Think more than twice about to going to Jolly Washer for a car wash. I had not been for months but decided to give it another try due to it's convenience. Bought the Premium Car Wash for a thorough, trunk vacuuming cleaning. Granted, today was busy, so it took about 25 minutes in the cue, but once in the stall for the final vacuum, dry, clean mats, etc. it was about 7 minutes flat. Not nearly enough time to thoroughly clean a car. Getting into my car I saw that the rims were still dirty, but I thought "oh well" a small thing. However, when I got home, my wheel wells were still as dirty as before my car wash, back end was dusty, trunk not vacuumed, dripping dirty water along bottom of car and a chance that my driver's window was scratched, but can't say for definite. I called and spoke w/ the manager, Michael, and he offered to wash the car again. Hello!?? How about a refund. He wouldn't give it and said that they are working at properly training his crew. Who wants to be the guinea pig? A fair warning for people who car about their cars. Truly unfortunate. read more

I've been to the Jolly Washer a few times driving a few different vehicles over the years... I prefer to drive to the place in Cotati because they're less expensive, have a rewards program, and just do an all around better job but when I can't make it out on Sonoma I go to the Jolly Washer. Today I took our truck there and got the premium wash for like $28. Let me start by saying they took FOREVER. I was literally there for an hour and they only had 4 or 5 people working in total. There were only two cars in front of me at the beginning but there was a severe bottle neck at the end when they clean the inside of the car. After 55 minutes (from start to finish) I got into the truck and noticed SEVERAL large spots they completely missed. The dash still had dust on it, there was mud left on the inside of the door, streaks all over, and water spots on the windshield. Slow, over priced, and a poor quality of work ensures I'll never give them my money again! read more

I've been going to this place for a few years and it has gone downhill in the past couple of years. I'd guess they employ "disposable" people who only work for them for a couple of weeks and have interest or incentive to do a good job. I got the $29 premium wash earlier this week and the entire rear of the car was not washed properly or wiped dry. The windshield and windows had streaks and the front and wing mirrors still covered with dead bugs. I pointed these issues to the worker and he seemed disinterested. For the $$ they charge for their best car wash, I would think they could wash the top of my Yukon. Get a ladder if necessary. The last wash, they even forgot to wipe down dash... Drove home noticing dust all across dash. Really? And...... Gas pumps, when using visa, have shut off at $42, $53, and now $66.... So, Have to start all over. Takes $100 plus to fill tank. Went there today despite the reviews here. It was a Thursday afternoon and not busy, so received very good service. Both the car wash and the interior vacuuming were excellent. I plan on returning. read more

Very expensive. I would expect perfection. Almost was except the forgot to vacuum the very dirty back of my station wagon. Spoiled an otherwise 5 star. Also noticed several spots that were not dusted on the dash. Expected better! read more

Absolutely the worst car wash I've ever been to. I've gone 3 times now and each time it seems to get worse. Today not only is my car still dirty inside and out ($29 "premium" wash) but they broke my rear view mirror while pretending to clean the interior of my car. It's so obvious that no one working there gives a shit and it shows in the end result. Never again read more

Great service. Courteous. Best to go when it's fully staffed towards the middle of the day. Two fellows in front, the monster bristles and tentacles in the middle, and two fellows hand-wipe at the back for a regular wash. Closed during the rainy season. Useful note! The expiration date on your gas receipt gives you a month, but actually you have two months in which to use the car wash. Wish there were more locations. Highly recommend. read more

The only full-service carwash in Sonoma. I drive a black Mercedes and like to keep it pretty immaculate so every 4-5 days I fill it and wash it. They never have done too good of a job but since they're the only full-service place in town I've tolerated it. Last time they broke my trunk release button. I asked for the manager and as I waited I called a couple of places for estimates. The manager came out and immediately began to yell at me in broken English telling me how rude I was to get an estimate. I later called the regional manager Bill who called back the next day and asked that I meet the owner at the carwash the next morning. I met with the owner who clearly let me know (while yelling at me) "I don't care how much you come here or if you ever come here again! You want to sue me?!!!" This just strikes me as unbelievable. I was never rude, always a gentleman and have been a very good customer for a very long time. I would never treat any of my clients like this. I host a local radio show and have a lot (and I mean A LOT) of friends in this town. My advice is to STAY AWAY FROM THIS HORRIBLE CARWASH AND WAIT UNTIL YOU ARE IN NOVATO OR NAPA TO HAVE YOUR CAR WASHED! Important to mention that they not only own Jolly Washer Car Wash in Sonoma but also own the car wash in Santa Rosa on Mendocino Ave. THEY WILL NOT TAKE REPONSIBILITY WHEN THEY DAMAGE YOUR CAR AND THEY DO NOT CAR AT ALL ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS. read more
