The staff at the CVS pharmacy, 1269 E. 2100 S, are overworked and stressed out. It's painful to see and hear! The wait can be long, too, if there's a difficult transaction in front of you. I suggest to go to another pharmacy. I did, and my new one is much better. read more

The pharmacy tech I dealt with was condescending and incompetent. I went in for a Covid shot. I gave her all three of my insurance cards. She took my prescription card and first told me incorrectly that it was only valid for next year and that I needed to call CVS Caremark. I called them and was assured that my card was valid. While I was still on the line trying to work out what I was told was a problem, the tech asked for my Medicare card and then informed me that this card actually covered a Covid shot - after I had been on the phone with CVS Caremark for quite sometime. I was then welcomed into the shot booth by the pharmacist. The shot booth provides about as much privacy as a football game. To his credit the pharmacist did a good job of administering the injection. This was the only star the CVS Pharmacy deserves. The tech needs to learn her business. I was accused of having an attitude when I made a simple statement of fact. I did not have an "attitude" then, but I do now. If you need a Covid shot I would recommend that you avoid this pharmacy at all costs. read more

I came in on 11/16/23 for a covid shot and a flu shot. The woman who waited on me and gave me my immunizations was excellent... very friendly and professional. I wish I knew her name so I could personalize this review. I could not ask for better service. When I was done at the pharmacy I decided to do a little shopping. I brought my items to the checkout and there was nobody in sight. I looked around and waited for about three minutes and nobody showed up to help me. I returned the items to the shelves and on my way out the door I noticed there was still nobody at the checkout stand. I will NEVER shop here again because the service was terrible... pretty much non-existent! I would get future immunizations here though because I was very pleased with the professionalism at the Pharmacy. read more

I have never had such an AWFUL experience at a pharmacy. The pharmacist is an absolute jerk and apparently thinks it's funny. Drove to this store while being on hold for over 30 minutes, showed up in person to see people just wandering around behind the counter. Asked the pharmacist where to find a saline solution, instead of just telling me they didn't have it and telling me where I might be able to find it, he told me to "just google it on my phone" then laughed. As I walked away he was yelling at me "I don't know why you're so mad, god." The CVS management has put all workers in the spotlight of unfair customer complaints for over a year. They have each person over-pressured because of the amount of prescriptions needed to be filled. The management miss leads customers with promised times and support to fill , possible live treating medication and making conflicts with well intent employees by keeping store under staffed for what seems to be for profits. read more

When they first opened up, they were great. Customer service was fantastic. You were able to get in and out through the drive-through when picking up your prescriptions however, the last couple of years they have gone downhill it seems like they're always experiencing staff shortages, their drive-through window is only operable half the time and to make matters worse when you try to contact the pharmacy. They now have a recording where you leave your name and phone number and they will get back to you. Well that is fine and dandy if they get back to you, they never do Because of all these problems I've experienced I have transferred our prescriptions to Walgreens. It seems like CVS does not care anymore about customers. read more

For the most part they are okay. They need to train their employees at the front cash register, however, that at night it is not okay to sit and play on their phones. The girl with the long black hair couldn't be bothered to welcome customers, or look up from her phone when they approached the register. The general attitude is: don't bother me, I'm busy on Twitter, and just use the self check for g. sake! During the pandemic, the young guy at the front wouldn't wear a mask. I did remind him and he said oh woops. Yeah, way to kill someone, idiot. The 30ish white guy is very helpful and friendly. I've never had a problem with the pharmacy but I'm sad to read all the bad reviews. My only problem is with the front night time employees. Is it so much to engage with a customer? read more

When I went in they were slammed with people picking up their prescriptions, the phone was ringing, and I had another Rx to add to the pile, but they were powering through with smiles on their faces! Called in the morning to put in a prescription refill and didn't hear back all day. Called in again and they said to come into the store. Got there at 2pm, waited an hour as they said they were checking something. Then they notified me that they were missing 60 pills, and had no more left. It was for generic Concerta. How can they have lost 60 pills? They said to call my doctor and have her transfer it to another store. Tried calling my doctor but by then it was past 4pm and they were closed. I called the next day and the pharmacy hung up on me. Finally got someone, asked them not to hang up on me and that I just wanted to know when they'd receive more. They said they had no idea, that it's on order, probably. Bottom line: Don't go to this pharmacy. They 'randomly' lose 60 pills at a time. Maybe I'd be better off waiting out back and paying the special price. read more

