Staff was super friendly, there was no line, and they were cool about adding a little extra sauce and cheese when we asked nicely. We got two pizzas and both came out great. Also tried the cookie -- it was a little burnt, but honestly still tasted pretty good. Overall, a really solid visit. Oops! Saved review that I forgot to post. I'm simple and wanted pizza for Valentine's Day. Ironically, others wanted the same because it was super crowded. We were in line longer than I wanted to be. We did the build-your-own pizza. My boyfriend got the vegan version and I loaded mine up with meat and veggies. We also got the cheesy bread, which was so damn good! Unfortunately, I was hungry so my food was in my belly before I snapped pictures. There were two downsides. One, was their refresher drinks. The lemonade and blood orange were empty. Either they didn't fill it up or it was all gone prior to our arrival since it was busy. So we didn't order drinks. Second downside (which is a big one for me) is one associate didn't change her gloves after handling mozzarella. That normally wouldn't bother me but there were still thick pieces of cheese stuck to the gloves while she continued touching other ingredients. I'm not a fan of cross-contamination, so that was concerning. Luckily, Chris stepped in and took care of us after that, and he was great. Chris finished our order and was super nice. I'd really appreciate more transparency in your process--similar to how Domino's keeps customers updated on each step of their order. It would also make a big difference if pizzas were kept in a thermal bag or some kind of warming area before pickup. When I picked up my order, it was already cold--even though I didn't arrive late. I ended up having to reheat it in the microwave, which completely defeats the purpose of paying $20 for a fresh pizza. At that point, I honestly felt like I could have just bought a cauliflower pizza from Sprouts Farmers Market for half the price and heated it myself. The experience was really disappointing. The pizza looked great on the app, but what I received was cold and lacked flavor. Because of this, I don't see myself returning to Blaze Pizza after this experience. read more

Parking is a bit of a hassle but other than that this spot is great! Food is always fresh and made to order. Put whatever you want on your custom pizza and keep whatever you don't want off. Stuff is always great, works with smiles and quick and clean about the food. You can get a good meal that'll keep you full and maybe even bring some home for under $20. read more

We've been here 2 times. It's my husband's pick for pizza, probably because everyone gets their own and he doesn't have to share. He likes the spicy pepperoni. I like pepperoni and garlic and our daughter is basic pepperoni. The food comes out within minutes it tastes really good right out of the oven. This will probably be our go to pizza place. The wait staff was friendly and patiently waited as we created our masterpieces. We sat down and the pizzas arrived piping hot. Everything was delicious but it was very unpleasant and hard to truly enjoy the experience in freezing cold dining room. In fact, it was warmer outside. We asked the staff to make the dining room warmer and they politely responded that they cannot control the temperature. Unfortunate. Blaze always hits the spot, no matter the location so far. Consistent, quick, tasty and so many choices. My all time favorite forever has been pepperoni, but as you know if you have been reading recent reviews, I am trying to enjoy still, but make healthier choice's and lower sodium options. Thus my new go to for pizza is regular thin crust, red sauce, fresh mozzarella (not shredded) and lots and lots of basil. So good, and much better for me overall. I've never had Blaze pizza before, but I was visiting a friend who lived about 30 minutes away. I normally order Papa John's, but when I Yelped Pizza places near him, no Papa John's popped up, but I saw this Blaze Pizza with good reviews. So, I ordered a pie and... I LOVED THE PIZZA! It was crispy and delicious. WAYYY better than the Papa Johns by my house. Sadly, I think this location is one of the better ones because I came home and Yelped the Blaze pizzas around me and the star rating was below my threshold (I read all types of recent issues in the comment section.) So BRAVO to the team at this location. I even made two phone calls to this location. One to ask a question before ordering and the girl was very helpful and didn't seem rushed to get me off the phone. To be honest, her info and help (plus the Yelp reviews) were 100% why I ordered pizza from this establishment. I ordered online and then the second phone call came the day I was to pick up the pizza. I wanted to change the order (I wanted half & half, I didn't see how to do that when ordering). The highlight of my visit today at Blaze Pizza had to be the employee Cita and of course my pizza :) Cita was the best, I really appreciated her recommendations on my pizza. Her beautiful and positive attitude should be mentioned because she greeted me right from the start to the end of my visit. She really made my