Prior to contacting Apache Camping Center, we did all the research that we felt we needed to do before plopping down a shiny new penny. As there wasn't any inventory locally to check out, we purchased, sight unseen, a 2022 Aliner Classic. Now the cast of characters that made it all possible: Erik, the salesperson was appropriately communicative, helpful, and responsive. From a sales perspective, I couldn't have asked for more or better. I'm not sure how he was able to secure the deal that we received, but I'm not asking any more questions. He was great! Doug, from the Service Department, gave me the Royal Tour of our new camper. I took copious notes, including annotated photos to recall the finer details of what he was presenting. I'll give you a pro tip: take full advantage of this time allotted to you. Its part of the package you're purchasing and being a first time RV buyer, it was invaluable. I asked him in the first few minutes of our interaction together if everything he would cover was in the manual. He looked at me and said, "Oh no. What I'm about to go over with you is from personal experience, observations, and tricks I've learned along the way." That's when it got really good. We covered EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING. He was very patient with me and I never felt rushed. The Service Department. Solid group of guys in there. They asked all the right questions and again, I wasn't oversold anything: just exactly what I needed. Sure, they gave me some options, but it was painless. The Gift Shop. No Tour is complete without going through the gift shop before you leave. Smart business move. You're already excited about your new camper, your head is full of new information from the walk-through and now you want some accessories. An example of Doug's attentiveness: he recalled early in our meeting that my wife and I have a dog and she'll be traveling with us. Among other recommendations, he pointed out the carpeted stair covers. Not only was he paying attention, he wasn't selling me anything, but merely pointing out appropriate and relative purchase recommendations to enhance our overall experience. Lastly, Laura from the Finance Department. Frankly, I dread those talks, but she was quick, efficient, and didn't waste my time. She gave me ALL of the paperwork and other documents to review. Wife and I came by to look into getting a camper I can tow with a Wrangler. We ended up ordering a 2023 T@B 320 from the nuCamp factory equipped and in the color of our preference. We've been working with Chuck through the process, asking questions. and I totally appreciate the level of knowledge and easy-going approach he provides. Additionally, the price we were quoted compared to MSRP reflected a significant savings. About a month or so more of waiting, then I'll return to pick it up where they'll assist me with the brake controller installation and whatever else comes along with receiving a camper. read more

For the "safety of their customers" they lock the gates even when you have an appointment. You can safely wait on the Fuller entrance, but they insist on having you wait on a busy entrance on 82nd. Not very customer service oriented. Had an appointment but had to wait 20 min. Came back and Charlie took really good care of us. He is very knowledgeable and friendly. Great selection. read more

What a fantastic experience! I knew pretty much what I wanted and our first visit was perfect, they are not pushy sales people at all! Fantastic customer service and genuine. We scheduled our pick up one week later and that experience was even better. They had all our financial paperwork ready, we got our hitch installed and training on using the pop up and all it's features. All this in about an hour and a half. We purchased an Aliner 2004 camper from Apache. We were told the used camper we purchased was 1275 lbs. We were told the table/bed platform would be there when we picked up the camper, it was not. They said it they would ship it within 2 weeks. We were told the table would be shipped to us, which it was but not without asserting myself that it needed to be shipped (we live 5 hours from Portland). They explained this is because tables get damaged in the mail. We received the table over two months after picking up the camper. When we weighed the camper with less than 150 lbs of our gear, no propane or batteries it weighed 1800 lbs. When I called to express my shock that the trailer was over the weight they had told me, I was offered a refund. Which was very nice except I have already put money into the camper. When I called to discuss options, I was lectured about how my communication is a problem by the president of the company and told that they are good people trying to do their job. They offered to sell me a brand new camper under 1500 lbs at their price (it would take 3-4 months) and they would take back the camper they sold me for a full refund. Since i already made improvements to the camper we purchased and did not want to spend more money on a new camper, I sold my car and bought a car that could tow the camper. i am leaving this review for you to be informed. The End. Update: On the day I wrote this review I received an email from the president of the company 10 days after I sent him an email. He informed me he would be sending me a $250 check for customer goodwill. read more

