We stayed for 4 nights as a group who held 4 spots. The place was well kept, the showers were decent enough that we all used them over the showers in our RVs. I had not heard any complaints from our groups regarding use of any of the facilities. The dish/wash area was well kept and included a microwave. We were newbies to the RV scene but everyone one else in our group has had their fair share of that RV camping life. They remained patient when they realized we hadn't checked in while we had been physically present for at least an hour on the reserved site and our camper was on its way. Apparently we were happy campers and so were the rest of our group. Our organizer selected this spot due to the ease of fishing access for the kids, there was this little extended patch of land the kids were able to go to each day. They caught rainbow trout, the kids were proud and the ones who were too young but watching, well, it probably only ignited their interest even more. Our experience was good, everyone in our group of 30+ enjoyed ourselves and noted this is one of the better if not best sites they have had on their family camping trip. read more

We enjoyed this clean, cute and cozy cabin on the lake. There's lots to do on the property- from cornhole to tetherball and more. My kids enjoyed a swim in the lake, although it was cold. The bugs were out some of the time but went away when the weather was rainy or windy. The general store here is fantastic! Great prices compared to the market in town and tailored to any need you may have. read more

We stayed 5 nights while visiting YNP. This is the perfect spot to kickback and relax after a full day of visiting the park. - The campground had a beautiful view of lake. And if you're into fishing, we saw some nice size trout being caught. An area for cleaning fish is also available. - Showers are clean and spacious. - RV sites are good size and are easy to get in and out. There are some pull thrus as well. - Laundry area has 2 washers & dryers. Now for the BEST part. The staff customer service. Cathy checked us in, and she was AWESOME. She provided recommendations and plotted on map where to go to see what. She was like having our personal tour guide. She nailed our 4 day itinerary and we followed her recommendations and were extremely pleased. Steve was also friendly and helpful. Highly recommend staying at Holiday RV campground while exploring YNP or just to hang out by the lake fish and relax. read more

Look out to Hebgen Lake ( kayak, paddle boarding, fishing boat and part boat rentals), wide spaces with grass and picnic table, close to Yellowstone National Park. If only I had scheduled an extra day during my Yellowstone excursion - I would have spent it here! Bf and I couldn't score a campsite at Yellowstone and we weren't about to pay $200 for a crappy chain motel in West Yellowstone so, we made our way to this campground. This campground is about 12 miles from the West Yellowstone entrance - it's RV or cabins only - no tent camping. This campground is newer and it's right next to a quiet lake. The RV sites are about $45 each, a cabin is about $70 a night, and a deluxe cabin with bathroom is about $120 a night. I think there's a two night minimum on the cabins. Bf and I got a cabin, which was right next to the main lobby where the showers and bathrooms are. The cabin came with a full size bed with air mattress, two bunk beds with air mattresses, and space heater. You will need your own sleeping bags, pillows, and towels. The bathroom and showers are a close walk from the cabins. They are three showers, which are very clean and private. No change needed - they're included in the price. There were so many lake activities here - bf and I REALLY wanted to spend an extra day. There's great fishing right from the front steps of your cabin. They also have kayak, canoe, and boat rentals at insanely good prices. $7 an hour for a kayak rental? Really? I had to rub my eyes. The area is breathtaking and the lake is pristine. The pricing here is a bit on the high end but, this is a pretty high end campground for the area. It's great to spend a few days and camp here. To crash here for one night only is a wasted opportunity. read more

What a nice place, and the hosts were the best part of it all. The views are amazing, even with all the California fires' smoke, clean, nice grassy areas, clean RV spots, clean bathrooms, great water pressure, great cell reception, clean store, right on the lake, easy access to Yellowstone National Park, easy access to a great number of fishing creeks and rivers, great fishing on the lake. We try not to go back to the same place, we try to go visit other states and parks, but we are planning on going back to this one next year. Definitely worth the 14 hour drive to spend a few days in Montana. read more

Nice location on the lake though we were placed near the highway so could hear traffic. The amenities were limited due to Covid though the park was consistently full. The down side of the location, far removed from the park entrance however there was a great little bar with a small patio and music playing located a few mile from the RV park. Booked 3 nights in a cabin. Stayed one night but the fragrance was too disturbing. If you have fragrance issues - don't stay here. Bathrooms, laundry, cabin, all very strong fragrance. I checked out 2 days early, kindly asked for a refund of 1 night and the manager would not budge. Even though the cabins were empty for the most part. a rustic cabin on a lake in MT does not need "Febreze" -- the air is fresh enough in that environment, no? read more

My family and a big group of 15 total family members stayed at this campground in June. The staff was very friendly and incredibly helpful. The campground was very well kept and quite. The Lake views were gorgeous and perfectly situated outside of West Yellowstone. It was right next to the road but you really couldn't tell. The road wasn't busy at all. If you stay here make sure you check out Earthquake Lake and Ghost Village. Very cool! read more