day specially because it was my birthday. Some days go smoothly with all ingredients fresh and available, the staff having no attitude, and payments/coupons not having any issues, while on other days, all issues occur. It is 1017 (at the time of this writing) It was overall clean and did not smell bad. - CLEANLINESS. Some of the tables were dirty because of the other customers eating and not cleaning up after themselves. That's on the customer's though, and I wouldn't blame the restaurant. - COSTS. $12.99 (at the time of this writing) for 1 Build-your-own, regular-crust pizza. - CUSTOMER SERVICE. Average. On extremely busy days, you can tell the staff are stressed. - FOOD QUALITY. Ingredients are fresh and none was out of stock or looked old/rotten. I want to caveat that this review is old. My most recent experience here was in March during pie day. Pi day is where Blaze gives an offer to buy a pizza for $3.14 on March 14th. I came here an hour before closing and the line was still relatively long. I had just drove from the Seal Beach location because after waiting an hour in line, they told us we had to leave because they wouldnt be able to serve us. In exchange for waiting an hour, all they offered was a 20% off coupon. I was not a happy camper and thought Blaze as a whole did this. I quickly rushed up the freeway to Blaze in Cerritos and found that they were proactively giving away coupons to return to buy a pizza for $3.14! Cerritos knew they wouldnt be able to serve everyone in time before closing so they started handing them out 20 minutes after waiting. This allowed me to come back and order a pizza, which i specifically came to this location for. The pizza is always delicious, especially when you build your own. I recommend the spicy marinara, goat cheese, and whole garlic to add in addition to all the meats and vegetables you can. I love Blaze, so I was disappointed in the Seal Beach location, but this location made up for it. read more

This update is purely for the atrocious customer service that we received recently. This was the same location that we had such a positive experience few years ago from a gentleman working on our pizzas. What a great guy! Now coming to the recent interaction we had, the lady who prepared the pizza had the rudest personality ever! We witnessed customers actually exiting the line after standing in the line, which should have given us a big clue to exit out as well. Since our son really likes their pizza, we stayed in the line and it was a big mistake! We understand that the restaurant workers are overwhelmed with all the hardwork they have been doing these days and we do appreciate each and every one of them. However, there is absolutely no reason to be discourteous to the customers. It is not the way. So I tried to call and order a pizza but the app wouldn't let me; I had to order it online. After I ordered, it said my pickup time was about 15 minutes later, which was good as I lived that far away. I arrived exactly at the time it said to be there and these guys don't even have my order. They said they didn't even get the order. I had the receipt emailed to me. It was the correct store in Cerritos. Instead of hurrying to put the pizza in the oven, they spend like five minutes at least trying to figure out why it didn't go through. Came here because my gf and I were craving pizza and this place was nearby. I haven't been to a blaze in a while so it was nice to come back. The great thing about blaze is that the pizza size is big enough for us two to split, which makes the price very reasonable. Better yet, we're able to customize each half of the pizza with our preferred toppings, so that's also great. I'm glad that they don't have some weird policy against it. Blaze is a great choice if you're craving build your own pizza. For this year's #ThankYouThursday2021, I'm doing something totally different. I'm picking Blaze Pizza, a restaurant chain, AND giving 3 stars. It may not seem like much of a thank you, but I have seen some improvement compared to last year that I believe is worthy of another star from yours truly. Despite my initial review full of rhymes, we have been going through tough times, so I thought I'd make some limeade out of limes. Alright rhymes aside, I do have to say that the Blaze Pizza Rewards app had me coming back to Blaze several times during the pandemic. With so many interesting offers to take advantage of, I figured why not give Blaze a second chance? Or a third chance? Or a twentieth chance? Offers in the app include making a certain number of purchases over a period of time to get bonus flames, where 1 flame = $1 spent. What I learned the hard way is that these flames expire after one year I believe, and you don't get a notification of these flames expiring until about a week before. Even if you rack up flames over the course of a full year, the flames that you earn in February of one year will expire in February of the following year. That's kind of lame in my opinion, and I still haven't found a way to see how many flames will expire when. As I mentioned before, I believe Blaze Pizza in Cerritos is deserving of one additional star, but what I didn't mention before is that I came THIS close to never wanting to go back to Blaze Pizza. Twice earlier this year, I ordered a dessert online and scheduled to pick up at a later time. I arrived earlier than I expected, and I figured since it was just a dessert, it wouldn't be a problem to arrive early. After all, they could just pick it up from their display case and hand it to me. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Their staff got quite annoyed that I came early, and I wasn't sure why. Even when I showed them the email, they still acted as if I was in the wrong for coming early to pick up my dessert. I made a note about that to their Guest Services team, and my note was forwarded to the multi-unit supervisor. The supervisor reached out to me and explained that if I arrive early, the team might not see the order in their system, which explains why they weren't expecting me to arrive earlier than my pickup time, but doesn't explain the off-putting tone I received from the same staff member on BOTH visits. I actually thought about downgrading my review to 1 star, but knowing I had some rewards to claim, I wanted to wait it out and see if things would improve. And luckily, things did improve, but it definitely took a while. All the pizzas I had in 2020 were less than satisfactory to my taste buds, and for my first pizza from Blaze in 2021, I nearly dropped it on the floor! I was fortunate enough to catch the box and prevent a perfectly good pizza from going to waste. The toppings stayed on for the most part, and the pizza tasted so much better than all the other ones from 2020. Oddly enough, my next few pizzas didn't taste as good. Does this mean I have to almost drop pizza on the floor for it to taste better??? Hopefully not! lol Thankfully, my last couple pizzas from Blaze have been about as good as the one I nearly dropped. I wasn't even having a good day those couple days, but the pizzas I had from Blaze on those days definitely helped put me in a better mood. The staff has generally been nicer after the double dessert debacle I mentioned earlier in this review. Jacob has especially done a great job manning the pizza oven and preparing the pizzas for the customers. I think he even remembered my name on one visit when I ordered another dessert to treat myself, so that was pretty cool. Blaze also offers dough knots, but they're a pass for me. DOUGH KNOT get the dough knots since they taste just like pizza dough. The cheesy bread is a better choice for a side. You can choose to have the pesto drizzle on top as well as garlic in your bread. The bread comes with two sauce cups; I recommend choosing one red sauce and one spicy red sauce so you can get the best of both worlds. Like I said, I've generally been happier with my more recent visits to Blaze, hence why I'm giving the third star. I could give a fourth, but it's hard for me to forget about the pizzas from last year as well as that rude staff member shooing me away early this year. Still, with today being #ThankYouThursday2021, I wanted to say thank you to Blaze Pizza for all the cool offers I was able to take advantage of and for giving me a good excuse to visit the area, which is full of various eateries! read more

I really like this location's Blaze pizza in the quality of their pizzas, albeit parking may be a bit chaotic. If you like chewy pizza crust and breading--this is the spot! Ordered the Art Lover, Veg Out, and Customized 11-inch pizza. Both signature pizzas were superb. What I created did not come out exactly as I expected when combined altogether--so I'll give it another shot again next time. I guess you really gotta know what works and what doesn't. I did the pick-two toppings 11-inch: pineapple and black olives with balsamic glaze drizzle and arugula. The drizzle was too overwhelming, I did not know what I was eating. I thoroughly enjoyed the Art Lover!! It's a very simple ingredient pizza - red sauce, artichoke, chopped garlic, and ricotta cheese - but it's sooooo flavorful and delightful! The Veg Out pizza was also delicious, consisting of broccoli, mushroom, red onion, mozzarella cheese and gorgonzola cheese. The gorgonzola was a bit strong for me, but if you like that - this is THE pizza to go for. Toppings are unlimited. - Their desserts are so yummy warmed up. - There's always a coupon available online or in the mail PLUS they have a rewards/loyalty program. TIPS: - Better to go during non-rush times because things will get forgotten and service will be compromised. - You might want to check out their menu online and write down what you want, so you can just read it out to them. Terrible customer service! Terrible "pizza makers". First of all, they don't know how to make a simple pepperoni pizza. For 8.95 before tax. Save your money and go elsewhere. As you can see in the pizza they give you very few pepperonis & forget to add marinara sauce all throughout the pizza. Let's also not forget their skimpy mozzarella cheese. This is a terrible pizza. I was starving and that's the only reason why there's a slice missing. When your hungry you literally eat anything but let's just simply say, it tasted terrible!
