I always just get replacement tape ($14) once a month, and every other month or so I get some new tape in extensions (many to choose from ranging from about $70-$180). Last night was my first visit to this store after hearing about it on your's truly, Yelp. All of the 4 and 5 star ratings are 100% accurate - although in my book they were a 10-star! I've been hunting for my 3rd set of full-head clip-in extensions. Last week I tried ordering a new set online, but when they arrived from the UK they were horrible (color and quality) so I decided to go to Join Us after reading about their great selection on Yelp. It's true! Not only did they have a wide variety of colors in their clip-in extensions, but they also had other varieties of wigs, weaves, and other types of extensions. Besides finding a new set of extensions that matched my hair perfectly, the help and service from Jade and Lee was amazing! Jade clearly knew her stuff and offered me two options to get what I wanted. The quality of the hair was better than my first two sets that I paid $550+ for. I already knew the doll that I was looking at was not for sale my friends told me. But I was hoping to a doll head and extra hair to create something similar. He proceeded to tell me they don't sell what I'm looking for. When I mentioned that I had two people buy this item from here. He did not respond to that statement. Only repeated they don't sell what I'm looking for. He repeatedly cut me off to tell me the hair is so expensive to buy. How do you know what I could afford? or what I think is expensive. By the recommendation of a local salon, I've been coming to this spot for the past three years to purchase my tape-in human hair extensions. I've probably purchased hair five times from here. Two out of the five times the tapes do not last past a couple days after a fresh installation! The hair literally slides right out without any interruption, no wash, no harsh handling, no products, nothing. This is so awful to experience after spending hundreds of dollars on a fresh set of hair extensions and then another few hundred dollars at a salon for someone to install these extensions! It's money down the drain- they do not give refunds. Horrible. I will not be going back and will not recommend this place to anyone. Also, I contacted my hair stylist today, 2 days after they were put in to let her know they were falling out, and she said this has happened to 2 of her other clients recently that have purchased from Join Us as well! She gave me the option of purchasing pre-cut 14 in. hair extension pieces with clips for $89.99 or an uncut piece for $41.99. $41.99 for an uncut 14 in piece without clips and then $1.99 for each pack of 2 clips. She suggested 4-5 packs of clips so my total came out to $54.51 including tax. She went into thorough detail of how to cut and sew clips on yourself with patience and a smile! She's like the sweetest ajumni :) There's a little selection of make up, a display of hair accessories & earrings, and a Ruby Kisses nail polish stand. They also carry some hair products for dyeing & some shampoos such as Nexxus but this place really focuses on hair extensions & wigs. I noticed that the owners (couple) are proud to sell human hair because they felt soooo soft, that i didnt want to stop touching them haha, and also because its more durable. i rather invest than to buy some cheap ones. i have only stopped by to see what was going on because it was a grand opening.. so today i bought a red nail polish, nail glue, hair chopstick, something little and cute. but i am planning on buying hair extensions on my next visit.. whats also important is that the owner of the store is very welcoming and pleasant. as of today date JANUARY 17th, 2009 i used the red nail polish.. the brand ruby kisses was only a dollar fifty!! and it stays SO LONG!! i love it! definitely buying more other colors. read more
