We didn't find the chili cheese fries very appealing. They consist of crinkle-cut fries which are just topped with cheddar cheese and chili. Although the crinkle-cut was a novel feature, the chili itself was rather ordinary, neither distinct nor memorable. Considering the portion sizes and the amount of the check, the value we got wasn't really there. The burger has good flavor, but if you're eating because you're hungry and expecting a large meal, you should consider the size and price.

The restaurant itself was quite packed, get there early to secure a seat or (see if you can) call ahead of time. The price for the burrito was more expensive than typical places which is why I'd rate it 4/5 stars, otherwise 5 star food!

We also got the cheesy bread, which was so damn good! Unfortunately, I was hungry so my food was in my belly before I snapped pictures. There were two downsides. One, was their refresher drinks. The lemonade and blood orange were empty. Either they didn't fill it up or it was all gone prior to our arrival since it was busy. So we didn't order drinks. Second downside (which is a big one for me) is one associate didn't change her gloves after handling mozzarella. That normally wouldn't bother me but there were still thick pieces of cheese stuck to the gloves while she continued touching other ingredients. I'm not a fan of cross-contamination, so that was concerning. Luckily, Chris stepped in and took care of us after that, and he was great. Chris finished our order and was super nice. Overall, I would return.

I had a great experience at the Jollibee in Cerritos! The chicken was absolutely amazing--hot, crispy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. On top of the great food, the staff provided outstanding customer service and made everyone feel welcome. What really stood out to me, though, had nothing to do with the food. While I was eating, a homeless gentleman came into the restaurant. Instead of judging him or asking him to leave, the staff treated him with kindness, respect, and compassion. They helped him without making him feel uncomfortable. I was actually about to buy him a meal myself, but I saw the employees already taking care of him. That moment spoke volumes about the leadership at this location. It says a lot about the manager and the culture they've created. I can't speak for every Jollibee, but this Cerritos location deserves recognition. Thank you for serving not only great food, but also your community with kindness and dignity. You have my respect, and I'll definitely be back. read more

Ok, this was my first time trying Jollibee. I had heard a lot of good things about it from my friend who is from the deep south. (Mississippi) He is our office expert on southern soul food, more specifically good friend chicken. As anyone who's ever lived in the deep south knows, fried chicken is a staple of the south. It is like rice for Phillipinos. In fact, on every corner there is a fried chicken place and a church. There's even a Church's Chicken. lol In any case, the chicken here is absolutely on par with southern fried chicken standards. Crispy on the outside, and juicy meat on the inside. We had a choice of regular and spicy, so I choose the spicy one. The mashed potatoes are also delicious. However, after a day in the fridge, they don't taste so good anymore. The service was kind of slow, though, even though there weren't that many customers. It took quite sometime for us to get our order and we really just had a bucket with 4 sides. read more

I recently visited Jollibee, a Filipino Fried Chicken (FFC) restaurant, and I really enjoyed it! The inside of the restaurant was really nice. It had a modern look and an open kitchen, so you could see the food being made. Everything was clean and neat. I ordered their Spicy Fried Chicken, which came with a side of gravy. The chicken was super crispy, and the oil made the paper it came on see-through. It wasn't spicy, but greasy and so tasty! The gravy was a strange addition, but it was an interesting combination. I also tried their Spaghetti. It was really different from other kinds of spaghetti I've had. The sauce reminded me of Ragu, but it had a sweet flavor like ketchup. It was a unique experience eating takeout spaghetti and fried chicken. Like who does that?! But it was actually a fun adventure in my mouth. It's not like it was the best spaghetti or fried chicken--but the Filipino fast food cuisine was definitely fun to experience and eating it with someone who grew up with traditional Filipino food, including the sweet spaghetti, added an extra pizazz to the dining adventure. The mango habenero was also bland, no sweetness from the mango and very low heat from the habenero. The overall crispness of the wings was the only saving grace. I'm probably going to be judged for saying this, but buffalo wild wings has superior flavored wings in parmesan garlic and mango habenero. Their fried wedges are also superior in crispness and flavor. Mainly sucky thing about BBW is the price per wings, which is just crazy even in this economy.

