Combo with Mac and cheese, kale, and jerk falafels

Great and tasty vegan food ! The combo for 3 is a great deal ($12) and the flavors are amazing. Loved the Mac and cheese flavored with Turmeric, the jerk falafels were greatly spicy and the kale was good.

Definitely coming back to this place. Tried it out because my friend is vegan. Let me clear, I am a newbie to trying vegan food. You should have zero expectations and not compare the food to whatever original dish it is trying to emulate because you will disappoint yourself. It will not likely taste like the classic dish, but it should still be delicious. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak sandwich. Did it taste like a cheesesteak? No. Was it damn delicious? YES! They also have smoothies, desserts, and what kind of looks like Jamaican beef patties, but of course, no beef, but lots of variety of fillings. I want to come back to try the curried chickpea. The fish patty was just ok. Order at the counter and pick a table. No tap water, so bring your water bottle or purchase a beverage. Service was great and the food made me want to come back. The falafel entree has my name all over it..

Beautiful restaurant with amazing decor. There's a lot of street parking as well as a parking lot just up the block. Several tables to dine in. There's also a nice park across the street. I got there in the evening, so there weren't many options, but what I did get was pretty good. Kale, a pasta dish. ginger vegan chicken and rice. I also bought a mango moss drink and a lentil patty. The next time I'm in the area, I want to get there early because they typically have several options available. They also have all natural health and beauty items. Great atmosphere, and I'm pretty sure it was the owner who assisted me. He was very pleasant.

Impressive vegan restaurant in a casual comfortable setting - there are armchairs and sofas to relax and hang out while you enjoy the delicious vegan food - I tried the buffet - which offers eight or more dishes to choose from. Fresh varied dishes and each one was yummy! Then I had two of the Jamaican patties - chick pea mash and potato . Ideal comfort food - while I was sitting enjoying my meal, they did a brush trade in takeaway with regular customers picking up orders. Will definitely return

Rarely does one get to experience vegan food the way Jolo's does it. Layers of seasoning steeped in cultural undertones that can't be missed. The vibe in store is chill and as Rasta as it gets in New Rochelle. DEFINITELY check out the OG glam school desk as you walk in. HOT TIP: If you stare at the desk for a while in search of schoolhood nuggets of glam, it makes the sometimes extended wait time go by like its nothing.

This place is super yummy! I've been here for dinner a few times - I've tried the vegan chicken nuggets, avocado salad, hummus and wraps and they were all delicious. I love the vibe here too. The music is always relaxing and the staff is friendly. I'll definitely be back again soon.

Visited during our "shelter in place". After a week diet of eating only veggies and no carbs I decided to treat myself. & babyyyy this was the best decision I made all week. The lentil patties are to die for! The krust is amazing! The lentil filling is enjoyable! I also purchased a Spicy Red, Super Green juice and a mango/pineapple smoothie. Compared to other juice shops, their prices are cheaper! Recycling $$ into our community. Supporting local during these trying times

I probably should've taken the pic BEFORE ... I had the curry shrimp, kale and brown rice ... 10/10! The homemade guava and Irish moss drink was delightfully tasty too. Very reasonably priced for a vegan spot!

Rice, ginger chicken, cabbage, mushrooms. All delicious and full of flavor. Brownie was really good too.

Do they have gluten free bread options?

I believe so but ask the owner they are very approachable and humble people.

Is this restaurant open? Or did they close down?

They had 2 locations and the Lawton Ave location is now the primary location. It's right next to the library and has a beautiful art gallery setup!

The property is attached to a loud nightclub, and the noise and smoke travel throughout the building, including upper floors. Despite being advertised as smoke-free, the hallways smelled strongly of weed and cigarettes all night. The room itself was underwhelming. The TV did not work, the shower was poor, and overall maintenance felt neglected. This is not a quiet or family-friendly environment, and it is not suitable for anyone sensitive to smoke or noise. There are much better options nearby. I would strongly recommend staying at the Holiday Inn or Marriott a few minutes away instead.

