I generally prefer to be very positive in my reviews but unfortunately this time I have to make an exception. We've been coming to this location generally as road trip food when we travel north. Unfortunately I have to say it has lost it's spot for travel stop for us. The store just looked very dirty and not well tended. I understand that some of the restaurant was closed off due to someone crashing into one of the walls which isn't the restaurants fault but the rest of the restaurant being filthy definitely is. The Coca Cola Freestyle machine was mostly non functioning with no diet soda options which is a HUGE problem for a diabetic like myself. For my food I got a Chicken Nugget combo meal that came with curly fries. Now the Curly Fries I have to give them credit for as I think they have more flavour and are overall better than Arby's version. Unfortunately I can't say the same for their chicken nuggets. They were very small, had no flavour, and were very soggy and disappointing. I do remember the burgers are pretty good and some of their breakfast offerings are decent but there's not enough good things happening at this JITB to ever recommend coming here. read more

Jack in the box is fairly consistent everywhere we go and it was no different here. It usually comes down to service. I was in by myself with four grandkids (I know, ambitious) but I kept them corralled and most things went ok. A few items were missed on our order and like many small kids two did not want any sauces, pickles or tomato, just the meat and bread. That annoyed the clerk and she rolled her eyes at the kids. They asked later what thy did wrong which was nothing, order it however you like it. But they got that wrong so I'm trying to watch our table and the grandkids, waiting at the counter to get what we ordered while they openly grumbled about it. One said just wipe it all off. Well you really can't do that and if you know picky eaters any remains of the sauces on the bread and those kids might throw a fit. Thankfully I have great grandkids and they were very patient. As I'm asking the kids to be careful and not spill anything I do just that and dump a large drink across our table! Duh! We quickly scramble to grab as many napkins as I can and clean up our own mess. The three teens working the counter (with no customers to care for) just watched us, it was a big mess, and it was my fault. But they did not offer so much as a paper towel, so we went through an entire container of napkins trying our best to clean it up while laughing at ourselves. Our food was fine and and the kids were happy and we left the place cleaner than we started but getting attitude several times from the staff was off-putting and spoiled the lunch for the kids who kept asking why they were acting like that. Some people just have bad manners and are poorly taught how to treat people, these people should not be in service jobs facing the public. read more

My boyfriend and I had never been here before so we decided to try it. We were coming back from a concert in Cincinnati and it was one of the only things open. Right off the express it was easy to get there and back on the road. The service was friendly and relatively fast considering it was pretty busy at midnight on a Sunday. The junior burger was like a step up from White Castle, they put mustard on it after I said not to but left the cheese off so I was happy with that. Still a really good burger though and did the trick. The fries are a mix between Arby's and rally's fries but better than both combined in my opinion! It may be since we came in NOT during rush hour, but I do not agree with the low ratings here. Got the double smash bacon burger and for fast food I'd say it's 9/10. It came out fresh, and was nice and greasy like a smash burger should be. The fountain coke was bad, probably low on syrup. The root beer was great tho. I stopped here early in the morning on a Saturday after the Reds opening day and placed an order for around $80 to bring back up to NE Ohio with me. There were 4 girls working. Two cooks, an order taker and the manager. The manager didn't help them at all. She sat on her butt in a booth looking out the window, texting, & talking on the phone while they were trying to take drive thru orders, walk ins and complete my order. My order was perfect so I guess they didn't need her anyways. It made me mad to see the manager sitting there not managing anything but her cell phone while the other three were busting their ass. We were making the drive from Knoxville back to the Detroit area (aka, 75 all the way up) and decided to stop here for a quick dinner, as neither of us had been to a Jack in the Box before. The best way to describe the menu is McDonald's meets Panda Express meets Del Taco - they have tacos, burgers, and a few Asian dishes on the menu. I was trying to be "good" so I got the chicken teriyaki bowl combo, with comes with an egg roll. My boyfriend got the Spicy Sriracha burger combo with fries. You can upgrade to curly fries for 30 cents more, also. He liked his burger a lot, and I tried some of the fries and they were tasty. The teriyaki bowl was okay ... definitely not PF Changs or even Pei Wei quality. The egg roll was tasty. We don't have Jack in the Box in Detroit, which is why we wanted to try it (though apparently we did in the 80s??). Overall it was fine but not a place I need to frequent. read more

