I purchased a Jayco sprinter van from Johnson RV. It immediately had problems with an overcurrent in the lithionics system. The bed and water pump shut down. I called their service department and they couldn't see me for 2 weeks. 5 days after the drop off, they called me for pick up. I took it home, and experienced the same problem - because all they did was reset the breaker. I called them again, took it in again, and this same situation happened again (they just reset it again). So I called them a third time, which they didn't give me an appointment again for another 2 weeks. I waited the 2 weeks, took it in, they took 10 days to even submit a claim to the warranty department. They failed to include the serial and model number for the parts needed. 2 working days later, Jayco reminded them they needed the serial and part numbers. 7 days later, Johnson RV again submitted photos of the batteries, but not of the serial/model numbers of the parts requested. Another 7 days later (we're almost 2 months now) I call Jayco Warranty Department myself, and find out all this... and have to call Johnson RV and speak to the service department wondering why the diagnostic and part numbers weren't requested when I originally brought it in. This should have easily been fixed back in March when I first purchased the van (broken) and here we are at the end of July (still in the shop). Also, while on the phone with Jayco, they mentioned Lithionics has an amazing app that will walk you through and diagnose exactly what is wrong. With this at Johnson RV's disposal, I am extremely surprised at the lack of abilities the service techs are showing. Very disappointed. In a second issue, also back when we purchased in March, the coach cab was missing some screw caps. The service department said I needed to contact the sales person. The sales person said they ordered it. They didn't. When I came in weeks later it still had not been ordered and the service department said they would order it. When I came in the third time (for the above overcurrent problem previously mentioned) they said, "oh, this is a Mercedes thing, it's in the cab so you need to contact Mercedes yourself." I did contact Mercedes and they had the screw covers mailed and in my hands in less than 24 hours. What I want to know is why it took Johnson RV from March to June to tell me to contact Mercedes myself, but instead they were running me around between departments at their own dealership. My advice - the service technicians have no idea what they are doing. The company wastes your time. I still don't have my BRAND NEW RIG out of the shop and it has been over 4 months now. This should have been a very easy fix. It appears it just needs the smart connects switched out. It's insane that I am telling them what's wrong... a woman with no mechanic skills... and blows my mind the lack of service I am receiving. Just a runaround. read more

Reposting: Terrible communications, does not return phone calls or emails (personnel, management or customer care). Chips and damage to brand new RV not disclosed by salesman after requesting inspection. Sales Manager used the F word in describing how badly salesman messed up. Manager was arrogant and argumentative. Hidden extra costs and fees after agreeing to have none. No follow through on spare wheel/tire/carrier. No follow through on missing items in the RV. Manufacturer rebate not applied for by JRV even after they said they did (twice). They messed up the registration and title as our RV would have been titled in another buyer's name. No battery test report received as promised. Incorrect information from finance manager on theft prevention program. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. Their "Mission and Values" statements are a joke. Update: In addition to the above: All tires were overinflated and one inside dually tire was completely flat. After one month, the EcoFlow power station needed to be replaced. Now, (have not even used the van yet) half our interior lighting does not work. I also discovered after contacting Mercedes and Winnebago that my dealer (Johnson RV Sandy) was supposed to complete a form "Delayed Warranty Form" as per Winnebago Service Bulletin 7SB009-23-02A. I was told to contact them to complete this form so that my proper warranty start date (date of purchase) would update with Mercedes. I reluctantly called Johnson RV and requested that this form be filed (it takes all of 5 minutes on-line). After another call, messages and no return calls, I gave up! Luckily for me, Winnebago and my Mercedes shop got everything fixed. Johnson RV is a failure. read more

I purchased the extended warranty and have now taken my van in three times for a leak that is still unresolved. Each time, I was told they could not find the issue--even though the leak is obvious. At one point, they claimed it must have been fixed when they "tightened things," but the leak is still present. They also replaced the battery relay, but when I picked up my van the battery was dead and the AC had been left running. Since then, the battery drains very quickly whenever I run off the house battery. After speaking with DM Vans, I learned they were extremely concerned that the solar system was repeatedly charging the van only for the AC to immediately drain it again--an issue that may have been going on for a long time without my knowledge. On top of that, the AC unit has now been hit and is falling down. I have been trying to reach a manager for three weeks, with multiple promises of call-backs, but I've received no resolution and no return calls. This has been a deeply frustrating experience. Between the unresolved leak, the battery/AC issues, and the lack of communication, I feel let down and very concerned about the quality of service and accountability. read more