So a little background on this hotel- it was actually in fact a radison Hotel, but switched names, and also kept some of the same staff. It is now Hotel No Ma. Located in the heart of New Rochelle, NY by the colleges, and by some local businesses to eat at. It is a cozy hotel and even has a restaurant called No Ma Social, where one can get happy hour drinks and food too! At check in, we also get a keychain where one can get a percentage off select menu items. This is also where breakfast is, and it is made to order! Liked that because- if one is in the mood for pancakes, and it is listed on the menu, you got it! Also has a seasonal pool, and fitness center. Easy parking as well, as the lot is big. Friendly staff at check in, and overall. room was ready to be checked in by the time we got there. Room had 2 beds, and a bathroom. Also was very clean and had lots of towels- and shampoo and conditioner too! Beds were comfy to sleep in. Loved the tv too, and watched the parade on it Thanksgiving morning. only con is the bathroom in the room is a little small, and a little hard to walk around in. Oh, and had to figure out how to turn on the shower- but luckily had my parents help on that one. Also, there was no bathroom fan- which-- well for me-- i find the bathroom fans obnoxious and loud, so for me it's good that it didn't have one- but for others who find it too hot after showering, or had to empty out- the fans can be useful. Anyways- overall clean room and was home for a few nights. Also had a fridge and great wifi! Also highly recommend food and drinks at No Ma Social at the lobby- where more pleasant staff was like the bartender Domique! Will write a separate review on that, but highly recommend! Checkout was also pleasant and easy. Also recommend this hotel, as it is comfortable!

From the very beginning, Tom and Tiffany made the entire planning process feel effortless. Wedding planning can be overwhelming, but they were organized, responsive, patient, and genuinely invested in making our vision come to life. Every question was answered, every detail was thought through, and we always felt like we were in the best hands. On the wedding day, Vinston, the Maître D', was nothing short of exceptional. He exceeded every expectation we had. His professionalism, attention to detail, and calm presence allowed us to completely relax and enjoy our day. He handled all of the wedding day coordination flawlessly, making sure everything stayed on schedule while making it look effortless. We never had to worry about a single thing because Vinston was always one step ahead. Every couple deserves someone like him running their wedding. Our bridal attendant, Daniella, was also absolutely amazing. She was constantly by my side making sure I had everything I needed--from bustling my dress, bringing me food and drinks, fixing anything that needed attention, and making sure I actually had a chance to enjoy the day. She made me feel so cared for and truly helped me soak in every moment. The food deserves its own review. We heard over and over from our guests that it was some of the best wedding food they had ever had. The cocktail hour was incredible--not only was the selection endless, but everything was fresh, delicious, and constantly replenished. There was so much variety that guests kept discovering new stations throughout the hour. It was abundant in every sense of the word. Then came dinner, and somehow it was just as impressive. One of the biggest compliments we received all night was that people actually ate every bite of their meals. That's something you don't hear often at weddings! Every entrée was cooked perfectly, portions were generous, and guests were raving about the quality of the food long after the wedding ended. And then there was the after-party. It completely exceeded our expectations. The energy never died, the food was perfect for keeping everyone going, and the room stayed packed until the very end. Since the wedding, we've had countless friends and family tell us it was the party of the year and one of the most fun weddings they've ever attended. People are still talking about it weeks later. VIP Country Club doesn't just host weddings--they create unforgettable experiences. Every single staff member we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely cared about making our day perfect. We felt like royalty from the moment we arrived until the very last guest left. Thank you to Vinston, Daniella, Tom, Tiffany, and the entire VIP Country Club team for giving us memories that we'll cherish forever. We would choose VIP again a thousand times over and cannot recommend them highly enough to any couple looking for a venue that truly goes above and beyond.

It was all tiresome until I found VIP CLUB. I met Tiffany H for a tour and she MADE me FEEL excited and cared for and made me feel actually good about having a big fat wedding. I met Tom later on with my mom to go over the timeline and details and he is fantastic. He KNOWS his stuff, and executed a seamless event where everything flowed perfectly and felt right. I asked for his guidance and opinion on everything, and that was the best move. Vinston was my maître d' and he was SO FUN, I felt so cared for, and my fiancé who is  very opinionated in the best sense, loved him. He felt grateful for such professionalism and efficient service. I felt grateful as a bride to feel so supported. Our attendant Daniella was our GIRL. She had my back and got me everything I needed. I felt so supported. Tom's well wishes during our cocktail hour was also so sweet. As for the party, I DIDN'T EXPECT TO HAVE SO MUCH FUN!!! My guests said: The food was amazing. Cocktail hour was amazing!! Venue was beautifullllll. The party was non stop!! For DJ/MC I used sound active.  Entertainment / performers  was incredible, for this I used BossaNova Entertainment. Beautiful flowers were by Westchester Floral, my guy Danny. My cousins and MIL said it was one of the MOST FUN weddings and best weddings they have been to- that was everything to me. It was worth every penny. Whatever type of wedding you want, whatever vibe or goal, they can make it happen, and your guest will enjoy it. I found them through referrals and for me that is how I find the best and my favorite things in life!!! You can see my husband Christopher and my testimonial video on this Instagram. Thank you VIP CLUB you guys are an INCREDIBLE TEAM. I left there that night as a happy, satisfied, and feeling very loved bride.