I don't normally spend time doing reviews on companies, but we had such an incredible experience with the fine folks at Apache that I felt compelled to spend some time giving credit where credit is due. My wife and I spent a lot of time researching 5th wheel trailers. We went to a few big dealers in our area and determined that we really wanted an Arctic Fox 27-5l 5th wheel, however we wanted some options that most dealers didn't have, such as 50 amp service so we could add a 2nd air conditioning unit for summer camping. Our local huge RV center had some trailers but not with 50 amp or some of the other options we wanted. After calling around and being told by virtually every dealer that we were out of luck, we tried Apache, and it turned out to be an amazing experience. We hooked up with salesman Bill, who was absolutely amazing every step of the way. Bill was able to custom order a 2018 trailer with every single option we wanted, and still came in thousands below what some other dealers wanted for their trailers with virtually no options!! We ordered the trailer and it was built exactly how we wanted. We even got to pick out the color scheme. How cool is that? We were set to pick the trailer up at the beginning of the summer when I had an accident and broke my foot. Unable to walk, drive, etc. No problem! They kept it on the lot safe and sound until I was able to heal up enough to walk in an air cast and then come get it. No complaints, no worries. The day we were set to pick up the trailer, we get there and finally meet Bill in person (by the way he is an incredibly nice man) and he immediately sets up a tour of our trailer in which another really nice guy, Keith, gives us a complete tour and shows us every single switch, feature, etc. We go in to financing where the finance lady (so sorry I cannot remember her name but she was absolutely amazing as well. Best finance person we have ever worked with.) and although we brought a bank check, we decided to add on the extra 7 year warranty. She called and worked with our out of State local credit union and has things all smoothed out within 20 minutes. Again, how smooth can this go??? She was awesome!! Within 2 hours our hitch was installed, our tour was done, our papers were signed and I was getting training on how to hook up the 5th wheel (at this point we had owned trailers but never a 5r.) Oh and they gave us $100 credit to purchase odds and ends from the parts department! So as you can see, we couldn't have had a smoother or better buying experience. It is like I told my wife, "Finally! This is how a buying experience should be!!!" Now one last thing...the day after we got to our campsite about 8pm on a Thursday and I could not figure out how to release the 5th wheel hitch. We called Bill who had two different techs call us within 5 minutes and walk me through the process. (Turns out you have to raise the trailer up high enough to take the pressure off.) Once again, going above and beyond!! Amazing! So in summary folks, I cannot speak highly enough about Apache RV. It's not a huge lot by any means, but it is huge on customer experience. The pricing, the sales team, the financing, the parts and service departments were all 100% top notch. We will tell anyone who will listen about Apache, in fact we already gave two tours of the trailer at our campground and told them to go to Apache. read more

