I decided to give Jollibee a try after all the Snapchat and Instagram stories I saw from friends. I went during the week so there was no lineup at all. I ordered the two piece chicken with a side of mashed potatoes, spaghetti, and a peach mango pie. Everything tasted great! I enjoyed having the chicken with gravy. The spaghetti was tasty and on the sweeter side compared to regular spaghetti. The spaghetti also comes with hot dogs. The peach mango pie looks very similar to the McDonald's apple pie. The filling is sweet and fruity. I would definitely come back and order enough for a Jollibee mukbang. read more

I had to check myself to make sure I wasn't giving this a decent review just because of nostalgia but because this place is actually alright - not over-the-top fantastic, but decent. I visited on a rainy Tuesday evening around 7:00 PM, 4 days after opening day. To be very honest, I expected complete disorganization and long wait times - surprisingly, it wasn't what I expected at all. Pretty organized, and the wait wasn't terrible (around 30 minutes from the time I lined up to the point I picked up my food). The Process - First, note that before you line up, you have to grab a number and a menu from the employee managing the lineup (as of the date of this review, they have a max spend of $60 per person). Second, as you wait, employees walk up and down the line writing down your order - they then give you your order sheet so you're ready by the time you're inside and you aren't holding up the line hemming and hawing over the menu. Third, you're ushered in, you line up in front of the cashiers, and you order. Fourth, you pay and you're given a buzzer - your food comes soon thereafter. Overall - the food certainly isn't as good as I remember growing up in Manila (can it ever really compare? truly?). And, I found that it isn't even comparable to the location I tried in California either (the San Jose location was infinitely better in taste and in pricing - this Mississauga location is priceyyyyy compared to other international locations). The spaghetti was fine but didn't have that same delicious nostalgic kick I was expecting. And the chicken didn't seem to be cooked all the way (see attached pictures). BUT, the peach mango pie was fantastic and I would legit line up again just to buy those pies. For Bucket B (6 pieces of chicken, 3 peach mango pies, and a family sized order of the famous spaghetti) and 2 palaboks, our order came up to almost $60. So - while it's pricey and not as great in flavour as I was expecting, it's certainly organized and the food isn't terrible - at the end of the day, I suppose it's nice to have a little piece of home just around the corner. I remember Jollibee when I was at Ala Moana on Honolulu, there was long lineups there as well. This location, attached to the grocery store has lots of seating and is very clean. The Filipinos go crazy for this place, but everyone behaves themselves. They open super early, so if you have a breaded chicken craving, this is the place to go to, at just about anytime of day. The staff is friendly and quick. They don't have white meat, so I pass on the chicken and go directly for the peach mango pie--absolutely delicious! read more

The lineup for this place was not as bad as I thought. There was a line, but the line moved fairly quickly. Our order was taken by staff right before arriving to the order counter, which really speeded the whole process. We got the 3 piece chicken combo with the pineapple drink, 2 sides, and a peach mango pie. This was the most flavourful piece of fried chicken I've ever had. The chicken was very juicy and crunchy. Each chicken also came with a cup of gravy which really went well with the chicken. The pineapple drink was simply pineapple juice. I'm not a crazy pie person but their peach mango pie, was really crunchy on the outside and absolutely delicious on the inside. It was such an addicting dessert! Impressive for the second location debut, my first time trying. You should definitely expect lineups but if you look in the kitchen, they're working super hard and fast. Impressed with how they dealt with the large volume of people. I ordered a family combo with 6pc spicy chicken, 1 family sized spaghetti, and 3 peach mango pies. Chicken definitely rivals Popeyes and is way better than KFC, has a good amount of spice. Everyone says the spaghetti is super sweet but I think it's not too bad as it still tastes savoury. It has some cheese and some small cuts of hot dog in it. The pies are deep fried and filled with peach mango that oozes out when you bite down. McD's apple pies have some competition. HAMBURGER WITH FRIES For those who are use to the regular ketchup and sometimes mayo then thos will be a surprise for you the sauce on the burger is more on the sweeter side definitely kids will love this. PALABOK I thought we would be getting those fat noodles for the palabok but we were happy to see their palabok has the traditional noodles the very thin noodles.. flavors were goot. I wish they had the sliced calamansi on the side since I like my palabok tangy. PINOY SPAGHETTI The classic Filipino style spaghetti they have the meat and hotdogs but they also added ham which