place and you will get a great explanation of lime quarrying and the building and the history. I enjoyed the Curtis house, and hearing about the gentleman that lived there, who translated Quo Vadis and had an incredible life as a statesman, and eventually "Curtis Hall" at UW-M was named after him. Trimborn also hosts several War encampments, a summer concert series, and day camps for kids. The Spring crafts show was pretty small, the Fall one is the Daddy of them all, and falls on 9/10-11, 2011.

I tried the sausage and the pepperoni with jalapenos. I usually don't like pepperoni. This was fabulous! It had a job of sweetness to it and the tiny pepperonis weren't bitter and overpowering. The jalapenos added just a little punch and the slice was perfectly balanced. I truly enjoyed it and I haven't enjoyed pizza since college back in the 1980's! We were treated to a cotton candy glitter puff to drop in our warm mulled wine. I'm adventurous so I tried it! I enjoyed the beverage but I'm not sure if the cotton candy added anything to the drink. It was super sweet but I LOVE super sweet wine so that was fine by me! The fact that the beverage was warm made it perfect in my opinion. The glitter bomb part -- I'm not so are about. It was something to do. I don't think I understood the instructions or maybe I didn't understand what was supposed to happen. I did, however, love the drink. I think this is one of the most charming venues in town. It's available for rental and the business owners can cater your event. We got a taste of what they can do so I can only imagine what's available when they roll out the carpet for their customers. Drop in access check this spot out. It's charming and cozy.