Very clean and upgraded rv park. The store/office/bathroom building seems very new and clean. The staff was very friendly and were starting to set up for the warm session. While we were there it was really chilly but we still enjoyed walking our dogs around the park and through the large fields. I imagine in the summer this place is a blast as it's right on the lake and it looks like they set up many fishing docks. They have paddle boards and kayaks and boats and probably more that wasn't out yet. ATT service worked ok here which is helpful since I have to work while we travel and the park WiFi was slow. We also drove into West Yellowstone a few times to eat. It's about a 30 min drive. Especially if there are large critters along the road. Great place overall! read more

6 miles away from Yellowstone National Park, but just as relaxing. Slept in the 4 person cabin right off the lake, hello sunrise! Even though the cabins don't have bathrooms, the public bathrooms are very neat, lighted, spacious, and feels very warm even with the woody decour. They have 3 public shower stalls, with no timers, no coins necessary just common courtesy. The lake is peaceful for swimming, fishing, and boating! The lot welcomes RV's and the campground is over all huge. If you stay in the cabin, you have to bring pillows, blankets, and your own towels. Also, we got there after hours (driving through YNP can take hours due to road construction and buffalo crossing) and our cabin key was left by the office with full instructions.. how trusting is that! read more

This has been one of the nicest campgrounds and friendliest staff!! The price is reasonable, everything was very clean, and the staff were so helpful!! Showers/restrooms - very clean all times throughout the day. There were only 3 showers and campground was full while we were there, but we never had to wait. Washers/dryers - there were 4 sets and open 24 hrs. The laundry rooms were very clean as well. You are right on the lake, and they have kayaks, canoes, and boats for rent. We did not utilize these due to exploring during the day. They had a volleyball net and tetherball by lake, which my kids loved! Very pet friendly place - everyone cleaned up after their pets too! My favorite part of this park was the friendly staff! Tom was amazing and told us lots of different tips and ideas of what to do and see. We listened to his recommendations, and he was spot on!! Just ask the front desk when you arrive. I can't rave about this park enough!!! read more

We didn't have a bad experience here but wouldn't stay here again. Pros * Close to Yellowstone (but closest to the busiest entrance) * modern showers and laundry * stunning view of the mountains and lake * great hookups * large, staggered RV spots which allows you to sit outside without having to see other groups usually Cons * only 4 sets of washers and dryers and two sets required paying the front desk which closed at 7:30. Since most people explore during the day this meant everyone shared only two washers and dryers. * only 3 coed showers for the entire campground. We came early in the season when several RV spots and cabins were vacant and still had to wait in line for showers every single time. * if you're traveling in a group that would like spots together the rvs spots on the east side, which is the majority, are too far apart and staggered to line up your RVs and share your space * No trees and shade. We enjoyed that this campground was modern and nice but we spent a lot of our time at the campground waiting for laundry and showers after a full day in Yellowstone. Personally I'd rather stay somewhere else with more accommodations even if they are less fancy. read more

Made a reservation then had to cancel it 3 DAYS later, charged a $25.00 cancellation fee , then refused to waive it when we called. I can understand a large cancellation fee when it is a late cancellation but 3 DAYS after making the reservation? If you need the money that bad, then you need it more than we do. read more

