I recently acquired a new tow vehicle while I was in The Dalles, OR area. We got a road master tow bar and all the stuff put together. When we started towing, we realized shortly that the tow bar wasn't staying locked in the extended position. We were 3 hours away from Todd's shop in Portland and called him for help nearly towards the end of the day. He waited around for us patiently, replaced the tow bar at no cost, installed a couple of extra clamps to secure the tow bar better and also installed a lock on it so that no one can walk away with it. Very professional operation. Despite spending nearly 90 mins to get everything right, I literally had to persuade him to take money from me for the additional accessories he put in. They do quality work here guys. Go with them. read more

Great Experience... We have a 2012 Chevy Equinox we wanted to turn into a dinghy for our 97 Vogue V '38 Class 'A' Diesel Pusher. Months earlier we had purchased the Blue Ox Ascent tow bar, the Equinox front mounting plate, and the wiring harness... Then we learned that this was something we shouldn't install ourselves. That's when we learned that other vendors don't want to be bothered with pre-purchased gear. Uhaul, Curtis, and others just didn't want the task of installing our equipment. That's when we learned of Todd's. Tiffany and Todd are the best. They worked with us, created a relatively early appointment (no - "we'll pencil you in 10 weeks from now"), and they got the ball running. They also recommended that we install a Roadmaster 9100 air brake controller for our Equinox (we thought we could skip that), and they allowed us to camp in our RV all day long while they did the work (with our generator and AC running the whole time). Todd is a great guy who knows his stuff. Vlad (I hope I got that right) was assisting, and he was very knowledgeable as well. The whole process was painless, and I had high confidence driving off his lot that we were going to be very happy with the end result (we are!). Thanks Todd, Tiffany, and Vlad for everything. Todd and Vlad went WAY above and beyond when there was a small issue with the install of my tow system for my tow vehicle. Todd even CAME TO MY HOUSE to resolve the problem and when we decided the vehicle needed to go back to the shop he drove me back and forth to my house twice so I wasn't inconvenienced! Who does that these days?!? I can't think of a time that a business has gone this far to help a customer out. They also took an extraordinary amount of time out of their very busy day to explain how all of my new equipment worked and made sure I understood it all. Thank you SO much Todd and Vlad! We took our motorhome into Todd's in Oct to have some work done to improve our suspension system performance. Todd installed a Roadmaster anti-sway kit to the rear suspension system of our Fleetwood Southwind motorhome. The I improvement in stability and cornering control is remarkable! My husband is no longer fighting to control our coach when it is windy or a big rig blows past us. Driving the coach while towing our SUV is so much smoother and it is highly resistant to sway. Todd does great work and helped us choose the right solution to our suspension control needs. Todd fixed it with his assistance, took the time to look over other things, all with pleasant smiles, attitudes and repair abilities on both their part. They did it again! Great job guy's. Todd & Company set my class C and Jeep up for towing, stability, and steering control. Everything is doing great but rear factory springs could not handle the bedroom slide weight and over time we had a 31/2" lean sleeping with our heads going downhill. Todd knew what to do and we made an appointment to fix this and go to Koni shocks all the way around. Price was good, work right on schedule, lean is ever so slight, and gotta tell you it now drives like a car. I would highly recommend Todd's Auto and RV. They have done 2 jobs for me. The first was my 2020 chevy tow plate (Great attention to detail on the install). The second was suspension components on my 2020 FR3 Motorhome. Rear Trac bar and rear Sumo Springs. They go above and beyond with their customer service. We stopped to admire a truck that had a very clean install of its tow plate. That person told us that Todd is the best installer and we should look them up if we needed work done. We took our 2015 Lincoln MKZ in for a base plate / tow bar, and wiring installation and Todd / Vlad did a fantastic job! I was a bit leery after seeing the complicated installation instructions downloaded from Roadmaster, and the fact that it was a Lincoln, which I had never seen as a motorhome toad. I wasn't sure how much experience was to be found with this installation. I was thoroughly impressed with them from the moment I talked to them. Wonderful! We had our 2012 Fleetwood Bounder and our 2016 Jeep Patriot set up for flat towing. We are so happy with how easy it is to connect and disconnect. There are two things that I will say first about my experience at Todd's Auto and RV. The first thing is that I drove all the way down from the Seattle area to have my tow gear (Roadmaster) installed at Todd's because of his reputation. Secondly, my experience is one of the best I have ever had from start to finish. It began with Tiffany with my web inquiry about having the tow gear installed on my 2014 Honda CR-V and Winnebago Access Class C motorhome. I already had two quotes from installers in my area and the quote from Tiffany was very price competitive but most importantly gave me the greatest confidence in the equipment selection and installation. She also arranged for me to be able to stay at their shop on a Sunday (with power hook up). I met Todd on Sunday when we arrived and he was very welcoming and so pleasant to work with. In addition to the tow gear we also discussed adding front and rear sway bars for improved handling (turned out to be great decision, what an improvement !). Todd and his son Austin began work on Monday morning and watching them was a thing of beauty. The install was meticulous with attention to detail at every step. Todd did a great job explaining all of the installation steps and took time to answer every question I had. It was obvious that his 30 years of installing Roadmaster products and his passion for doing the job right resulted in an excellent install for me. Todd and Austin finished late in the day and we were on our way with the confidence that we had the best equipment and best installation possible. If you need tow gear or other suspension solutions for your RV, I recommend Todd's Auto and RV very, very highly. For me It was worth the drive and I would do it over again in a heartbeat.