The date on this review is approximately five months after our original purchase because I'm not convinced by a sales department. I felt really good during the buying experience (a couple of months from initial look to final purchase). But, for me, it's service after the sale - you know, when they aren't going to make money, how are you treated then? That's when you find out what kind of people you are really dealing with. I don't think there's time or space here to describe how good I feel about the service I've received after the sale. Our first trip back was to have explained some of the newer features of our Outdoors RV. I could have looked it up the answers in the manuals, but I wanted to see... They were patient, pleasant, and helpful - walking through every step with me to be sure I "had" it. I left feeling glad I'd come. And, more recently, when I did have a problem - not Apache's fault - the staff went to the factory and resolved my concern perfectly! Jeremiah specifically made a point of my satisfaction. On a weekend Apache was doing a show, he made sure that my trailer was repaired and ready to pick-up at the time promised, he showed me the faulty part, explained what the problem was, and made me feel really good about their commitment to my satisfaction after the sale. At my age, I don't know how many more trailers I'll buy, but I know where I'll get them. And, for as long as people like Jeremiah work there, I'll be confident of service after the sale. We recently bought a trailer from them. We drove from out of state to get it because they were the only ones that had that model. They knew for 5 days we were coming. I don't think they looked at it till the morning we got it. When we got home (200 miles) we found out there were wires hanging under it next to tires almost to ground. Not sure if brakes or lights but it may have been disastrous if caught on something. We believe they pilfered from our trailer because they had a RV show that weekend. Fire alarm had no battery and was just hanging open. The cutting board over stove and sink cover missing. End cap on sewer hose holder missing. Seat in dinette ripped at seam. We didn't notice because table obscured it. Hand towel ring and toilet paper holder not mounted because he said people want it in different places. He should have asked us where we wanted it and took 10 minutes to do it. However the part that screws to wall for toilet paper holder is missing, he said he'd find but didn't and screws missing for both. Some of the cupboard doors really stick and one won't stay closed. My husband checked the tires and they were all 5-7 lbs low! Very poor prep on our trailer. Some real safety issues! I'm thankful we got home safely. I hope the rest of their service department is better. Because of this we cannot recommend them. See photos. Update: we've had trailer 3 days have not camped and we were told the ripped cushion isn't under warranty because we didn't catch it on walk through. OMG! read more

I was able to convince Doug to have the supplier of a part ship it directly to me instead of first shipping to Apache and then to me. This saved time/cost. The worst customer service that I have ever seen. First of all when you call the service or parts departments it is very difficult to get help. When you do finally get help, the people (in both departments) are extremely rude and unprofessional and act like they don't have time for you. Also, they like to add costs on the back end. I ended up ordering some parts that had to be paid for in advance but when I went to pick them up they said I owed them more money. If I ran my business like this it would have failed long ago. I will never buy another thing from this company ever again. I've never seen a more rude and unprofessional crew in my life. read more