I'm not use to but it still taste good. The icing on the spaghetti was the cheese the EDEN CHEESE (a small square of the eden cheese cost almost $7 which is crazy expensive) it made the spaghetti creamy and sweet. PEACH PIES The sweetest dessert theres nothing much you can say about a peach pie just that it taste like peach the pastry is crispy and its straight up delicious.. Overall I'm happy that the service and wait time is good and they move fast comparing to what I heard about the other location. I am so glad that Jollibee has finally opened up in Mississauga. I have been wanting to eat it AND compare it with the Jollibee in the Philippines. Since this location opened up less than a month, we expected a long wait. I actually thought it wouldn't take too long because the Scarborough location is STILL busy (~1hr time) despite being opened for more than 4-5 months. We lined up at 5pm on a weekday and not to our surprise, it was a 1 hour wait time. I like how there is a line system though; there are fences and people just sort of loop around, making the line up more orderly. As you wait in line, you can peruse the menu and order ahead so that when you actually go up to the counter, it will be faster. We ordered the Bucket Treat (~$44.99+tax) which consisted of: - 2 Jolly Crispy Chicken Buckets (12 pcs). We ordered 1 bucket of spicy and another bucket non-spicy - 4 steamed rice. We changed the sides to 2 mashed potatoes and 2 buttered corn. It was FREE OF CHARGE for this change. - 4 peach mango pies The crispy chicken was delicious! The meat was tender, the skin was crispy. In comparison with KFC and Popeyes, Jollibee's was less oily and less MSG, which I liked. At least I didn't crave water after the meal. KFC and Popeyes have wayyyy too much salt and MSG added to the chickens. The sides were okay. Nothing special about potatoes. It comes with gravy. The buttered corn wasn't buttered enough or at all because it tasted very steamed to me. I didn't mind it though as it counts down on the oiliness of the crispy chicken. A lot of people really like the peach mango pies, but for me, I thought it was only okay. It tasted like McD's apple pie but with peach and mango filling. I don't mind eating it. As a first-timer, this place was ok! Don't slaughter me, but I didn't really find the "Chicken Joy" all that different from KFC/Popeye's. Then again, I don't eat fried chicken often. Meat was tender tho, skin was quite oily. Wished that it was drained for a bit longer. Palabok was surprisingly tasty with a garlicky gravy. Palabok + 1 piece of Chicken was $10, portion was on the smaller side! I was still a bit hungry after that, so I ended up eating my pie. I was gonna save it for later. Mango peach pie - $2.99, Shell tasted like McD's apple pie and I only tasted canned peach, no distinct mango taste. Pineapple Juice was awh-ight, it was +$0.50 to upgrade from pop. I liked it after the ice cubes melted a bit, to dilute it. Tasted like Dole pineapple juice though. I'm not familiar with KFC/Popeye's pricing, but this is not a cheap place considering the portion size. (Gravy was HUGE though for 1-pc of chicken!) I'm giving Jollibee a 3.5. The location is good right in Seafood City Mississauga. The lines are organized and service fast for the volume. The seating is totally inadequate given the demand but nothing they can do now. On to the food: Yum burger: a typical fast food burger like McDonalds, pretty basic Sweet spaghetti: I really enjoyed the sweet spaghetti with cheese and little hot dogs. I will order this again for sure Palabok: very flavourful. But I didn't really like it combined with the fried chicken. It's great on its own though. Jollibee chicken joy: I feel like it's in between KFC and popeyes. It is solid fried chicken but there is no white meat to be found for the white meat lovers. Spicy is not too spicy but it is tasty. The gravy is good but I like gravy with white meat better. Peach mango pie: quite sweet and I can taste the canned fruit flavour but I feel $4 is too much for one. I finally tried Jollibee's!! This has been on my to-go list for a while. Location: For those of you who don't know, Jollibee's is kind of connected to the Filipino super market Seafood City. It reminds me of mcDonalds to Walmart. Nice break for the family grocery shopping :) Store: There are not many seating options inside the restaurant considering the lineup for it went out the door. Your best bet is to either do take out and eat somewhere else or get some seats/table while your friend/family/partner waits in line to order food. I also like how we got a buzzer after we ordered so we can wait while sitting down until the buzzer lights up for our order. It's a very common practice in restaurants in Asia. I'm surprised this hasn't caught on in other restaurants here. Menu + Food: Menu is pretty easy to understand. Fried chicken is in almost every combo. You could get it with sides of your choice, the spaghetti, or the palabok fiesta. The bucket option is also available. We ordered the C2 combo and the palabok fiesta combo. C2 comes with 2 pieces of chicken and 2 sides while the other comes with 1 piece. The chicken pieces are pretty big so it was enough food. I also like how we