Traveling up i75 to Detroit from Atlanta, there's a point in time during the drive to want to stop for a bit. To let the car engine tick itself cool. Get some fuel and ultimately some sustenance. So as the gas guage pointer approached the 1/4 mark. We play the, do you fancy any of the restaurants posted on the sign game. And yes!! Jack in the Box it is. Plus we don't have one in Detroit. I heard there was one but it was short lived. Anyways, the food!! Number 8 for me and the garlic herb fries. The Sriracha burger is actually pretty good. Nice flavor of the Sriracha does come through nicely. Then there's the herb garlic fries,, which was a bit on the greasy side. But the flavors were actually pretty good. Anyways, the staff was great. Very welcoming and friendly. The dining area was nice and we'll kept. They even bring the food out to you which is really nice. I've been to 3 different Jack in the Box stores in Indianapolis, as well as a number of them in the west, including San Diego and the LA/OC area. JiTB is a half-step above McDonald's with some good alternatives. I was curious to see how this one was doing in the West Chester area. Since I was headed to Loveland today, I stopped. The first thing I noticed was that the parking lot wasn't some mess, as two in Indianapolis are. The layout was much the same, as the other recent stores, although I don't recall seeing an area for outdoor seating. It was almost squeezed into that lot. After maybe 15 seconds, a dear, friendly woman greeted me, and made me feel that she wanted to take my order. It felt almost like a family-owned restaurant. She took my order, told me to display the number, and asked me to make sure to return again. It was really pleasant. I went to get my drink and there was a shallow puddle and further down by the counter/tables just inside from the drive-thru lane was a warning cone. That seemed odd. I filled my cup with tea and it was good. It wasn't too long and the team leader brought my food. He was friendly. What is this? Where did they find all these friendly people? We talked for a bit and he mentioned work and went and got a mop to take care of the spill. Wait, friendly and attentive? Isn't that against the fast-food-workers' rules? After all we talked, the junior bacon cheeseburger was still quite warm--warmer than fresh at any of the Indianapolis stores. Something is wrong here that the food was correct and good. My 2 tacos for $0.99 were good also, not too greasy. Was this an alternate universe? The puddle was a small issue, and some person didn't know how to lift the toilet seat, so I had to do some cleanup first, but they would have spotted that in their hourly inspection. I was going to say something but the counter person was away from the register at that moment. In any case, I was shocked. This may be the best service I've had at any JiTB anywhere, including stores in California. Update 2013.09.06: I've changed this from 5 stars to 2. Each visit seems to be difficult. Instead of the best in the country, it's not quite as good as those in California, which weren't all that great anyway. I happened to talk to an employee, who like me moved to this area from California, and she was rather upset at how things have become. She said that the district manager has been replaced 3 times and that the managers have been replaced multiple times, and that they're understaffed. Apparently, people just don't want to work, which explains my recent breakfast visit. Initially, I was getting hot food (better than most JiTB stores) but now, the food is often room temperature. The employees seem more inclined to talk than to work. read more

