My 5 year old daughter saw Dr. Dubiel. She needed her cast removed and had to be forcibly held…read moredown as he cut her cast off. She was screaming bloody murder because he was cutting all the way through the cast and into her skin with the saw. She was cut by the blade 10 times. The cuts are 0.5 to 2.5 inches long and several are quite deep. My daughter is now terrified of doctors and I can't even sleep at night knowing I took her there.

I was told to bring in my X-rays I had done so he could compare them to what he was supposed to do and wouldn't do it. He told me my shoulder should be stretched until I cried and that my other one looked the same. But I can move the other one without issue and without pain. So no, not actually true! I've been dealing with shoulder pain for 5 months and he's just making me wait too long to get answers I need. I don't appreciate doctors who try to give you the run around. Don't recommend this office at all for Dr. McDermott. I had already waited 6 weeks to see him and should have had a mri done while waiting to see him so now I would know my answers I needed. So now I have to wait another month to figure out what the problem is. He's not helpful! Getting refered to someone else because I don't trust this guy. He's terrible!

Dr. Noud and MOC were recommended by my PCP. My problem was left shoulder pain caused by a worn…read moreout shoulder that had become bone on bone. After meeting with Dr. Noud and his PA Dan, I opted to have reverse shoulder replacement surgery (RSRS) based on Dr. Noud's confidence and experience with RSRS. He went as far as to say, "you'll be back on the golf course in six months." My husband and I thoroughly read through the pre-op/post-op instructions, (I watched the RSR live video) and read the info about MOC's Triage center in the event I should have issues post surgery. My surgery was in 3/24. I saw Dr. Noud just prior to the surgery and then not again for six weeks. He did call my husband right after surgery to explain that a bolt/screw had broken off during surgery, rare, but he was able to remove the screw head and all should be well because it was just an extra precautionary screw. Three days after surgery, I broke out in a horrific rash that felt like it my skin was on fire. I called the triage center; I had to leave a message for a call back. When I didn't hear back, I called again and I sent pictures to triage of the rash. I got a call from someone who couldn't help me, so I insisted I get a call back from PA Dan. By this time I had stopped taking all of the meds including pain relievers because I was convinced it was a drug interaction. Ice being my only form of pain relief. Finally Dan called me back, he said, "I'm sorry I didn't call you back sooner, I have no excuse!" I explained my situation and then listened while Dan vacillated over whether to call in antibiotic and a cortisone meds. He was concerned the meds could interfere with the healing process, but in the end he called in both prescriptions. I did pick up the medications, but I never took them; Dan wasn't confident prescribing them, so I wasn't comfortable taking them. My husband and I met with Dan two weeks post surgery, were again I got an apology. I pointed out that had that rash been a staph infection, the outcome could have been a lot worse. We talked about the broken bolt and Dan did his best to explain the why & where of the breakage. We asked what was the chance of it coming loose or causing problems down the road, he said 1 in 20,000. At six weeks post-op, I was able to see Dr. Noud for the first time since my surgery. Prior to him coming in the room, he sent in a nurse, who proceeded to defend Dan the PA. Next was a surgical intern who I'm pretty sure was gaging how upset I was before Noud came in the room. The first words out of Noud's mouth were, "we aren't perfect, but did you expect us to walk out of surgery on another patient, just to call you back?" I said I expected no such thing, but I did expect quality post-op care that the info packet touted in terms of their "triage center." I also expected more confidence from Dan when dealing with the rash. Noud, proceeded to defend PA Dan, but realized that all of my concerns were indeed valid. My continued post appts went smoother, my range of motion has improved impressively. But here we are at six month post. I'm still having pain in the shoulder, and now I'm getting some tingling & numbness in that hand. I pinpointed up in the shoulder where I can feel the pain. Noud said my X-rays look great, maybe I now have carpel tunnel, either from a separate issue or possibly from the surgery since they do stretch the muscles to accommodate the implant. He said "nobody ever promised you a perfect shoulder after the replacement." He doesn't know if the numbness & tingling will ever get better or if it can get worse. He's willing to send me to a hand specialist to see if carpel tunnel is the problem, otherwise it could be in my neck. So after six months, I'm not back on the golf course, I have tingling & numbness in my hand that I get to decide if I want to pursue with a hand or neck doc. In conclusion; I was not impressed with the large clinic attmosphere, waiting in line to check in; it feels like take a number and borderline socialized medicine. The triage center is just a call center for taking messages. More than anything, I'm disheartened with the unwillingness to take responsibility for oversights, poor or no communication, and attempting to put blame on the patient instead of owning up to flaws within the institution, but mostly with being dismissed with an air of indifference. I regret my decision to have surgery through MOC, I have to own that, and now I have to decide how to deal with the with numbness & tingling. Suffice it to say, I won't be having anymore surgical procedures through MOC or Dr. Noud. If you choose to have a procedure at this center, I encourage you to get two other opinions. Ensure you get a comprehensive explanation of not only the actual surgery, but step by step of what you can expect throughout the healing process. But most importantly how it will be dealt with. Best Wishes in whatever you decide to do. LJ, East Lansing

If I could leave a negative review I would. RUN do not walk away from this doctor. After breaking…read moremy arm and and dealing with Dan the PA, who is as bad has Dr. NOUD, I was having a lot of problems. Dr. Noud said to me after requesting him to order a MRI, he turns to me an says " I don't need to order an MRI I know exactly what is wrong with your arm". I got an MRI ordered by family doctor. Dr. Patrick Noud could not have been more wrong in my diagnosis. I did not request any pain meds, just a simple MRI. He fails his patients in refusing to listen to them and also what other medical professionals are reporting, Physical Therapy. Now I am looking at extensive repair surgery. So put your running shoes on and get out of there.