We decided to vacation in Yellowstone National Park. My husband researched online to find an RV park to stay in while we visited the park daily. Unfortunately, he reserved five days at a place called "Yellowstone Holiday RV Campground," sight unseen. When my husband called the park to reserve a spot, the park employee said the campground was only a few minutes from the Yellowstone Park entrance. It is actually 15 miles from Yellowstone. If you don't mind driving an extra 30 miles a day just to get to and from the park each day, then this would be okay, but it wasn't okay with us. There are no trees, and no shade. The restrooms and showers were clean, and they have WIFI, but it is spotty and poor reception where we were parked. We reserved a spot for five days and paid for half of it up front. I was extremely disappointed in the campground when we first arrived. However, we got there after the office closed, so we were unable to talk with staff until the next morning. The RV park is right next to a state highway. Our camp spot was only 50 feet from the highway, which is traveled by large trucks at all hours of the night. Across the highway is a residential neighborhood. Our first night there, someone in that neighborhood decided to have a party all night. We woke up at 2:00am to blaring, booming music. When we called the office to complain, we got voicemail. Spent the rest of the night wide awake. We decided to stay one more night rather than the 5 nights we originally reserved in order to find another campground either closer to the park or inside the park. When I went to ask for a refund, I was confronted by a very rude, confrontational manager who told me we could leave early if we wanted, but there would be no refund for early departure. He further stated that if we didn't like it, we could sue the park and the owner. I replied that I would do more than that--I would tell about my bad experience on the internet and the various social media websites, as well. That obviously hit a sore spot, because the employee blew a gasket. It bothered him a great deal that I was going to complain "online." He accused me of extortion. When I tried to reason with him, he spoke over top of me and he got louder and louder until he was literally yelling at me. I knew then that there was no reasoning with this angry man, so I turned and walked out. As I walked away, he screamed at me to "get out of this park right now. You're not staying here another minute!" His face was bright red and he looked like he was about to have a seizure. There were other customers in the store - everyone's mouth was agape. My husband happened to walk in while this was all taking place, and the employee yelled again, "Are you with her? Get out of here, both of you! Get her out of here!" My husband told the man that he was not hard of hearing, and that his hearing was perfectly fine without being shouted at. Eventually, my husband being the peacemaker he is, was able to calm the man down. However, the manager then insisted that I owed HIM an apology! I was flabbergasted! I asked for a refund and was screamed at because I refused to be bullied by this abusive man, and he had the gall to tell my husband I owed him and apology! The man obviously has a god complex, and feels that it is a mortal sin to challenge his authority, which proves my point - there was no reasoning with this self-inflated, egotistical man. I later found out he told my husband that he was "former law enforcement," like what does that have to do with the price of tea in China! My guess is that it was a veiled threat; he was trying to intimidate us into not saying anything - to throw a scare into us because he used to be with law enforcement and could still pull some strings. He is obviously used to being in a position of authority, used to calling the shots and ordering people around as a law officer, but he's retired now, and he should understand that one doesn't treat people that way in the real world in a business if one expects to build a good reputation with customers. That was the worst experience I have ever had with a place of business. I have never been screamed at in my life by anyone who claims to be a professional. You don't build a business by treating paying customers like dirt under your feet. I will never go back there. If one of my employees ever treated one of my customers like that, I would fire him on the spot. This experience really ruined our day, and it put a damper on the whole rest of our trip. We just stayed here for 5 days in a 38ft fifthwheel. Awesome view and located near West Yellowstone Entrance. Had an awesome time fishing and canoeing. Everything was great until our check out day. The staff drove around on golf carts around our campsite 5 times starting at 9am, at 11am we were wrapping up and he literally sat across our site and watched us. We stopped to pick up our laundry that someone had to have shut off because it was still wet and it was on when I started it originally, so I had to restart it. We then decided to take a shower since we were waiting for our clothes and we didn't have time earlier since we were being watched like a hawk and felt we needed to leave our site ASAP. We had parked off the road in an empty parking lot with no signs so we assumed it was ok. We were then approached by a staff member explaining it was boat parking only. My husband was in the shower with my kids and my clothes were still wet so I asked where else we could park to wait. Debra told me " No where, you need to leave the park". I told her I still had 25 minutes for my clothes, she said I could not park there that long. There were no boats coming in and plenty of space if one did need to park. It was almost as we were no longer customers as soon as we checked out! Debra then came back and accused me of not paying for my laundry, I had to explain who I paid, the man with white hair and that I paid with a $20 bill and the amount was $7, she then remembered but that was incredibly rude! That completely ruined the experience I had at this campground. Debra was also very rude the few times we called to ask a few questions about our site considering we were coming from California with 7 trailers and had a few questions. She seemed very short and annoyed by the fact that we had even called! I would have left a 5 star review but Debra ruined the experience for us. Be forewarned, if you camp here dont be a minute late passed 11am! read more

Clearly just trying to get more money for a shit spot that they want to try and claim is waterfront. Not at all worth the money or the long drive to Yellowstone . All we did was show up--as non campers--and rent a canoe: $7 for an hour! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and the equipment was perfect. We couldn't find a better price anywhere, and canoing on such a beautiful lake with gorgeous mountains around was priceless anyway. (We also went to the Happy Hour Bar down the road afterwards for dinner. For a dive bar with food, it's sweet.) read more

We needed a place that could fit my uncle's RV and rooms for me and my cousin's families. This place did that right on a beautiful lake. Just a few minutes to West Yellowstone and the park. The cabin is spartan (you need to bring your own linens, dishes, soap, etc) but clean and what you want if you're staying in a cabin by a lake. There are plenty of fire pits (each waterside RV site has its own pit). We took a boat out to fish and cruise around for a morning. The boat and motor were in good shape with life jackets and cushions provided, for less than $40. Would definitely consider this place again even if the RV wasn't part of the equation. read more

A must stay at campground! Excellent views of the mountains & lake. Couldn't open awning as the lake was very windy every 6 of 7 nights we stayed there,not a problem for us. Didn't like the idea that the office &store closes every day at 5pm! So if you need wood, ice or anything make sure you get it at West Yellowstone when you come out of the park! If you had any questions no one was there, most offices close7-9pm that have a store in them! If you arrive late like 5:15 like we did we saw the employees getting on a golf cart they told me our reservations info for was up on the Board next to the door. Then they tell me to check in in the morning@ 8am which we had already paid for everything up front!wanted to leave early to get into the park, Oh well! They do give you a code to get into the very clean bathhouse or laundry room if needed! Wifi worked fairly well most of the time when we needed it!We camped in premium lake site. Other posts have complained about road noise,I felt the traffic is so infrequent it didn't bother us over the pluses of the views of the mountains & lake! We stayed 6 nights in 5th wheel. 15 minute drive from campground to West entrance to the park. I highly recommend this park if you don't enjoy being crammed together in West Yellowstone campgrounds! read more