get the option of pineapple juice rather than traditional pop. The peach mango pie is like McD's apple pie but with peach mango filling. I also really liked that one! They posted signs to warn customers they were under staffed. Totally recommended. Ordered a bucket of fried chicken. My dad loves fried chicken and said this one is way better than KFC, and slightly ahead of Mary Browns. Spicy chicken actually tasted spicy. Sweet spaghetti wasn't too different than regular kraft spaghetti. We got buttered corn as sides and that was ok. I likely will be getting my main food elsewhere but I may come back for their fried peach and mango pie and their pineapple juice. But not if I have to wait in line. The service is good, I think its one of the most efficient fast food places considering the volume of people they get per hour. The food though, I say if you like sweet spaghetti then you'll enjoy this one, am just not a fan of how they cook the hotdog bits in it since its so firm for my liking. The chicken, its good and crispy. If you like a kick of spice then I recommend that one. The palabok, ummm.. I tried it twice already and am not a fan of it too much. The sauce is a bit lacking on it. And for dessert, their mango peach pie is good and so is the pineapple juice. You have to try those if you havent. My first visit to Jollibee, I kept my expectations realistic (having read other reviews), but guess what -I was impressed! The menu is simple, which is okay with me. Because these locations are extremely busy, the food is freshly cooked and for me this was apparent upon tasting it. The fries and chicken tasted fresh out of the fryer, rice was awesome and I want to slather all future meals in that delicious gravy!!! I also tried a Yum Burger, it was nothing special but a nice little "filler" item. Staff were very friendly and helpful, I like how they asked me to double check my order on screen before payment and they were also very careful with processing my payment correctly. Sounds like a small thing, but for me small things like this shows that the staff have been well trained and take their job seriously enough. Other fast food joints could learn a view things from Jollibee. Speaking of which, empty tables were wiped down and cleaned between guests, again other restaurants please take note! The lineup was long but everything was orderly, including food pickup (they use buzzer "pucks" to let you know when to collect your order, it was fast). Prices are competitive with similar chains such as Popeyes and KFC. Overall, I'd be happy to go to Jollibee again, I hope some more locations pop up across the GTA soon. read more

It is not actually that bad since the restaurant employees are very productive. It is the most lineup-worthy fast food import which opened up inside Mississauga's Seafood City Supermarket at Heartland Town Centre. Tons of diners line up for the Jolly Crispy Chicken with sides including fries, steamed rice, buttered corn, and mashed potatoes and gravy. It can also be paired with sweet, hot-dog-studded Jolly Spaghetti, or with shrimp, egg, and pork crackling-topped Palabok Fiesta. Came here after lunch on a Monday afternoon. No lineup outside the store which was amazing. Got in and there were about 5 people ahead of me. There are staff who were taking your order as you stood in line so the lielneup went pretty quickly. Got some spaghetti, fried chicken, palabok, yum burgers and of course peach mango pie. This restaurant is a fast food chain from the Philippines. It is always busy during peak times and serves up some interesting food to say the least. The day we went it was packed. We waited close to 30 minutes to order our food and then when we got it, there was absolutely no where to sit. We had to drive home to eat it. We kept hearing about the sweet spaghetti and fried chicken dishes. We were so intrigued we just had to try it. The chicken was nice and moist and had a nice crunchy coating but for me lacked salt. The spaghetti was indeed sweet and we were surprised to see hotdog pieces in it. So the spaghetti was not only sweet but had a flavor of hotdog too. I was saying that the noodles almost tasted like they were boiled in hotdog water. I liked the weirdness of it. For dessert we got the mango pies that were very sweet and flavorful. The spicy Chicken Joy (bucket of 6), 3 peach mango pies, an order of spaghetti and the pineapple juice. The chicken was good, very crispy, tender and an actual spice to it. More flavour than popeyes for sure. The spaghetti is definitely different haha; after eating it for a bit it did grow on me and i enjoyed it! I can surely see why the spaghetti is a hit with the kids, being a sweeter sauce with hot dogs this screams kids meal. Drink wise, I was excited to try the juice because I love pineapple flavoured anything but this juice was just disappointing; it's legit concentrated pineapple juice with water and A LOT of extra sugar. If you've tried real pineapple juice before this will likely be underwhelming for you. It was one of those drinks I felt bad drinking knowing how much sugar is in there and for that reason I wouldn't order this again. Alas, as everyone else's, my fave was the peach mango pie. Yummy eaten