I asked if they had any ev charging stations in the area. He told me he didn't have any idea but he would look if we had a minute. About 30 seconds later he said he found info that showed there were some behind a pizza place in town. Jesse said he had never seen them but it showed they were there. We asked about restaurants and he said the chargers were right behind his 2nd favorite place to eat (Five 11 Main Pizzeria and Soda Fountain). I asked what his first choice would be and he said Big Juds, right next door. We arrived earlier than we expected and a different gentleman named Scott greeted us and allowed us to check in early and was also as nice as he could be! We told him it was a rest day/down day and he said if you want a cool drive you may want to consider a drive to Mesa Falls. It was awesome and so were both restaurants that we were told about! Our hotel room was great! It was a large, clean room with a very comfortable bed and incredible shower/water pressure! It was perhaps the best pressure we have ever had at any hotel - it was that good!!! We will definitely be back to the hotel if we are in the area again!!! We stopped there before going to the Grand Tetons. Also, the price of the hotel was less than 1/4 of the cost of hotels inside the park!!! Scott and Jesse were amazing, the hotel was clean and neatly decorated, the price was great, and we couldn't have been happier! Go see them the next time you're in Ashton, ID.

Well don't get discouraged from the other post. Some are really old post and some are based on misguided information. Trust me, I live and rely on Yelp reviews so I was kinda hesitant to stay here but I gave it a try. How bad can it be!? But first let's address some of the reviews. Someone said they couldn't find it? I mean cmon there is a huge sign and entrance directing RV people to their RV spaces (and yes we arrived at night and found it). Took us about 2 seconds before we figured that one out. :) Now let's address some other stuff, customer service!? Well we had a great experience. It was as simple as calling in, reserving a spot and enjoying our travels. Now let's talk about the RV spaces itself. They were so many options to choose from, all provided with hookups , level spots and some great views. I really hate when people leave bad reviews on places that don't deserve it. We also enjoyed the nearby area that has a few restaurants and little boat docks on either side of the river where we sat and enjoyed the sun. If you end up trying to save money by staying in Idaho when visiting Yellowstone rather than…read morestaying in Wyoming, this is likely the main entrance you'll use to exit and re-enter the park during the days you visit. This community that the entrance is next to is also called West Yellowstone, and there's a lot of cute stuff there including a national park visitor center, gas stations, souvenirs and gift shops, and of course lots of restaurants and dessert shops. As for the entrance itself: if you come in during the most congested hours (usually 8-10am or so), despite the fact that there are usually 5-7 lanes open, the traffic will back up all the way down the road from the entrance to the main road of west Yellowstone. People do a decent job of spreading out to try to get in as quickly as possible, but you will have to wait at least a bit. It looks a lot worse than it is; I went in around 8:30 am or so and the number of cars was absolutely ABSURD, but the wait for me to eventually get to a ranger was only about 20-25 minutes. After you get through the entrance, there is a short length of two lanes, and then that becomes one lane. So long as there isn't an animal crossing, the lane does move just fine (at speed limit which is 35-45 mph). Overall - don't be too dismayed by the crazy line to get into the park at this entrance, it does move fast and the advantage of a nice visitor center and tons of food, gas and other resources like minutes from that entrance makes it a great spot to look for lodging or a break in between a visit to Yellowstone.

It's like the Earth became a steaming hothead haha -- Even worse was the drive out. Tue ~8pm it's a looong slow line exiting Yellowstone's west side. Think I spent 40-60min sitting in that line. . In the morning, why not have 2-3 paid entrance lanes, and 2-3 exit lanes in the evening? Wanna go through here on a holiday or weekend? I don't even wanna imagine.

We bare had 6' between us and our neighbors with very little space outside to enjoy. It was like having someone in your site all day. After 10 it did go pretty quiet, so kudos for enforcing quiet hours. Outside of that, because of the proximity to each other, it was a madhouse. That was probably mainly because neighbors had little respect for others. I also, noticed the electric service had reversed polarity at our site. I must say it was a full weekend. Every site was filled. I would come off season where your not subject to sardine stacking. The surrounding area is nice. I would recommend Aspen Grove across the road. Very nice!

