Towed me from a North Bellingham street intersection to my mechanic South of Mount Vernon and gave me a ride there as well. Actually made a stressful Friday traffic hour breakdown a nearly pleasant experience! So glad the other 3 i called couldn't make it. I would have missed a pleasant experience! This industry typically does not have the best reputation for being honest and fair. However, it was quite a refreshing experience working with Johnson's Towing. I was involved in a car accident in which my car was totaled. After the police notified Johnson's Towing, they showed up within 10 minutes. I was already stressed from the accident so the last thing I wanted was to deal with is a dishonest car towing company. My experience with the tow-car driver and the office staff has been positive and efficient. I was not charged an exorbitant amount either. read more

I got my truck stuck up in the mountains on an old logging road off of Mt. Baker Highway. The guy that came out and recovered my truck was a pro. My truck was close to rolling down the mountain. He came and took the time to not only get me back on the road but didn't but a single scratch on the truck anywhere. Anyone who has seen a hairy winch mountainside recovery knows that extra damage to the vehicle is sometimes part of the cost. Dan Phillips knew his truck and how to rig the two wenches he had on it. The tire on our truck fell off on a busy street on a cold, icy night. Johnson Towing arrived shortly after our call. The operator, Blake, was efficient, kind and professional! He took the truck to the place that had put on the snow tires and gave us a ride home!! These two 70+ year olds are very grateful!! I was in an accident and BPD called Johnson's Towing but didn't tell me. I already had a company on their way. When I informed the wrecker operator, he got upset. He and the other operator started telling me lies: I had to use Johnson's because BPD called them, I would be billed for the call, and that my insurance will cover the call. Then they said if I don't move my car off the street they would tow it for blocking traffic. So, I moved my car off the street. This really made the operators upset so the went to the police officer on scene. What's he gonna do? He did nothing since I was now on private property. So, the operators started yelling at me and flipped me off. I yelled back telling them not to talk to me and to go away. They eventually did. It's almost like they weren't even concerned about the accident and more concerned that they missed out on $$$. read more

I had a rather complicated situation, I damaged my boat trailer with my boat still on it. I originally called ASAP Towing, and they were NOT helpful at all. Next I called Johnson's towing, and they were they awesome. The dispatcher was friendly and polite. She had me text pictures of my 'situation' so that they could evaluate what to do. The driver (who turned out to be the owner) was there in a short amount of time and we were able to get the boat in the water and the trailer on the truck. The cost was also much less than expected. What was a really crappy situation was made significantly better by the professionalism of this company. Thanks! read more

Broke our door while towing our car, refuse to accept responsibility. Bad business. The owner claims to "be a man" but will not honor their mistakes. Stay away. Response to owner: As I said, the door worked, without any issues, until your company impounded the car. It never stuck before that, how would you even know? At least I am man enough to admit my mistakes and own them, we never got upset at our mistake that caused you to tow us. As to the delay, we had mentioned the night we got the car, I had the best intentions to call sooner, my very busy work schedule got in the way. (I work 100 hours a week or more) There was no slander, you may want to look the word up in a dictionary, you earned the single star review as much as we earned th 370$ bill for parking in the wrong spot. We never contested this, we were polite and civil even when we found the damage to our car. Your dismissal of the problem and condensing attitude were poor businessmanship. I am a locksmith of 13 years, I know the inner workings of a door, and can repair it with ease. This is not the point. You damaged our car while breaking in to impound and refused to accept any fault, you than try to tell me how it just stopped working and claim that we had problems that we never did. Prompt and courteous service. My tow was covered by my insurance's roadside assistance, so Geico set everything up for me and sent me a text that they would arrive in about an hour. Johnson's arrived 15 mins early, which I appreciated, and driver Jason had no problem backing up about 100 feet to get to my car which was parked in the alley behind my apartment. I gotta give them props: from what he told me, their drivers are 'on' 24 hours 5 days a week (and I thought driving for 12 hours straight was bad). Thanks for your help! read more

My car's clutch went out in the middle of Sunset and Hannegan, arguably one of the busier intersections in Bellingham. I used AAA to get a tow, and ended up waiting a total of two hours for my truck to arrive. However, two separate times, Johnson's tow trucks stopped in the middle of rush hour traffic behind me just to make sure I was okay. The first tow truck driver, who I had mistaken for my one sent by AAA, and even though he wasn't my tow truck, he was helpful and wanted to make sure I was okay. He told me to get a cop or something to sit behind me so people would quit honking and getting too close to my car. He made sure we were close to getting a tow and offered to tow us if we wanted one sooner. Less than a half hour later, another Johnson's tow truck stopped to make sure we were okay, too. This time, because he had driven by us two or three times and hadn't seen our designated tow truck. He let us know that he was contracted with AAA and called the company to get the tow switched so he could take my car to it's destination. My tow arrived (two and a half hours after I called) just as he was making this call. I know he was going to financially benefit from taking my tow, however I appreciate the concern about our safety which was his first question. I was consistently surprised by the kindness of strangers and the willingness of Johnson's Towing to help us right away. He had said they were very busy with the cold weather and slick road conditions, but having seen us twice had worried him that we were stranded. Though he didn't end up being our tow, I just wanted to write them a hell of a yelp review and ensure that next time I need a tow, I will 100% be using Johnson's Towing Inc. read more

They are the worst companies ever they also include Horton towing and damage vehicles in their care along with steel stuff out of the vehicles...... they have no real car knowledge They are very shady people don't trust them read more

This place is a soulless pit. Don't waste your time they charge an arm and a leg. The ladies at reception are rude and short tempered. Find any other towing company!! And if you are stuck dealing with them. Take them to court. read more

We called Johnson's towing to pick up our motorcycle and deliver it to the mechanic. They said they would be within the hour and the driver, Brandon, called us when he was ten minutes out....arrived within the hour. Brandon was wonderful in patiently explaining how he would hook up the bike, secure it, and haul it. He then took pictures as he was doing it for his and our protection. The bike was delivered safely, securely, and without a scratch. For the amount of time he spent with the bike loading and unloading and dealing with an anxious bike owner, I thought the 75 dollar price was more than fair! I would highly recommend Johnson's Towing. read more

Excellent service, we were stopped on I5 because of a completely shredded tire and no jack to change it so we thought we were going to need a tow (which already was way cheaper) but when the guy showed up he was super friendly and was able to just change our tire for much cheaper. He even asked us about our night and our plans and what he had been doing that night. Great experience (except for the shredded tire of course haha). read more

Receptionist is very rude. I was hung up on and when I went into the office I got the same treatment. Just simply asking a question is apparently not allowed. BE CAREFUL using these guys. Saw a car hooked up incorrectly entering their lot too. read more