hot or freezing cold (learned this after I accidentally left them in my car for a couple hours lol). Preface: Jollibee is a staple in my childhood. It's where we celebrated birthday parties, after the doctor treat or it's where I was taken if I got perfect on my spelling tests. Living in Toronto, the nearest Jollibee was in California, then it crossed across the US to New Jersey - so I was definitely happy that it's not available here, albeit 30 minutes away from me, but closer than an hour or so away by plane. You can't go wrong with chicken joy (it is crispy and juicy, and when dipped in the gravy, gives it a whole different deliciousness) and spaghetti (it's sweet and has hotdog, so if that's not your thing, get the chicken with the rice) combo PLUS pineapple juice or if available pineapple float (it's the same juice above with a dollop of soft serve ice cream). The other thing to have is the Aloha burger, it's basically a hamburger with a sliced of pineapple - it doesn't sound like it'll be tasty, but I dare you to try it. It's the best thing ever! I would give this place a perfect 5-stars, but the service is hit or miss, so 4 is what it's going to get. read more

I didn't find anything amazing about their fried chickens to have spent some time in a very long line. They staff members has a working system and managed to get the line through pretty quickly. Pretty impressive so start with but not everything after that. The food didn't really live up to my expectations nor the hype.I found the fried chicken to be pretty bland, oily and flavorless the only good thing was it was pretty tender. My family and I have been so hyped for Jollibee and after months of waiting, we finally got the opportunity to try it out and was frankly, we were disappointed. We ordered two buckets - one of original and another spicy, but upon coming home and opening them up, we realized that they store had given us two buckets of regular chicken, and one set of gravy was missing. So, already I was slightly bummed at the service and these tiny mistakes that were putting a dampen on our experience - especially since we were really excited to try the spicy chicken. The chicken itself was tender, but lacking in flavour. Perhaps this is a personal preference, but we all thought that there wasn't a distinct flavour and felt like we were eating bland fried chicken. Although the main feature was disappointing, the spaghetti was a nice surprise, and the peach mango pie. We also enjoyed the pineapple juice which was nice and refreshing. Overall, I don't think I would go out of my way to get Jollibee and unless I happen to pass it, I might try the spicy chicken which we didn't get to this time. Finally, the lines have died down! In all due thanks to the opening of this second location, the Jollibee craze has reduced to what is now a reasonable place to visit for a meal. I came here with a few friends the other night and shared a Jolly Crispy Chicken Bucket Combo A for $28.99 (6 pc fried chicken, 3 sides, and 3 peach mango pies). The food was decent, quite good even, for fast food. Of note, the chicken was moist and tender while the skin was lightly battered and crispy (my friends attested that the spicy skin was also great). I really enjoyed that they provided complimentary gravy on the side for the chicken - however, there wasn't much flavour or seasoning to the skin and so I think I might still side with Popeyes for future fried chicken cravings. For the 3 sides, we got 2 buttered corns and 1 mashed potato - both options were tasty and nothing out of the norm. Finally, we got to the pies. The outer pastry was delightfully flaky and crisp while the inside was warm, sweet, and oozing with the peach-mango filling. Overall, I would say the pie was pretty good even though I'm not much of a sweets person. My only point of criticism is that the pie would've tasted better if the filling had more solid chunks of fruit and resembled less like jam. I also got the chance to try a bite of spaghetti from a friend's separate order and it was extremely mediocre - easily something you could make yourself at home. Of all the food items, the spaghetti tasted most like a "fast food item". All in all, Jollibee is a nice addition to the fast food scene, especially for those who have a nostalgic factor with this establishment. I was very curious about this place and glad I finally tried it but will likely not return unless to go again with a first timer. Went on Mother's Day, waiting over 30 in line, but I think this is the norm on weekends. Spaghetti was a bit sweet and had sliced hot dogs in it. Fried chicken was fresh and juicy, but coating was flavorless. Mashed potatoes were instant, gravy was weird. Pineapple drink was yummy. Peach mango pie was good. Friendly staff, over priced. I'm going to be honest, it's a bit weird reviewing a fast food joint but given hype, long lineups and all of Philippines cheering for this beloved franchise, I figured I would give my review for the 2nd location opened in the GTA. Not to mention, I technically had my taste of Jollibee's out in Honolulu, Hawaii (shout out to the Ala Moana Center!), so a good portion of what I've had is very familiar to me. So to speak of the elephant