As part of Flame Broiler's 30th anniversary celebration, rewards members were gifted a free regular…read morebowl during the first half of September if they spent at least $30 (taxes included) the previous month, during which three weekly deals were offered to rewards members. After partaking in each week's deals, I was able to score this free regular bowl, which was actually loaded onto my account after the third week, giving me an extra week to redeem my free bowl. I had known about this location for a while since I pass by the area from time to time. However, since it wasn't the closest location to me, I hadn't bothered to go. That is, until I was doing some shopping in the area and needed to get lunch. This Flame Broiler is in Cerritos on the northeast corner of Pioneer and Del Amo. It's in the same plaza as 7 Leaves, Caesar's Mongolian, Dollar Tree, and Crunch Fitness. Flame Broiler is on the east end of the lot, closest to the gym, perhaps strategically placed there so that gym-goers can simply walk over for some healthy eats after a tough workout. First and foremost, don't assume that this Flame Broiler is similar to its neighboring locations. That's because at this location, you're supposed to head to the right to start building your bowl, and then you pay for your order, kind of like Subway, Chipotle, Pieology, etc. At the Lakewood and Long Beach locations, you simply walk up to the counter to place your order, and that's pretty much what I did at this location since there wasn't anybody in line when I went after 2 PM on a Saturday. I strategically waited until 2 PM because that's when Flame Broiler's Happy Hour usually starts, at least on weekdays. However, the Happy Hour deals are different from location to location. I was hoping this location would have a Happy Hour deal that could get me a free drink with my free bowl, but no such deal can be found at this location. Instead, the Happy Hour deal here is a mini chicken/tofu veggie bowl and a regular fountain drink for only $7.99 + tax. And actually, the deal works all day Saturday and Sunday, so I wouldn't have needed to wait anyways for their Happy Hour deal, which unfortunately wouldn't be compatible with my free bowl reward. I went up to the cashier to let her know my intent to get the free bowl, and she rang me up similar to how I'd get rung up at the neighboring locations. White or brown rice? Vegetables and green onions? The free bowl could have been any protein, and I chose the Steak Bulgogi. It took her a minute to build my bowl, insert it into a plastic bag, and hand me my bag. Except for a few things. I didn't get any sauces, utensils, or napkins! I made sure to ask for them after I asked for a water cup, and she directed me to a nearby counter that has sauce pumps, small cups for the sauces, napkins, and forks. Even more of a deviation from the norm because I'm used to getting pre-filled cups of sauce to go with my order, but here, I had to get the sauces myself. Plus a fork and napkins, which could have been touched by other customers, certainly a hindrance to germaphobes as I'll allude to in the following paragraph. When I went up to get sauces, I noticed the cups on one side of the counter had drops of sauce on them, indicative of the lack of care from the employees here. None of them, not even the cashier who built my bowl, bothered to walk over there to inspect it for cleanliness. While I appreciate how we could have gotten as much sauce as we wanted for our orders, the carelessness of others keeping that counter clean was quite a turnoff. Like I had to grab a clean cup from one side of the counter before going to the other side to get a sauce I wanted. Plus, those cups are pretty small, so you may need to make a second trip to get more sauce(s) for your bowl. The bowl I had was on par with what they should taste like. In fact, I might even say the steak bulgogi was of better quality than when I tried it at the Long Beach location! However, I felt the cashier could have added a little more of the protein, vegetables, or the brown rice before placing a lid on top of my bowl. Minor complaint, though. I had parked my car at a spot right in front of next door Caribbean Juice & Mexican Food; that spot was a 30-minute only spot, but I only needed about 20 to eat my lunch. At the register, they have punch cards, which the cashier told me was more for customers who don't have the app. I was also wondering if my free bowl would count as a stamp, but she said it did not. The punch card is only good at this location, and you can only get a stamp when you pay full price for a regular bowl or plate. After 5 stamps, you get a free 20 oz drink; after 10 stamps, you get a free chicken bowl. Overall, not a bad location to go to, but that drink dispenser was kind of haunted! While I was eating, it randomly spit out ice when nobody was there. Celebrating Halloween a little early I see lol

It's usually pretty busy, but the staff works quickly so the wait never feels too bad. I also like that the nutritional information is displayed directly on the menu, which is helpful. Even though the name has changed, the fries still taste the same to me. Definitely a reliable spot when I'm craving seasoned fries.