We purchased a brand new RV from Johnson RV in July 2025, and the most significant issues have been how our unit was handled while in their possession for warranty service. What should have remained a new RV has instead become a materially compromised unit due to negligent handling and repeated service-related issues while at their facility. Problems began during the walkthrough due to improper handling. Since then, the RV has repeatedly been in and out of service for warranty issues including the door, plumbing, wall panels, and electrical components. A pattern developed where repairs were marked complete when they were not, and additional damage occurred while the RV was being serviced, including flooring and siding damage. This negligent handling of our new unit has negatively affected the value, condition, reliability, and safety of the RV. In one instance, damage was attributed to us until before-and-after video evidence showed it occurred while the RV was in their possession. The RV has also been stored outdoors for months due to ongoing repairs as a result of their negligent care of the new RV, enduring heavy storms while awaiting service, despite us having purchased covered storage to protect our new RV. The RV has been out of our possession for over 40% of the time since purchase, resulting in canceled trips and significant loss of use. Due to repeated service-related damage and incomplete repairs, it no longer reflects the new unit we purchased. We are still awaiting a response from Johnson RV for a fair resolution. We saw it in action as eyewitnesses at the car show today and are truly shocked and dismayed at your team's behavior towards your new recruit Nanci. She was helping us process the paperwork on purchasing a 2022 Leisure Travel unity van. You top producer entered the van with his clients as we were going to the salesmanager's desk to sign the contract, both persons at the desk were assisting others and wouldn't even acknowledge Nanci's presence, your finance manager came by and introduced himself and shook our hands while Nanci informed him of our desire to "close the deal". While we were still waiting for someone to help us Nanci suggested we fill out the information at the table inside another van, the other salesman came in and snuck his paperwork in before Nanci claiming he was first. When the finance manager was called and asked to verify our first arrival not only did he back away and refused to bear witness but also banned together with his good ol' boys to block out the female salesperson. They all sided with your top sales person who sneaked his paperwork in through his cronies. WOW, you have the system all set up to fail the best female sales rep we have ever met at Johnson RV. We purchased a used RV from Johnson that was on consignment at the end of 2024. This was a six figure purchase. This saga is now coming to and end late 2025. Initial sale went well. When buying a used RV from Johnson, they tout a 70plus point inspection of your purchase. Keep in mind, all of the items I am bringing up are on their 70 plus point PDI inspection report. Upon our 1st pick up from the dealership, I had checked a couple items. one of the ceiling fans leaked water and was not working and I found a coffee spill stain on the mid bath toilet seat. Okay, minor items. Follow along. during our first few days of having at our home, we discovered many items approx 14 that they had not looked at or addressed. I asked them for a copy of their check sheet, which they replied "we just toss those out". Seems like this would be put into the sales file on their end. Here are some of the in-op items items. Dash heat A/C Many of the interior lights Infotainment center Wobble in the steering Kitchen slide issues *Carpet was filthy, but I did not see that on their list. I would think they would do this anyway when detailing to sell. Part of the sales deal was all new tires which were replaced as well as new chassis batteries. Batteries will come up later. After contacting Johnson about all these things they missed, they agreed to take care of them. They also hooked us up with a contact that would be our go between for all of these issues which was great for the most part. So, they agreed to take care of the issues we would just need to bring it back to them. It is an hour plus drive plus fuel. Keep in mind this is a 43' diesel coach. It took 2 trips up there and still all the items were not addressed. On the 2nd trip the dash heat was finally fixed but Feightliner lost our keys which they had to replace and after being at Freightliner for at least a week or so, they could not fix it. Johnson's mechanic happen to find it in about 20 min. A kinked heater hose. Arrrrg. Not all was negative. There was an issue with one of the motors on the kitchen slide right out of the gate. Johnson did come to our home to replace that motor. Ultimately that did not solve the issue. After many months the slide repair was taken care of at Premier RV in Junction City only because Johnson's repair staff just does not have the skills for the repair that was made. Not a big deal. They also had to replace the front tires again with a different brand to solve the wobble. That was great. drives like a dream now. Just a couple months ago we took the coach on a trip again with a non-op slide.This was before the repair at Premier. When we were just a mile or so from home the alternator seized and broke the belt. That was a $1500 repair. Again not Johnson's responsibility. That being said, I think it failed due to water getting into the alternator. On it's 2nd trip to Johnson, I asked them if they would swap out our MB faucet with a nicer one that we purchased. They obliged at no charge. On that trip we found water leaking under the sink. Keep in mind there is an access hatch under that sink that allows access to the top of the motor right where the alternator sits. I cant completely confirm this is what happened, but the coach only has about 65,000 mile on it. During the alternator repair it came to my attention that the chassis batteries were from 2019, which took out the new alternator almost right away. Remember, that was part of the deal. We even have signed document that they were replaced. So, the slide repair was extensive as it required a completely new and different system which Johnson agreed to cover. Over a $5000 dollar repair. At this point the dash A/C is still not working. We have never been able to use the coach at it full capacity and have been more than patient waiting for all of these repairs to be done. While it was at Premier, I had asked them to just take care of the A/C. I am just done with these issues. The invoice for that repair which is still not fixed was over $4000. Johnson said since it was not a pre approved repair, that they would not take care of it. Management also stated it was not in their scope of responsibility. It is on their own PDI report that they did not even follow. Because of the alternator, a few things we had Premier do and the A/C repair we have spent close to $10,000 out of our pocket. It has not even been a year since purchase. Remember they missed 14 items right out of the gate. I am guessing because of the cost that is why they are refusing to pay. I would caution purchasing anything used from them as they clearly don't have a competent staff to prep their used inventory for sale. If you choose to purchase from them, you better go over their check list to make sure all things promised were delivered. I feel management failed us in the end with their response. This is not our first RV. We will not purchase our next one from Johnson! That is for sure! read more

