The closest Jollibee to me is in Delano, but the Bakersfield location makes more sense because it is conveniently located just off Highway 99 and is almost exactly the midpoint between Fresno and Los Angeles. No matter which location I visit, the food is always on point. The consistency and high standards in the way the fried chicken and sides are prepared make Jollibee one of my most reliable favorites. Jollibee's Chickenjoy is addictively delicious. Its secret marinade is packed with flavor, fully infused into the meat, and keeps the chicken exceptionally moist. Their signature savory gravy takes the flavor profile to another level. I especially love the delicate, crispy breading instead of the thick, shatteringly hard crust used by many American competitors. The piping-hot gravy is velvety, rich, and savory; dipping the chicken into it enhances the umami flavor and perfectly complements the meat. The biscuit emerges beautifully golden-brown and crisp on the outside, releasing curls of steam as it is broken open. Inside, the layers are buttery and flaky, carrying a rich flavor with a subtle, savory depth. Jollibee's uniquely Filipino sides are also outstanding. Favorites like Jolly Spaghetti with its sweet sauce and hot dogs, garlic rice, adobo rice, and crispy fries are all mouthwateringly delicious. Their desserts, especially the peach mango pie and ube pie, are equally satisfying. Another major plus is the value. Combo meals are generally $2-3 cheaper than competitors', and Jollibee is one of the few places that serves gravy with fried chicken at no extra charge. The service is consistently excellent: fast, efficient, friendly, and welcoming from the moment you walk in. The flaky, crispy fried chicken, savory gravy, excellent sides, affordable prices, and friendly service are what truly separate Jollibee from its competitors. Jollibee will always have a special place in my heart. Food is always consistent, the ambiance always feels like home, and the workers are always jolly. My faves are the following: Spaghetti - captures that perfect balance of sweet and savory filipino spaghetti Chicken Tenders - crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside Chicken Joy - same with the chicken tenders but these are mostly leg and thigh Peach Mango Pie - you can never go wrong with this one. It is crunchy on the outside while the filling bursts with ooey gooey flavors of sweet and warm peaches Fries - this has a distint taste that I like and are cooked to perfection Pineapple Juice - sooo yummy, refreshing, and the perfect pair for any meals Burger Steak - burger patties with yummy sauce Highly recommend this place if you want to try authentic and classic Filipino fastfood restaurant.

The big bucket of ChickenJoy atop the roof is inviting and happily laughable. Drive thru attendant was informative and super friendly. We were made aware it would be a 15-minute wait for the fried chicken and willingly accepted. Readily ordered ChickenJoy Fried Chicken, Adobo Rice, and Peach Mango Pies. Cannot forget the gravy.

I will admit, as a staunch pescatarian, I have not sampled any chicken at Jollibee. I have had the crispy fries and today, I had a biscuit. But the main reason I return is that incomparable peach-mango pie. It is so good. As a type-two diabetic, I stay away from processed sugar but man, this is epic taste of delicious.

We was coming back home from Lancaster and decided to stop at a jollibee for a quick bite. We usually stop at the Delano location but since we was really hungry and closer to the Bakersfield one, we ended up here. Pulling up, I was like omg wow how cute! Cus of that blow up bucket of fried chicken they had on the top of the roof.. it was so funny and gimmicky to me.. idk why but it was also cute. Pulling up to the drive thru, I noticed the menu was different from my last jollibee visit. It has more drinks (which I didn't get a pic of, oops) and a little more on their menu from last time like certain burgers.. I usually order the same shit. My bf got a burger but I don't remember which one.. I got the 2 piece chicken meal that came with a palabok.. I didn't kno it came with gravy already.. I ended up ordering mash with gravy on the side.. ig it comes together. As for my drink I grabbed a new one that I haven't tried which was a dragon fruit drink.. the drink was ice cold and refreshing.. service, as always at other jollibees is excellent!! I would say they aim to please but I didn't like how my potatoes tasted this time.. chicken I asked for spicy and they delivered.. but the potatoes was not it for me!! It was a weird texture.. and it didn't taste like how it usually was... just not for me.. when I microwaved my leftovers, the mash completely disappeared like disintegrated which leads me to believe it was a type of box mash meaning some powder and add milk or water type of shiiii.... Maybe that part don't matter since I liked it before but maybe whoever made it this time, I did not like! My palabok was good and had a lot of that pork gravy but I was annoyed that I didn't get my packet of lemon juice like they usually give me which is to help balance the salty and fatty gravy pork sauce.. other then that, jollibee usually is good to me.

