At Popeye's, I can get a 5pc family meal with 2 sides for 13.99. Although the quality is a grade above Popeye's, which do you think I will frequent more, based on being economical? The sandwich had spicy mayo with fresh jalapeños. It was breast meat, but you could tell the chicken had been well brined. Keepin it real in Journal Square I love that this exists here in JS. Customer service top notch as usual, can be measured with Chick Fil A even. The interior is actually nice, but does have constant traffic. You simply can't go wrong with Jollibee, we pretty much got the whole menu (almost). Only thing lacking is the chicken sandwich, juicy but the chicken itself just didn't hit compare to previous times, and the lettuce is pretty old and dark in certain area. But still, good experience! Crazy busy at this location but you would expect that at the mall and this is probably one of the best they have to offer at the mall. Everything is fresh and hot. I have visited two Jollibee locations and this one is my favorite. I just felt like this location had better customer service. The food was hotter and delicious. The space is more inviting and my children and I love to make a visit every time we make a visit to Jersey City. The spicy chicken is the best. It also isn't anything special and you taste too much bread compared to meat. Also while the Palabok is good, for the price you get a very small portion. It just has more flavor. This place is super convenient since it's right outside of the Journal Square PATH stop. You're supposed to dunk the chicken in gravy, but I prefer to get a side of rice and put the gravy on that. Maybe it's just me, but I don't like my chicken soggy. They have a bunch of dipping sauces, but I think it's still pretty good as is. Make sure to get a pie. I got the pineapple coconut pie, but the mango one actually has a stronger flavor. The Filipino McDonalds is here! It looks as if the or opening in early 2020 was shuttered due to the pandemic. Now that it's open I dropped in to check out the space. For those who don't know, basically Jollibees is like a combination of Popeyes, McDonald's, and KFC with a Filipino twist. They add on items like spaghetti, palabok fiesta, and adobo rice that most American fast food restaurants don't offer. The establishment was massive. It has a large front section to accommodate lines (and currently 6ft social distancing). They have a large seating area in the back that looks like it could accommodate up to 30 or so guests. Journal square actually has a small Filipino community nearby, which I only realized very recently. So it is a very nice addition to the neighborhood. read more

I am a senior citizen. I took my 4 granddaughters to Jobilee located on Journal Square in Jersey City, NJ. I have taken them before on numerous occassions. Today the were told that the bathroom will longer be available for use. 2 of my grand daughters had to use it. As a result, after paying $46, i cancelled all our orders and walked out. I do not understand why your restaurant no longer has a bathroom that can be used by your customers. Eventually our 4th try asking they told us their machine was broken and wouldn't have the chicken until around 20 minutes, but they close in 15. They are very disorganized and irresponsible.