Customer Service is non-existant! They said they would take care of our problem but then didn't.

I've waited 3 months to post this review hoping the myriad of issues with this dealership would resolve favorably. Today was the final straw. I purchased a 2024 Heartland North Trails for Summer adventures. The salesman recommended I not look at too many units because the more units I looked, the more Indecisive I would become. (Obviously a problem, but I trusted my own knowledge of the parameters I was looking for). He rushed me through the process and I later discovered they documented on my warranty I purchased the RV April 4th when it was May 4th, shaving one month off of my manufacture warranty. The first two days I discovered the wrong table top was installed. I returned a week later they took measurements and reported the issue to Heartland. They said they would resolve this with them and call me in for the repair. After several text messages and calls to them they finally got a resolution to schedule a repair almost 3 months later. In the meantime, several items on the unit have malfunctioned including the front panel shaking loose and me having to duct tape it to the main frame to not lose it on a vacation. One of the stabilizing jack motors broke shortly thereafter. It is clear that the unit itself was poorly constructed, which isn't the dealer's fault. Their follow up and lack of expedience is unacceptable. Today was the day(7/26/24 I've wait over 3 months to resolve. I show up an hour early. They asked me to come back after their tech takes her lunch and returns at 1. No problem. I come back, get checked in and they had a couple of service items wrong. (I again don't feel heard after my many calls). Here's where it gets exasperating... She tells me they wouldn't be getting to the unit until Monday. I took the day off on Friday to bring my unit in. I find this incredibly frustrating and sensationally unprofessional. I truly feel I have no option, but to go back and get these repairs fixed at Bich's. This has been a huge inconvenience and I just want these issues resolved. Oh yes, and the table top had not even come in and they didn't call me to inform me of that. Helpless in Oregon!! read more