Always hits the spot! Chicken is so fresh and juicy, it's perfectly cooked. The skin is crunchy and savory, yum. Now Jollibee offers Mac-n-cheese, biscuits, and other new sides!! In addition, they have new refreshers. I had the passion fruit one and it was delicious!! Service here is always friendly. The staff always welcome you and they are pleasant. The service is quick and the restaurant is always clean. The bathroom is clean too. Jollibee is also one of the few remaining fried chicken specialty shops that is still affordable. I always order the Jollibee combo- it has two pieces of fried chicken (and they are huge), one side, a drink, and a dessert. You can up-charge your sides if you want the premium ones too. Enjoy!

Food service is always quick at this location, customer service is great from the workers every time, they are friendly, quick, and the area and tables are always kept clean. Can never go wrong with getting fried chicken here and if there's a collab like the Katseye chicken sandwich or chicken meals again, they always hit the right spot. definitely a great place to go for quick, freshly fried, and delicious chicken and other food items. the adobo rice is a must try!

First and foremost BRING A SWEATER OR A JACKET IF YOU PLAN TO EAT INSIDE!!! Why is their ac on full blast during cold season . After a day of fun in the sun my boys and I settled on trying this spot for the first time. The spicy chicken is THE BEST!!! Both regular and spicy are non oily and the fries are cooked to perfect. The fries have flavor like no salt needed like all other fast food places where I always find myself ordering FRIES WITH NO SALT because what they serve is salt with fries. The pies taste fresh without being oily. The rice was adobo but I didn't get the flavor of adobo. The mashed potatoes were good. I don't understand the spaghetti but we were hungry so it passed. It has like a sweet flavor to it idk how to explain it. The reason behind my high rating is due to the fact the establishment is so clean both restroom and inside. The staff is so friendly, so friendly they helped take my second tray to my table so I wouldn't have to make a round trip. Free refills on soda and the staff walking in for closing shift was worried about my dog after he got off his leash. I will return hopefully they fix the indoor temperature . They offer a variety of flavored drinks. I need to know if their Spicy chicken sandwich is better than theor neighbor that is closed on Sunday. Great family deals.

The food was actually really good. The chicken freshly made you can see the juice after you take a bite. The fries are good and not greasy. The pineapple drink was delicious and refreshing. The service from Joshua was not very welcoming, he actually seem annoyed because we asked a few questions. He did not great us and over all just did not feel friendly to us. When others came in he was like a different person. Great g and laughing with the other customers. I have a latex allergy and the lobby was filled with latex balloon displays. It was very hard to eat and there is no out door seating. Over all the food was delicious, feel free to use the drive thru if you have an allergy to latex.

THIS much food for less money...AND it actually tastes good! This place really knows how to make chicken tenders...

This was my first time trying out this new place in town. So far I have waited over 20 minutes for my meal with no line. Workers standing around talking to each other. This is ridiculous. Waiting to talk to someone to get a refund. Update 25 minutes sitting here. Now they're debating wether or not to give a refund. Ridiculous. I will not be back. read more

I love Jollibee!! I usually go in to order but this time I called in to order. The customer service employee taking my order was very kind and patient. We ordered the Bucket B family meal. If you're in the mood for rice noodles rich with yellow sauce (made of tasty pork and shrimp) this is the restaurant for you. Service staff are very helpful and informative. You can ask them question about the food, they'll be happy to answer your questions. They also have their own version of crispy fried chicken that comes with brown gravy. The inside of the restaurant is very clean and they' have clean tables for dine in. I will recommend this restaurant for those who wants to try Filipino rice noodle called "palabok", and they're very own fried chicken with gravy. read more

