I tried going to the Jollibee in Skokie a few months after that location opened and it was still 1.5 hr wait. So I left and went to Halal Guys. I didn't get around to trying Jollibee until this new location opened. I didn't know how close Seafood City and this new location was to my friend's apartment until he pointed it out to me one day. I went on a Sunday afternoon to finally try some Jollibee. I waited in line for about 20-30 minutes. I ordered it to go so I waited another 5 minutes for my food to be ready. I ordered the chicken bucket B (which consisted of 6 pcs of fried chicken, a family sized order of spaghetti and 3 peach mango pies) and large fries. I was so excited to try it when I got home. Everything was amazing! Well, except for the fries not being salted at all. I was warned that the spaghetti would be sweet but I grew up with a mom who oddly enough added sugar to the jars of Ragu spaghetti sauce so it was perfect for me. The spaghetti had chopped up pieces of hot dog in it and a little bit of cheese on top. It could have used more sauce. The peach mango pies are a million times better than the McDonald's apple pies that everyone compares them to. I need to go back ASAP. read more

It's just okay! I wanted to figure out the hype over their fried chicken. Tastes very similar to kfc but a little less seasoned and more crunch. This is the location inside of Seafood City. I have never tasted Jolibee, but I went on a Friday afternoon and there were only a handful of customers, so I placed my order, was given a pager, and the food was ready within 3 minutes. The chicken was delicious. Tender and moist inside, with a light crispy breading. I got the 6 piece bucket. The other half was spicy. I mean spicy! Way hotter than Popeyes. We saw this Jollibee while on our way out of town and decided to see what all the fuss was about! This location was pretty crowded, another customer told us the location on Touhy Ave. wasn't nearly as busy. We got the family combo B, which had a 6 piece bucket of chicken, gravy, a large bowl of spaghetti and 2 mango peach pies. We also got a green ice drink and one of their sundae's with adzuki beans and icecream. The real standout was the chicken, this stuff is good! We poured the gravy on top to make it extra unhealthy but extra tasty. I'd return just for this gooey mess. The rest of the meal though... very mediocre I have to admit. The spaghetti is def. love it or leave it, for me it was too sweet, the sausage/hot dog cut up into it was too mushy and the pasta overcooked. Desert-wise, the peach/mango pie crust was flaky and tasty, but the filling tasted really artificial. Overall I spent 37$ on fast food, it was fun to try something new but I wouldn't make any special trips here, the combo B was more than enough for 3 people -- I have to say, Popeye's chicken is crispier and a whole lot closer so I'll just go with that option, but if you go, get the chicken. read more

It's unbelievable how slow this place is. The shortest I have ever waited for this "fast food" was 20 minutes. I just want to say that I'm appalled and disgusted with the recent behavior of a supervisor. Her name is Milagos Soscan. After numerous visits to this eatery and I mean numerous, at least once a week. I am about to call the police on the verbal abuse I have witnessed in reference to this supervisor berating her subordinates . This wasn't done behind closed doors or in the office but out in the customer eating area. This issue needs to be addressed . I cant imagine the employees working there long term with this disruptive behavior. This recent outrage concerned the employees uniform not being ironed . Ordered a 6 piece bucket of chicken joy and a pineapple juice, and they told us it would be 15 minutes. 20 minutes passes so I check up on it, and the cashier informs me they haven't started making it. He asked me to wait 9 minutes. 10 minutes later, still nothing. My boyfriend, now angry, asks them where it is. They say wait 40 seconds. At this point we're just over it and we ask for a refund. 4 people stand at the register to process our request before the manager shows up. The manager gives a half-hearted apology before we get our refund and offers us nothing beyond that. Your management has to reconsider a time sensitive, efficient service to your customers. Yesterday was a disaster, for an order of one spaghetti and drinks to take 45 min! And the worst is you don't know when your order will be called. Orders were called by name, instead of order number. You have about 50 people awaiting for orders, and you don't know where you're at!?! You're totally lost in this system and you have no idea when you will be called. And the person who call the names has a very tiny voice, unheard, unclear, and customers having the same names come to get their supposed orders just to be disappointed. What an inefficient system, how are you gonna enjoy your meal waiting at the counter for your name, or someone else's name? This personalized system may work on non- busy days. So come on, you have to learn from the crowd yesterday! The two workers packing and handling the orders were really slow, unconcerned of an awaiting packed crowd of families with small children, people going going to work... just this is so unprofessional of Jolibee management. The spicy chicken is very good. The heat comes from a spice that is actually sprinkled on top, in lieu of being added to the breaded before the chicken is cooked. It's a surprising twist, but hubby and I liked it. The quality of the chicken is still questionable, because of the amount of fattiness their chicken seems to have. I was sort of forced to try this place by the lady in my life bring Filipino. She ordered for me the following items. Spicy fried chicken, spaghetti, palabok, peach/mango pie. Fried chicken was delicious and a good kick and the gravy was a unique and tasty addition. Spaghetti was interesting it has a sweet taste to it, but I was surprised it was good the hotdogs were a great addition because I love hotdogs. Moving on I did not enjoy the palabok at all, not my cup of tea the noodles had a strange texture. I love those apple pies at McDonald's who doesn't, but this place has something similar that is maybe on par with those delicious little pies to go. The sweet mango and peach combination seems strange, but it is to die for, the crust is flakey and crispy overall I would stop by this place just to grab some of those pies. Overall I had a pretty good experience, obviously I will most likely be forced again to go here, due to my significant other loving this place. I came here yesterday, I was doing my groceries. So I ask the lady in charge if the chicken was halal or not. Due my religious affiliations.I have to make sure I am not eating halal chicken. I ask the first lady incharge she said its not. Happy to hear that. I really enjoyed Jollibee's as a first-timer. My friends took me here to try the fried chicken and it was amazing!! I ordered the 2-piece chicken with Filipino spaghetti and pineapple juice. For starters, I love pineapple juice so already I was hyped up for this place. The side of Filipino spaghetti was warm, sweet and topped with sprinkles of cheese & bits of sausage. I don't know how legit this was but I thought it complemented everything well. I also ordered the buko pandan bubble tea--it was a little sweet but I love pandan, so it was a nice trip down memory lane. The chicken on the other hand was so delicious! The skin was so flavorfully salted and the meat was so juicy--I'm so sad that I didn't discover this sooner. What brought down my review by a star is the really long wait. This is considered a fast food place so it was quite surprising when the line would move so slowly that it trailed and crowded the restaurant. I have never been so frustrated visiting ANY restaurant/fast food joint as much as today. The employees at Jollibee told my girlfriend & I it would be a 20 minute wait at most. Keep in mind most of their customers are Filipino or from other Asian American decent. We are mixed with multiple nationalities, and it's obvious. We ended up waiting over an hour before being served our food, and had about 7 other customers receive their food before we did. Even after complaining, they still continued to serve people who ordered much later after us. There were people in & out within 5 minutes. Why were we waiting an hour?