This is not a typical review, so read on dear reader. This week my wife and I purchased a new RV from Johnson RV in Sandy. The deposit was set, the financing was set, and the service people had the van, preparing it for our inspection. Heck, we even had an appointment for the walkthrough and delivery. Then life happened. I called and spoke with Sammy (one of our salespeople), and shared what had just occurred. I even told her I expected to lose my $2500 non-refundable deposit. She was understanding and kind. Even insisting that my deposit would be returned. Today the sales manager, Juan, reached out to make sure everything was ok. Turns out we had something in common. Not something good, but that common ground allowed us both to show compassion and kindness to one another. I left knowing that the staff at Johnson RV are a kind and caring bunch, who put people before making a sale. Oh yeah, the $2500 deposit I mentioned, was returned. This type of service seems rare. Genuine customer review here and will list the negatives at the end. Genuinely happy with our purchase. This was the first time purchasing a used trailer from a dealership. I have bought and sold cars and boats throughout my 25 years of marriage, but never a RV. I will say that I am pleasantly happy with Johnson RV for the following reasons. When it came to picking it up they had the RV pulled indoors ready for us to view the product prior to signing paperwork. It was raining cats and dogs on the day of pick up. I am very type A when it comes to wanting to make sure I am purchasing a quality product. They did deliver to me a quality used trailer, with all the appliances and features working in complete order and to my satisfaction. The walk through prior to signing on the dotted line was thorough and not rushed. Appreciate Ryan to accurately awnser all questions. Lots of wisdom! My husband and I had complete education of what we were purchasing. I did my research and can say, do not rush your purchase. I thought through everything for several years prior to purchase. Their interest rate was competitive with our credit union. The sales manager that we met at the end was excellent, I can not remember his name unfortunately. I believe him to be a very genuine person (Dec 7 2024). Sales woman, Sammie was pleasant, and the finance manager thoroughly talked us thru all the decisions making. The negatives....ok, there are going to be some. Stargard is a invasion of privacy and they were dead set that we would be required to purchase this as a option (995$). I feel this is a unnecessary expense. That is about all the negative I can see. Buying and selling cars and RVs is a business. Remember, they want to move their inventory and are trying to make a living. So far, so good on my end. They know that my 30,000 purchase today might be a 300-500k next go around! They are great when they want to sell you something. If you want to sell back that same item, no deal! We bought a 2022 coleman trailer, but we haven't even used it. We pulled home, and within weeks, my husband had a medical emergency that doesn't allow us to use the trailer. We tried to sell back to the dealership and they wouldn't even talk to us. We recently bought a brand new 2022 Winnebago Solis Pocket on 9/11 and everyone who helped us were very polite and kind. We love the RV, despite some lingering pre-delivery issues. Our first dilemma is that we had heard about the huge markups on RVs, but were somehow convinced by the salesman that Johnson RV's higher prices were worth it for their fast and high quality service department...Ha! We ended up overpaying by 20k for our van (based on findings days later) compared to identical Pockets at other dealerships. That really soured our excitement, but to make matters worse, we have to wait 4 weeks for our original Pre-Delivery Inspection issues to be addressed!! After waiting several days for a call, I had to call the service dept to schedule an appointment and the soonest they could see us was 10/8, FOUR WEEKS from our date of purchase! Better than the mid-December date they originally quoted me until I clarified what it was for. We're deflated having a brand new RV with a busted, non-functioning Truma heater that was promised to be fixed immediately while we were signing papers. With everything documented on our Pre-Delivery Inspection, I was expecting much quicker service and feel disappointed, misled, and taken advantage of by Johnson RV. He was very thorough with us, followed through on things that we asked about and wanted fixed on our new to us, used class A and even kept us updated during his vacation which he didn't need to do. I had Johnson RV consign our campervan last year and wish we didn't bother. It was great for them to come pick it up, post, etc. however in retrospect it was almost 'too good to be true'. After hearing how'd they sell it within a couple weeks, communication was lacking / disjointed. When our initial 90-day term was close to expiring, I was discussing renewing for another 90-days along with paying for them to winterize the rig, just to be called by their transportation clerk to arrange a time for them to bring back to me? Ok... When they brought it back, it was much dirtier than how I gave it to them, plus they had removed and LOST the rig's license plates! On top of the time I had to take going back to DMV to get replacement plates for $34.50, they went completely radio silent after saying they'd pay for it. 6 months later and after emailing again about it, no reimbursement... read more

Johnson RV messed up my excellent credit score then did the RV inspection and so call found a problem and could not sell it. They should have found the problem first before sending my credit information all over. Their mistake has count me dearly when I found an RV elsewhere. It took my excellent credit score and changed it to just good. I would not trust these people. read more

My first time purchasing an RV so I don't have a lot of experiences to compare it to. I would say 'proceed with caution'. Pros: great selection, very friendly and personable salespeople who helped identify vans that would work for me. They found out the answers to my questions, and patiently helped me walk through every feature to make sure I would be able to use it myself. Cons: Slippery purchase process. The financial managers refused to provide details about their financial services in advance (which I requested so I could compare them to third party offerings). They made a mistake on my invoice and under-charged me. Mistakes happen, but instead of calling or emailing to correct it and telling me about it, they just stuck a 'previous balance' into a list of (frankly overpriced) financial services they wanted to sell. They only confessed their error when I specifically asked what my 'previous balance' was for. Another 'Con', I was unable to get any help from anyone in the accessories department in spite of several days of trying, so I have to get my 'time sensitive' upgrades done elsewhere on my dime (instead of using a credit that is supposedly included with my purchase). Bottom line, I bought a van I am happy with and have no regrets about using Johnson RV. If you are thinking of using them go for it but, MAKE SURE YOU GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING AND READ THE FINE PRINT!!!! Also, don't count plan on responsiveness from their accessories and repairs people. (I will come back and update this review after I actually use my accessory credit and have more knowledge of how that department operates.). read more

I cannot tell you strongly enough how terrible my experience has been with this company. It took weeks to get my van picked up after I paid for it. Then the macerator broke on the first trip out and I lost the use of the RV the entire summer --- taking it in three times and spending over $100 in travel costs and 20 hours in the waiting room. I worked with the General Manager, and even tracked down the company owner on LinkedIn to try to get results. It's the end of August, and they finally delivered it to me. Within 48 hours the electrical system threw a disconnect warning and I have 0 power to my van. I don't want to take it back to Johnson RV and will be working with a mobile RV mechanic moving forward. I have the bumper to bumper warranty with JRV, but I'd literally rather pay out of pocket than continue to deal with this company. We just sold our 2021 Leisure Travel Wonder RL within one week using their consignment program. Our RV sold within one week and the process went very smoothly. At first we loved our service department representative, but he left and now the Service Department appears to be understaffed and overwhelmed. We have called numerous times to make an appointment and only get voicemail. Nobody calls us back. read more
