My BBQ was delicious my boyfriend footlong with onions ,chili and cheese he said was alright. The fries was were large enough for him and me to share. The service was fast and quick. The girl that bought our food to us was extremely nice. The outside reminded me of the old drive through when I was a teenager and we had car hops . I will definitely be back here again. read more

Stop by for lunch today to try something new. Place is nothing special, footlong cheese coney, fries and soda but the coney had like no shredded cheese or chili on it. Almost like they are watching food cost way to much, you will get more loading on a small coney cross the street from gold star. Soda comes in a small over thick glass mug and gone in two sips, service well once food is drop off good luck even took 15 min to even get the window tray picked up after hitting the button multi times and it was far from busy. Been coming here my whole life and I am currently here but the servers was standing around i waited 10 min before they took my order

I'm not sure why they opened so early this year. It was still cold out. They close for winter, so I was confused that they'd open while it's still winter. I stopped today and for the first time at this location the food wasn't good. I got some footlongs with everything, light mustard. There wasn't enough chili to taste it, and plenty of mustard and cheese. Didn't taste the onions either. I took the uneaten footlong in and told them and they remade it and it was great. Still a 5 star place. Just make sure you tell them if something isn't right. I'm still confused why they bothered closing if they were going to open so early. Either way, I'm just glad I can eat there again. It has been a long winter. read more

This was my first time at Jolly's. It's a Hamilton staple and I have failed till now to try it. It was delicious. It's an old school drive in root beer stand. I always love these; amazing food with fun nostalgia. And Jolly's is a legit old school drive in with an 80 year history. I got a Chili Cheese Footlong without Onions. It was very good, a little heavy on the mustard to the point it over powered the chili so I will get it without mustard next time. The French Fries are out of this world. Cooked and salted perfectly. The onion rings are just as amazing. Perfectly crunchy outside a delicious sweet onion on the inside. The Root Beer like all Root Beer stands was absolutely delicious. It was hard to drink it slowly. Also if you make a trip to Jolly's you MUST get a bag of their popcorn! It's better than movie theater popcorn!! It's super buttery and the perfect amount of salt. Why? Just, why? A order that is so simple, yet like usual, it's a surprise whats in your box! we would have had the food at the drive in, but it was brought in a to go box, which was ok- being a few blocks away and eating at home. yet the order isn't right. Single hamburger- yet has cheese. (No you can't possibly pick it off and no I can't eat it) A double cheeseburger - yet wasn't a double. *this person likes the cheese part, but still, order was wrong. Drinks- were slightly cooler then room temp, and no ice. The fries were correct. And the BBQ was correct. I should know better, but I think after 70 years, doing better with an easy order should be the bare minimum expectation with a short well known menu. This concludes my yearly Jollys visit. Came here today with a friend for a quick bite and a root beer. It's your typical "drive-in" that's lasted from the days of yesteryear. I went with a home made root beer and a hot dog with everything - mustard, chili, onions, and cheese. I wasn't sure what to expect but the hot dog was very flavorful! All the flavor profiles complemented one another nicely, to the point where I wished I had ordered 2 and not the 1. The root beer was a bit too sweet for me, but good. I'd probably go with smaller portion next time - because I will be back! read more

My daughter is a huge fan of the chili cheese hot dogs, and so am I! Good French fries, onion rings, and funnel cake fries. Really miss the Apple fritters most of all. They were like mini apple pies. read more

Their burgers and fries are just average, but they have amazing onion rings! It's worth the stop if you're in the Hamilton area. Great chili dog and root-beer stand. Root-beer is made in house. Pull-up and order to go or eat there and have the food delivered by a car hop. Chili is classic bean and beef but it's the freshly grated cheddar cheese that makes the food here. Only open during the summer months, worth checking out if you are in town. read more

Jolly's on the West Side of Hamilton has terrific Chili and A&W root beer. Be sure to try a footlong and have a Brown Cow. Eating at a drive-in diner is a cool experience, too. You can't get better than this chili. Wish it was open all year! read more

I stopped her in the early evening hours with a friend of mine. I ordered a Root Beer, a Foot Long with everything and an order of Fries. Car Hop brought our food out and i paid and she left. The foot long bun was hard on both ends like it had been sitting out for a long time. This ruins the sandwich in itself as when the bun is not soft as it should be, it makes the rest just terrible. Oh well i thought, i will eat the fries and i picked one up and it was ice cold to the touch, i mean it wasn't luke warm, i could have handled that, but the Fries were ICE COLD. I barely ate anything and when the Car Hop came to pick up the tray i told her about the bun and the Fries being cold and asked her if i could at least get a refund on the Fries. She left and sent a Manager out and i told the Manager what had happened. The Manager then told me, "Sorry, but we don't refund money for anything"! I can give you a free order of Fries though. Now why in the world would i want another order of Fries when i couldn't even eat the stale hot dog bun and you don't refund money for anything even though you served a Customer stale lousy food? I told the Manager never mind and that i wouldn't be back. The thing is, i have talked to many people who are making the same complaints about Jolly's food at both locations in Hamilton. Cold bland food that sits for hours. Save your money and go to Skyline or Gold Star if you want a good hot dog and even if it isn't good at these other places, at least they will give you a refund if they mess up!! read more

Always been one of my favorite places to eat! The foot long chili dog and mug of root-beer! You really feel like you're in Hamilton haha, but it's nice to have a different kind of 'semi' fast food. The whole eating in your car and having a tray sit on your window, it's different, but gives character. read more

I love the footlong and the brown cow. I just wish they would add a few more things to the menu, especially kid menu items (i.e. chicken fingers, chicken nuggets, corn dogs).