I'm not really giving this a star, it's just what you've got to do to make the post. I'm not sure what's going on here. We sat for 10 minutes waiting for the girl to take the order. She finally says, can I take your order, while talking to someone else inside, on the speaker. We ordered the late night eats which was hugely displayed on the board. After hearing the conversation, we're ask, are you there, did you get that first order. She says, no. We're order it again. She says we discontinued that. We asked if any of the other late night options were available. She said, no. We're asked if all other sandwiches were available. She said, yes. With the whole ordeal. We drove off, afraid of what we might get if we're stayed. At the other location no one ever shows up whenever we've arrived at night. This place is extremely sketchy. Our first time. My son and I both had the double jack with fries. The burgers were cooked properly, the vegetables were fresh and crisp, overall very good burger. Also take their hours with a grain of salt, because I've been here twice on regular weekday hours and I've struck out three times now. Guess they open up on weekends only these days. Waited in drive thru for 25min for 4 tacos. I should have left but once you've waited a while you feel to committed to leave. I also waited 3min at the speaker before even being acknowledged. They man taking orders and working the window spoke very sluggish and rudely. He obviously hates his job. I felt like an inconvenience to him. At the window I asked for extra taco sauce. He said there was some in the bag. But I asked for a few more. He very rudely told me there was plenty in the bag. I waited 25min for 4 tacos!! Just give me a few more packs. When I got home there where 4 sauces in the bag. I wouldn't consider that extra. They tacos where fresh and hot but the wait time, rudeness and lack of enough sauce ruined it for me. I had the day off and decided to make a trip out to Jack In The Box. The Good: The Root Beer soda I had out of the machine, can't really mess that up. The Bad: The older lady that took our order kinda didn't like me ordering a sandwich plain with cheese, and a chicken sandwich minus the sauce. Guess it was 4 extra buttons to press, The Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger was not so "Ultimate" the bacon was not fresh at all it had to have been sitting for at least 1 hour. The burger itself was ok typical fast food burger, the curly fries were so greasy I couldn't finish them and the chicken sandwich that was ordered was not that good at all. Both of our stomach's was hurting no later than 15 minutes after eating this meal. It's been 8 hrs and my stomach is still in knots. All in all Jack In The Box is fast food and your results will vary from visit to visit just like any other place which we all have had good and bad experiences I'm sure. I probably will not be going back but I encourage everyone to at least try it once and see what happens. read more

Jack in the box is really good the hamburgers and cheese burger normally consist of a top and bottom buns that are coted with eggs the that means the buns are a bit more dense. on the burgers you have beef patties that have the similarity to Wendy's patties, there pickles, lettuce, tomatoes, chopped union, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise. All these ingredients blend very well together becasue I dont like mustard but I didnt did it on the Burger. The part that wasent enjoyable was the normal fries they have a wierd coting on them and they leave a bit of and after taste but its not that bad. The overall experience was good, if you have a jack in the box I would recommend trying it out. read more

Sunday July 6th 2014 was my first Jack in the Box experience. I noticed it on a trip to Kings Island Amusement Park, I live in the Dayton area, but have business down I-75 all the time, I knew immediately I was going their ASAP. #1) I really really really like those dang tacos! The Nacho Monster and the regular monster were so tasty I may never go to Taco Bell again. I also had one of the value menu Cheeseburgers, just plain with nothing else. It wasn't bad, better than the cheap from McDonalds or Burger King. but nothing remarkable. I had the 3 pack of stuffed jalapenos, these were tasty but expensive, I could have had nearly 6 of the small tacos for the same price. $2.69 i think they were. I actually then purchased 5 orders of the double tacos for home. "5 bucks for 10 tacos, you have got to be kidding me?", The old lady liked them too, we just popped them in the oven for 4 or 5 minutes, and they were good for a midnight snack. My only problem was this: It was not overly busy, light business really, it took 17 long and lonely minutes to get my Jalapenos, 2 tacos, and 1 burger. Other people were grumbling about it too. One couple said they would not be back, the other couple next to me had to get up and send their order back twice, I was worried I won't lie, would I be back? Well those tacos were so tasty and the burger not bad, I'll be back for sure, still a lot of stuff to try, but they better tighten up on the wait times. read more