Hate to say this but one of their employees said I had a fake 100 hundred dollar bill!! I was shocked because I specifically cash my checks at First Utah Bank. Been going there all year. He says he could tell right off the bat, which embarrassed me and I presented him with a different 100 hundred dollar bill instead. So then I went back to the bank and they said it was real! I am so confused. Please train your employees better. It wasn't fake and I was totally embarrassed by a know it all 18 year old. read more

I love that Yelp is encouraging me to be 'understanding' during COVID. I'm updating my review because CVS is refusing to give me a flu shot, even though I have conditions that place me in a high risk group... and I'm around two people who are in their 70s & 80s respectively on a daily basis. In what is already a stressful time, the fact that they're essentially telling me to go you-know-what myself is absolutely appalling. I would be the first to forgo something I didn't need if it would help someone else, but in this case, it isn't a want. It's not a fun shot that I want because I'm a germaphobe. I actually need the damn shot. This place usually isn't crowded. Ugh. Why are you guys seriously the worst? It's hard to believe this & the CVS I go to in LA are the same corporations. Don't give these people your business--they literally don't care if they help kill you. read more

My wife two children and I have spent unknown amounts of dollars with CVS. over the years. The pharmacist Schwed! I did not get his last name would not fill my prescription because it was a controlled substance and he did not want extra ones on the shelves. I am quite sure this was a very bogus statement in that every other CVS has ordered them 30 days at a time. We will be contacting their headquarters as well as an attorney for race and age discrimination. I do not want to knock CVS. They have always been great in the past. However I would highly recommend that no one support The CVS on 13 S. & 11th east in Salt Lake City Utah. When I called back he was quite condescending. I am an older gentleman with a graying ponytail. I e had the same prescriptions from the same doctor for over a year. I've tried to fill them here a few times because they are open 24/7, but it's always a waste of my time. Apparently their system won't allow them to fill my medications because it shows contra indications. WorSt pharmacy ever. They can see on my DOPL that it's not an error. I think my doctor knows more than their "system" and pharmacist about what medications I should be on. I've suffered through the night unable to fill my scripts 3 times now because this place pulls this stunt . No other pharmacy gives me an issue . Avoid this pharmacy and go to the Walgreens down the street . It's open until midnight . read more

Waited almost 10 minutes in the pharmacy drive thru (I was the first car) and the prescription that I had called about and they said would be ready 2 days ago still wasn't ready. They said 15 min so I said I would come back. 3 hours later I came back to pick it up and they told me 15 minutes again. I don't know why it's me ...but i've had the best experience of any pharmacy i've ever been..I generally know when they might be busy and try to avoid those times ... Two regular pharmacists (rude maybe i don't know their names) Male and female ..have gone way beyond , like come out in the aisles and explained over the counter meds in detail .. the saving part is the girl that works the counter (who knows how to navigate the unbelievable complicated pharmaceutical computer screen) she can make or break on price... If she's not there i get it or i come back when she's there and instead of 6 stars i am only giving 5 as having to come back is a hassle but to see her smiling face and making that screen ring... ching ching read more

This will be as short and sweet I can make it. Find another pharmacy. I have never, in my 53 years on earth, encountered such a consistently bad link in the chain of healthcare for myself and family. Too many examples to list - but wrong Rxs, messages to come pick up an Rx that proved not actually ready and being told to wait, creating firedrills at my MDs office over their own mistakes, misinterpreting regulations and blocking care, second guessing clinicians orders, excessive wait times, calls made to deal with issues and left on hold for ages, even "accidentally" hung up on, consistently snarky employees with bad attitudes...you name it, this pharmacy can deliver it. What they can seem to do is train their employees and get their act together well enough to be relied upon to fill a prescription. In my family's situation, we have Rxs that are critical to the safety of a child - she simply cannot afford to have them screw things up as they seem to do almost a third of the time. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. This pharmacy is incompetent and best, and frankly very dangerous at worst. read more

I had to finish a photo project by morning and made it in around 330 in the morning. I was having a hard time with the technology and the man working was so helpful! I couldn't have finished without his help. He was professional, knowledgeable, and personable but respectful of privacy and time. I was impressed how he kept everything running smooth (inventory, other early birds) while helping me. A woman who was h as of asleep and full of confusion and bad jokes. High five. read more