We placed a deposit on a new trailer that I found on RVTrader in their Everett WA store a week ago. We negotiated a fair price with James. We worked out a deal to have the trailer moved to their store in Portland OR, where we would take delivery of it. Laura, in Portland, will be taking care of the paperwork. I must say they have been outstanding in their customer service. Since we are purchasing this trailer sight unseen, I have been sending a list of questions, along with requests for pictures. Apache Camping is about as good an experience you can hope for when buying an RV. Our salesman was Chuck Mathews who I first met over an email inquiry. He responded to me ASAP and from that moment was very helpful and available. Such a great guy! We asked a million questions and changed our minds a lot. He was always patient and kind. When we finally decided on the rig we wanted and the pick up date, Apache was professional and efficient. The hitch was installed promptly and Doug Zeiler did our orientation. He was super nice, very thorough and added some fun to the day. A few small items were missing from our new rig at the time of pick up. No biggie in itself but this turned out to be a two-month arduous ordeal to go from having the parts ordered to the actual receipt of them. (It took several back and forth emails with Doug (who wasn't always prompt at getting back to us), before they arrived in the mail, just today in fact. I'm honestly unsure if this delay rests with Apache or with Northwood (if the latter this doesn't bode well for future service needs). In either case it was annoying, yes but our Arctic Fox is great....There's no "perfect" RV nor is there a perfect RV buying experience. I bought our very first RV here and was blown away by the quality of service from end to end. I had research nuCamp T@B 400 campers for some time and found exactly what I wanted on Apache's website. I called to inquire and spoke with Bill, who immediately became one of the most trusted salespeople with whom I've ever had the pleasure of working. He answered all of my questions clearly and patiently over the phone, and I decided to put down a deposit. Over the coming two weeks, I had all sorts of questions. I would be driving up to Portland from Santa Cruz, so I had to make sure that I understood everything I needed to make a safe trip home. Bill answered countless emails and phone calls from me. He was always upbeat and helpful. I especially appreciated his honesty when I asked if I needed one thing or another for the camper. Rather than try to make an extra buck, he'd tell me if he thought an accessory I thought I needed was unnecessary. When the time came, my daughter and I drove to Portland and headed to Apache in Happy Valley, OR the next day. Bill adjusted his schedule to let us come in a little early, and he made sure we were well taken care of by the staff. Frank and Bob did a phenomenal job getting the hitch and sway bar system installed; Laura in finance was friendly and efficient with the paperwork and in processing the payment, and; Keith was incredible with the walkthrough tour and explanation of the camper. He answered all of our questions, explained things clearly, had a good sense of humor, and made sure we were all set for a smooth and safe two-day trip back to Santa Cruz. I was nervous given that I'd never towed anything before, but he gave us tips and tricks to ease my nerves. Keith also helped us get set up with the accessories we needed and, like Bill, didn't try to upsell products he knew we didn't need. We paid $500 up front to have a fireplace installed in our ORV 24RKS Titanium trailer, based on a quote from Apache. Waited 3 months based on their schedule, then after we leave the trailer for the install, I get a panic call that the trailer is a different model (not the case) and they can't do the install. No skill, No talent, No class. What a bunch of hacks! They wrecked our cabinet door, banged up the stile and trim, and smeared caulking all over the exterior. They tried to hide the broken door, only admitting to it after we entered our trailer. What the heck! Only refunded a portion of our deposit, were extremely rude, and we would recommend not dealing with Apache for any service or purchase issues! Unbelievably Dreadful experience! Considering writing to the Better Business Bureau on this one... So I found a trailer online and spoke with the owner on the phone. I agreed to purchase the trailer (2015 model) if it was in good condition and he assured me up and down it was. So I go to pick it up... am rushed through basic operating instructions and sent to the finance office to sign and pay. I was not offered a warranty and when I hesitated she assured me if anything went wrong or I found any problems they would take care of me. So I found a water leak first day and discovered the whole underbelly was wet and the insulation soaked. I called them and they literally said, what do you expect us to do about it. It wasn't until I started fixing it myself that I became overwhelmed and insisted they fix it. The owner himself tried to blame me because I was going to live in it and said I was making a big deal out of nothing. After intimidating me more he finally agreed to fix it. Had similar attitudes coming from the service manager. So moral of the story? All their talk about customer service seemed like a total lie. It hurts as a human being to be treated like that. I'm sure if it wasn't about money they would have been polite but instead it revealed the state of their hearts. One star because the salesman was kind. He was the reason I went through with the sale because I trusted him. But that was a risky bet on my part that almost cost me a thousand dollar repair on a new to me trailer. read more

The folks are good people , the supplies that they have is not extensive but you may be able to find what you are looking for. One of the issues that I have with them is that I made an appointment for a 5th Wheel installation a week in advance. when the day prior to me taking my truck to the service dept they informed me that they may not be able to get to my installation because the sales guys, sold a lot of trailers and the service dept had to the work on that stuff 1st. What the hell" If they want to keep customers, you can't do this, If you make an appointment , they are obligated to fulfilled their contract with you. I really don't care what the sales guys sold, I spending money also. So I bringing in my truck a day early so they can get to it. So based on this type of Customer relationship , it make me wonder if I will do any additional business with this place read more