Before leaving, we needed to have some electrical work done on our RV and simply asked if we could move to a site with power so the repair technician could complete the work. We even offered to pay for the additional hours or any extra fee required to use the site. Instead of trying to help or offering any reasonable solution, we were told to park at the Yellowstone Visitor Center, where there was no electrical hookup. We've stayed at RV parks all over the country, and even when policies are strict, most managers are willing to work with guests to find a reasonable solution. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. The lack of flexibility and customer service was disappointing, especially considering the price we paid. We will not be staying here again and will avoid any affiliated properties in the future.

I had not heard any complaints from our groups regarding use of any of the facilities. The dish/wash area was well kept and included a microwave. We were newbies to the RV scene but everyone one else in our group has had their fair share of that RV camping life. They remained patient when they realized we hadn't checked in while we had been physically present for at least an hour on the reserved site and our camper was on its way. Apparently we were happy campers and so were the rest of our group. Our organizer selected this spot due to the ease of fishing access for the kids, there was this little extended patch of land the kids were able to go to each day. They caught rainbow trout, the kids were proud and the ones who were too young but watching, well, it probably only ignited their interest even more. Our experience was good, everyone in our group of 30+ enjoyed ourselves and noted this is one of the better if not best sites they have had on their family camping trip.

The grounds were fine, but the incident…read morethat occurred at Juniper Campground in Ririe, Idaho, on the evening of Saturday, September 13, 2025 left a very bitter taste in our mouths about the trip. What was intended to be a joyful family outing turned into a distressing experience due to the conduct of the camp host. My father-in-law and his wife had made a reservation at Juniper Campground for the weekend and invited my family to join them--myself, my two sons, and our grandchildren. We were all excited to spend quality time together and to try out our newly purchased travel trailers. As first-time trailer owners, this was meant to be a fun and educational experience before the camping season ended. Unfortunately, I had previously purchased concert tickets for an event at Mountain America Center in Idaho Falls scheduled for Saturday evening. My sons and I decided to briefly leave the campground to attend the concert and return afterward. We left in the early evening and returned around 10:20 PM. Upon arrival, we found the second entry gate--through which we had originally entered--locked with a padlock. We then drove to the first gate, which had rising arms and red LED lights, but it did not respond. I exited the vehicle to search for an intercom or manual override, but found none. While attempting to look up a contact number, a white truck with an orange cone in the back approached rapidly. The driver, who identified himself as the camp host, immediately confronted me in an aggressive and profane manner. He shouted, "What the hell are you doing at my gate?" I calmly explained that we were campers returning from a concert and were trying to re-enter the campground. He responded with hostility, saying, "The gates are locked at 10 PM. Didn't you read the rules?" I replied that we had not received any rules, as my 78-year-old father-in-law had checked in first and inadvertently failed to pass them along while we were focused on setting up our trailers. The host continued to berate me, accusing me of lying and using profanity such as "Bullsh*t, everybody receives the rules." When asked for our campsite number, I was momentarily unsure, as my father-in-law had directed us to our spot upon arrival. While I searched for the information, the host continued to question our motives, saying, "Why are you leaving and returning to the campsite this time of night?" I explained our concert plans, only to be met with further disbelief and ridicule. He mocked my Van Halen t-shirt and claimed, "Nobody goes camping to leave for a concert," and "Those bands sucked. The last time I saw Van Halen was in 1979." At this point, I attempted to clarify our situation, but the host warned me that if I raised my voice, he would not allow us back into the campground. After locating a screenshot of our reservation details, I showed it to him. He finally allowed us entry and handed me a printed copy of the rules, stating, "Next time, read the rules." This interaction left me feeling humiliated, belittled, and treated as though I were a criminal. The camp host's behavior was not only unprofessional but bordered on harassment. I understand the importance of rules and quiet hours, but they should be enforced with courtesy and respect--not hostility and profanity. I am deeply disappointed by this experience and will not be returning to Juniper Campground. I'm leaving this review to ensure others are aware of the treatment we received. Guests deserve to feel safe and welcomed--not intimidated or verbally abused.