I love the fried tacos 2/.99. If you like mini taco appetizers you'll love these. I stop everytime i pass on my way to Florida on average once a month. Recently I've been making every two to three-week visit. I have always had great service. The evening staff are very friendly and nice. The guy working the register is barely audible and acted like he hated life and all living things. If anyone can ever make him smile I would think it is a miracle. There's an automated order kiosk, but the lady at the counter was much more charming. I ordered a Jumbo Jack combo and two tacos. The food was quickly delivered to my table. Normally, I try not to write reviews for fast food places. The only two I can think of are for the first ever KFC in Corbin Kentucky, and a Taco Bell/KFC/Gas Station on the way to Nashville that still has CHILI CHEESE BURRITOS!! The reason why I'm reviewing this Jack in the Box, is because they have a self ordering kiosk, that lets you pick, customize, and pay for your order. The thing even did a great job of up selling us. Yes, Jack in the Box machine, I do want to spend fifty cents on a side of sour cream! Somewhere between ordering the food from the fancy computer, and a person bringing the food out to us, our order did get messed up. Do not ever eat at THIS Jack In The Box. Others are fine, but not this one. For starters, half the time I get burgers from here, the buns are burnt. The fries are almost always stale, like they're hours old. The Tacos seem to usually be ok for half a dollar each, but have a tendency to have stale parts on the outer shell. Everything always seems like it has been reheated over and over. Despite all that, since it's Jack In The Box, my favorite fast food, I WOULD still give it 3 stars, except for one thing. Almost EVERY time I have gotten food from here, I have gotten some form of food poisoning or VIOLENT pukes. And it's not just one item, because each time I try to change my order. Poorly run store! There were 3 people working and they were slammed. Waited a good 15 minutes to order my food and I was the only person standing in front of the register. Workers were clearly frustrated and overwhelmed. No one said a single word to me for the entire 15 minutes I stood there. No idea why I stayed that long waiting, was just surprised and seeing how this horrendous service played out. Two large groups of people and one single person came in at different times behind me and all left without ordering. 2 orders were wrong as I waited, 1 person didn't get a burger they ordered the other got the wrong burger. After standing there watching one man work drive thru, cash register, and front lobby by himself for 15 plus minutes he finally took my order. He seemed very down and depressed probably just frustrated and overworked! I literally didn't even order all of what we wanted because I didn't want to give them the extra work of making tacos versus what they were already cranking out ( burgers, chicken, fries)! Watched as different workers would disappear to the back for 3-5 minutes at a time leaving their stations unmanned. They may have just been getting food from freezers not sure but the girl making burgers left from making burgers at least twice and came back with nothing. All in all I literally waited just shy of 40 MINUTES for my fast food!! And the beef burger is TRASH tasted like the "mixed meat & soy" patties they use to serve us in high school!! YUK! These issues are definitely on management! They need to hire more workers and schedule the appropriate amount of staff to work each shift!! Do NOT go to this location during late-night hours!! Clearly the staff that works these hours couldn't get a job anywhere else. The black gentleman at the register can barely speak. Our recent party of 4 ordered, sat down and waited. and waited. and waited. A large group of drunk young ladies piled out of a limo outside the door, came inside to order food to go. There were at least 8 of them, being loud and rowdy. ALL 8 proceeded to be given their food (actually one of them was given MY food) and left, as we continued to wait. After 30 minutes we approached the register and was told we could get our money back. I'm really a fan of this Jack in the Box. I've tried a large variety of things on their menu and I think everything is good from the burgers, the curly fries, and my new favorite is the meaty burrito. It's truly a great value, and they're fairly quick and have been accurate for the most part, we've had a few mess ups but they fixed them without any hassle. I think their inside of their restaurant is clean and tidy, their drive thru the several times I've been through has been speedy and efficient. The only thing I dislike is their busy location, they're the first place off the highway on the right on a busy street. Unless you're there when traffic is dead good luck getting out of the restaurant. But if my only complaint is getting out of the restaurant then who cares, go in and stay a while. 24/7 breakfast is always a good thing. read more

After 2weeks, thought we would check out JACK IN THE BOX... waste of time and money. Nothing special. Tasted like pre-cooked Drive In Hamburgers & Fries (dried out) - hamburger/sirloin burger kind of mushy with no real taste; french fries were shoestring and hard. My daughter had a hard time eating hers. Son got a chicken sandwich - which looked like a school lunch chicken; 4 of us to eat $32.00. Which will be the last $32.00 they ever get from me! My wife, they got her hamburger wrong three times and brought a new one each time - each time wrong. Geez! read more