in the room, is that line-up. Yes, it does look very long, but oddly enough, the line moves quickly and by the time I got to the front counter, it was maybe 35 minutes? (I went on a Thursday night) I have to give tremendous kudos to the staff who put some good thought on the lineup, and having sufficient amount of staff to help direct traffic and not have chaos ensue at the location. Even though there were a lot of ppl inside, there were clear direction on where to go, so you retained your position in the queue. There was no bumping and shoving, so big plus for the staff! (I hope you're reading this) Now the food. I ordered, some chickenjoy, spaghetti, peach mango pie, a yum burger and a pineapple refresher (I didn't eat this all in one go...) As for someone who isn't pinoy, and doesn't have the nostalgia factor going for them, I still think that the food all around is very good. One of my favourite food items is probably fried chicken but I've always found the fried chicken from places like KFC and Popeyes, salty AF. Jollibee's chickenjoy has a nice crunchy exterior, juicy chicken on the inside and you don't like you've ingested a day's worth of sodium. Also the gravy, again, not too salty but flavourful enough that it complements wells with the chicken (and heck you could eat that with rice too). I've had filipino spaghetti in the past so I know that it's supposed to be sweet, but if you've never had filipino spaghetti and are only used to the Italian kind, I will warn you. It's sweet and it has hot dogs in it. If you're a spaghetti purist, you'll probably hate this. If you don't mind, then it's great! Had the yum burger, not a fan. The sauce in between the burger is weird and reminds me of a tuna sandwich. I don't hate it, but I don't think I'd order it again. Pineapple refresher really just taste like Dole Pineapple juice, but I love pineapples so I can drink that every day. Finally that addictive peach mango pie, crispy exterior with a ooey gooey filling of peach/mango. Though I will say, it's really hard to identify what's mango and...what's peach (can't really say if that's a negative, because it's still delicious). Overall, I'm just happy that this franchise has finally made its way into Ontario because it's been long overdue. read more

Picked up some lunch here recently, second time here. It was very busy, as lineups was basically to the doors. But their system seems to work well, with one person taking orders near the front of the line before you even get to the counter. Got some chicken, palabok, and pineapple juice which the kids love. The palabok was ok too. My opinion is pretty much the same as the first time. The chicken comes out very nice and crispy, as advertised. But I find it is really lacking in flavor. Popeyes suck when they give you chicken that has been sitting there for a while, and everyone probably encounters that every so often. But I still think Popeyes is #1 for fried chicken. read more

Having been to the Scarborough location I decided to try the Mississauga location as well. It's really good food wise as you have seafood City in close proximity along with Valerios, Crispy Town and Grill City. Onto the review. I got the palabok and the spaghetti meal along with the peach mango pies. The peach pies were as delicious as the first time .The spaghetti was fresh , tasty and not rubbery and I'd definitely try it again. As for the palabok it was really good with the meat and the sauce complementing each other . Each mouthful was filled with enjoyment. I will return many more times as this location is closer to me than the other one. For an opening day Jollibee has done an excellent job and everything was run effectively. THIS MAKES ME REALLY HAPPY! I've tried Jollibee at the other Scarb location (still had to wait about 30mins which isn't that bad) Love their chicken joy. I ordered a 3 piece spicy chicken combo with a side of buttered corn, kids meal spaghetti cause I'm craving, and 2 peach mango pies. Everything I got is my all time fav. Buy a lot of the pies just to stock up LOL good for breakfast. Only downside is the line up.. will probably have to wait hours if you'd wanna go again. read more

We were excited to try Jollibee on our way back to Toronto from a wedding in Hamilton. It was relatively late on a Sunday evening so the restaurant was fortunately pretty empty. Unfortunately, it took us over 20 minutes to get our food once we ordered -- and after looking around, it was clear everyone else there was waiting at least that long for their food as well. Then buzzers started going off on every table, and everyone's food (including ours) was ready all at once. Okay. We ordered the fried chicken and a yum burger. I can swear I ordered the fried chicken "spicy", but the dominant flavour was oil. The yum burger was fine but more about the mayo / sauce than the burger. I'm happy I tried it but I wouldn't go back. I'm glad it gives the Filipino community here a feeling of home but I have no such nostalgic bias for the place. read more

I went around 6pm Thursday. It was quite busy but the staff were very helpful. Well organized. They were very quick and efficient. I would say that this branch is better than Scarborough. read more
