Visited The Habit for lunch today. I ordered the Teriyaki Char Burger, and it was delicious -- the juicy patty, sweet pineapple, and rich teriyaki sauce all came together perfectly. I also tried the Cauliflower Cheddar Tots and was so pleasantly surprised. No cauliflower taste at all, just pure cheesy, crispy goodness. The sweet potato fries were amazing, cooked just right, and the fried green beans were another standout... super crispy and not oily whatsoever, the fries on the other hand tasted like the oil needed to be changed out, was not my favorite. Service was quick, I mobile ordered. The store front was clean, and staff were friendly. Overall, everything was fresh, flavorful, and way better than expected. Today, I placed an order at your establishment and waited approximately 30 minutes to receive my food. After that amount of time, and without receiving clear information about the delay, I decided to cancel my order. Unfortunately, the situation became worse due to the attitude of the employee who assisted me, Monica. When I canceled my order, she appeared upset and behaved in an unprofessional manner, making me feel uncomfortable for making what I believe was a reasonable decision after such a long wait. I understand that delays can happen, but I believe customers deserve respectful treatment and proper communication. There are many good food places on California Ave. I was looking for something quick and easy, so I pulled into the Habit. They have an order screen to take your order. I guess that's the way everything is moving now. It was easy and quick, plus there was someone nearby in case you have problems. The booths are comfortable. There's outside seating. Not what I was looking for when it's 104 out. I ordered the Chicken Club and an order of fries. I really didn't need the fries. The sandwich was more than enough for a reasonable meal. We were in this place Friday night at about 8:00. There were two tables taken when we walked in, one along the windows to the left and another to the right by the rest room hall. Both of the trash cans to the left of the door were overflowing.. and the tables were dirty as usual. We ordered our food and found a clean table. The two tables of customers that were eating when we arrived placed the trays full of their trash on top of the cabinet that hold the two trash cans, because trash was already too full for more trash. Management must be incompetent at this place as dirty and trashy is a common theme in most of my experiences at this location. A competent manager would assign someone to empty the trash. It would probably take five minutes. read more

Today I forgot to ask for a lettuce wrap. When I saw my burger I recognized my mistake. I apologized and asked if they would make it so for me. My husband and I visited The Habit Burger Grill on Callaway and Olive after church today. I was surprised to find that there were only a few customers in the restaurant upon our arrival. The server greeted us warmly and took our order. I ordered the Barbecue Chicken Salad while my husband opted for the Portabella Char Burger. We also ordered a side of Onion Rings and Crispy Chicken Bites along with two drinks. Our food was served promptly. The salad was dressed with a barbecue and vinaigrette-style dressing, which was quite delicious. However, I would've preferred to have the dressing on the side next time. My husband's Portabella burger looked scrumptious, but unfortunately, I didn't have a chance to taste it as he finished it off quickly. The chicken bites and onion rings were both cold when we received them, but I found the onion rings to be crispy and enjoyable. First you have to use a kiosk to order as there is no option to order with a person. The kiosk doesn't allow some customization (adding mustard to a burger). My husband ordered a double char with cheese and once the food was finally ready his burger had no cheese. We were pressed for time so we could not wait for them to fix it.