Never thought I'd return after the "change" incident. Ended up here again because roommate ordered food online. Time promised online was an hour more wait in this place. To top that off, they forgot of all things the chicken! So, that was more wait time. A handful of clerks on 11/15/21 from 6pm - 8pm, but only the male clerk seem to be the only one working and trying. The female clerks on the floor that night? Not even near moving to help that poor guy prepare orders. Instead, the girls continued to mingle and have a jolly time amongst themselves ignoring the fact that everyone was near no more patience waiting on their order. Management, you really need to step in and weed out your lazy clerks. I would really love for this place to thrive, but with workers as such, this place will not make it. read more

Growing up in a Filipino household, I've been eating Jollibee my whole life. I've tried all types of Jollibee locations all over California and even the Philippines. I was eager to try this Bakersfield location since I was craving some Chicken Joy. I ordered a bucket of spicy Chicken Joy, mango peach pies, and pancit palabok. The food was fresh and hot. Everything tasted delicious and was of good quality. If you love spicy, you'll definitely love their spicy Chicken Joy. The chicken are super crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The gravy always complements the chicken very well. All the workers were friendly and provided excellent customer service. The restaurant was clean and spacious inside. It was not super busy, so wait time for the food was reasonable. Overall, this is a great Jollibee location. read more

This is the second time in which I had to wait unnecessarily long for my food. The first time they did not relay my order and I waited for 30 minutes. Today, the delay was due to the fries. I don't understand what's wrong with this store. The Delano Jollibee is much more efficient-and they have the same number of workers or less. I don't like eating my food half annoyed. read more

I Jollibee! I'm so glad we finally have one in Bakersfield. I can fill my Filipino-ness anytime without going out of town. Jollibee is well known for their Chicken Joy. They also have Peach Mango and Ube (Purple Taro) pie. They have rice, palabok (rice noodle with shrimp sauce) and Filipino spaghetti (sweet spaghetti) to pair the chicken with. My kid love their spaghetti so she always gets it. If you love fried chicken or if you just want to get a really good pie, come and try this place. read more

Went through the drive through and the ordering was fast. Ordered 2 pieces burger steak with 1 piece chicken and a side. Quite disappointed when i opened my food to see that my burger steak doesn't have any mushrooms on it. The taste was not the same that i'm used too. Everything was under-seasoned. Poor freaking service ever. Gisele is really bad on taking orders and doesn't listen. Had to repeat it 3 times. I freakin hate it when the person helping you goes off and helps other fucking rude customers who butt in while you're ordering. Lackluster service. I've only eaten here a handful of times and a couple of times, a girl at drive thru completely got my order wrong... even after I repeated to her. Second incident, just yesterday, I went with a coworker to eat inside for lunch; the girl at the front took his order, I was next, but when I stepped up to provide my order, she just walked off to help the drive thru with bagging orders. My coworker asked, "She didn't take your order?" She heard this, which prompted her to walk back to the register to finally take my order. THIS PLACE IS A JOKE. Worst experience ever. No workflow. No one knew what they were doing. Like 5 people huddled over 1 order. Geez. So I've given this place like multiple chances. Ordered 6 pieces of chicken and it was a 35 minute wait!! Like wtf. Slow as molasses. You can hear someone yelling at the workers in the back. I think I'm done with this place. Delicious, flavorful, and melts in your mouth. Sides were also delicious. The service was good too. You just go up and get your order. It took a little time, but the staff is helpful and friendly. The two tables of customers that were eating when we arrived placed the trays full of their trash on top of the cabinet that hold the two trash cans, because trash was already too full for more trash. Management must be incompetent at this place as dirty and trashy is a common theme in most of my experiences at this location. A competent manager would assign someone to empty the trash. It would probably take five minutes.

I once came to get an order through the drive thru, I was wearing one of my vests that had a visible pronouns patch on it. One of your employees insisted on misgendering me as female even though I'm a cisgendered burly male, and appear as such.