We ordered a new 2018 Flagstaff Shamrock hybrid trailer from Apache. I worked with Bill via email and negotiated an acceptable price. Bill was very helpful and made it easy to get the trailer on order. Unfortunately that is where our positive experience ended. The trailer was delayed (not Apache's fault), but communication could have been better. When our trailer finally arrived, it was damaged a couple miles before arriving at the dealer (again not Apache's fault). I was told one long trim piece was damaged and a replacement was on order. We went to pick up the trailer a couple days later and there was more damage than originally communicated. Apache willingly said they would get all the damaged pieces replaced. One piece they tried to hide and clean up which just made it more obvious. Things started to get worse when the owner Kevin got involved. He started insulting me and said most customers would never notice all the issues I pointed out. Really? Why would anyone pay full price for a brand new trailer that wasn't in brand new shape? Kevin is the stereotypical used car salesman. I am so happy Bill was our salesman and not Kevin. I would have walked out before ever buying a trailer from him. We ended up taking our trailer home that day with a letter stating they would correct all the issues within a month. They told us it should be only a week or two before they would have the parts in. After getting the trailer home I noticed the grey and black holding tanks were over half full. I drained them. The grey tank had clean clear water in it probably from testing. It should have been emptied by Apache before we took the trailer home. The black tank however, was not clean clear water. It was murky grey colored water full of toilet paper. What! This was supposed to be a brand new trailer. This was Kevin's reply, "As to the toilet, I have never seen a transport driver use the trailer toilet nor would we ever do so." That's it. No apology or indication that Apache would look into what happened. This is not an acceptable way to treat a customer who just purchased a brand new trailer. As far as the parts, two weeks went by and not a word from Apache. I called the service department and they told me the parts should be in later that week. One more week went by and still no word from Apache. I emailed and was told the parts were not in. A month later and a day before we left for our first trip the parts finally came in. No one gave me any reason for the delay when I asked. No one gave me any explanation for the lack of communication. We waited until after our first camping trip the bring the trailer in for repairs. On the bright side they had it back to me in less than 24 hours. So five stars to Apache's service department for timely and quality service. They did a good job. read more

My wife and I began our search in Sacramento, CA for an extreme weather travel trailer with slides & extreme durability and feature rich, primarily for dry camping (boondocking). We found the RV we liked most in Sacramento with another dealer, but the sales manager there was an idiot and mocked us at the price we offered, and it was apparent that the service department was a part time outfit and had very SLOW turnaround on fixes. Since we were truly dedicated to learn everything we could about these RVs we wanted to take a tour to the factory in Oregon. My focus turned to factory tour, then off to a highly rated dealer. That dealer is Apache Camping Center, and my phone experience and purchase was nothing but impressive here at Apache in Happy Valley (South east Portland). My first call was snapped up on the first ring with Erik Anderson. I explained what model I wanted, and the features were consistent to how they order them in.....tough, extreme weather package. We came to terms with the price, and answered every question I posed. We agreed over the phone, and they were going to prep the trailer prior to my arrival. When I arrived, I was promptly introduced through a walk through. When it was done, so was my wiring, hitch, leveler bars etc. On my walk through, we discovered only a few things out of expectation, all of which were addressed to satisfaction by several technicians eager to get it done. My husband & I just bought a new "used" trailer from Apache & I cannot say enough about the service, the kindness & patience they had with us. This is our 6th trailer & our last, so, we wanted something that will get us through the next 10-15 years or so. We went to another camping center but the reviews on the trailer they were trying to sell us was horrible. So, we found a better quality trailer at Apache. The great service started with the salesman, Charlie, then the owner, Kevin, who gave us an awesome deal with added extra's. When we picked it up, the service dept had detailed it, paid special attention to some things that we asked to have worked on, then we received a thorough walk-through by Keith. We bought some items that my husband had planned on attaching to the trailer when we got home but the service guys got right to it without us even asking, at no extra cost to us. They also raised my husbands hitch to meet the height of the trailer without a problem. We brought it home, had some concerns & took it back the next business day, I called prior to let them know our concerns & that we were on our way, Jeremiah, the parts & service manager was right there expecting us, checked out the issue immediately, which wasn't much & the service tech,Tom, worked hard to fix it & we were on our way. Everyone has been so courteous & friendly & has definitely beat any other camping center we have dealt with in all area's from salesman, owner, finance manager & service & parts. Have to share our experience with working with Kevin Baker and his team to purchase a 2018 Blackstone 260rlws travel trailer. Like most folks, we wondered if and how our experience would turn out. In fact, it was an impressive experience. Kevin ordered our trailer from Outdoors RV Mfg, cleaned, tested and assisted us after it arrived, as we spent our time looking for issues.