He worked really well with us and our wedding planner as well. On our big day, he was very helpful, understanding and eased our nerves with how many unexpected changes that came throughout the day. We were so impressed when we had our taste test it was almost hard to eliminate the options. Definitely go with the steak and fried onions! Also, the salmon with sweet potato was amazing and made me really like mashed sweet potatoes. One thing I was worried about was the smell of the fresh mulch outside during our visits but thankfully, that was not a problem during our actual wedding day! The carpets smelled so bad that I genuinely started feeling dizzy while setting up for my bride. The loading dock is right by the dumpster area, and the smell back there is overwhelming. There was garbage juice trailing from the dumpster area toward the kitchen where they prepare the food, which was honestly shocking to see. The entire area looked neglected and unsanitary. The vendor entrance hallway had two fly traps that were completely covered in dead flies and looked like they hadn't been changed in a very long time. It was disgusting. What bothered me even more than the cleanliness was how the staff treated vendors. We were treated like second-class citizens. I was told I wasn't allowed to use the main bathroom and had to go all the way to the basement instead. I've worked at many venues and have never experienced separate bathrooms based on whether you're a vendor or a guest. I also got lectured for arriving 30 minutes late to set up, even though it had absolutely no impact on the event and the party wasn't starting for another six hours. Despite having plenty of time, we were constantly rushed throughout setup. The entire experience felt unnecessarily hostile and unprofessional. They made sure to remind every vendor exactly where we stood. If you're looking for a similar venue, save yourself the headache and book Greentree Country Club instead. The staff is welcoming and respectful, the venue is spotless, the views are beautiful, and the overall experience is everything Surf's Club should strive to be. I won't be returning to Surf's Club, and based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend it.

There is also a pasta bar available that serves a tomato and a cream sauce with either penne, ravioli, or tortellini options with parmesan cheese. There is a DJ that plays music, a photo booth or red carpet of some kind, an auction that has items for sale including skin care, fashion items, gift baskets, restaurant, and spa certificates. The CLC is also given a spot in the room to showcase the artwork created by the organization's residents. The service and food, on the other hand, were quite a mixed bag. We ordered a margherita pizza, pancake tacos, steak and eggs, and French toast with a side of sausage--the pizza, at least, was good. However, the "French toast" was more like an anemic panini press trying to pass as French toast. The steak and eggs comprised of a fairly well-cooked (that is, it was the right temperature) yet underseasoned steak of a relatively dubious cut, underseasoned home fries, and eggs done wrong (sunny side instead of over easy). The lattermost was the start of the problem, as I was willing to give it a shot, but found the texture off-putting. In light of this, I brought the problem to our server Adalia, who brought it to her manager Elvia. Thankfully I had someone else with me to tell me what happened: Elvia came over without addressing me on their error, silently took a look at my plate and instructed Adalia to have the kitchen put the eggs back on the fire. She takes my plate to extract the eggs, and brings them back (unsurprisingly) completely overdone, first in Elvia's hands, then in Adalia's for her to serve; we send for a refire, and they come back correct 7 minutes or so after I've already finished eating. Considering the hassle it took to get them, I couldn't trust it enough to eat, leading them to waste as well. After all was said and done, the GM Amer comes over to see how things were, and was thankfully helpful and understanding of our situation. Here's the rub: I was initially willing to overlook the steak, the home fries, and even the eggs if the error was properly ameliorated. Adalia and Amer both did very well, and I'm grateful for them for that; Elvia, on the other hand, managed to break the chain of competent customer service by directing the server to handle the problem in a way that was set up for failure (if you mess up an egg, it's an immediate refire because of how the egg cooks in the first place -- Amer also arrested to that policy) all without addressing us and taking accountability, due to negligence or whatever else. Not only that, but when sending the incorrect eggs over the second time, she couldn't even bring it to us herself--it would have been easy, seeing as she was the one that originally had them--and left Adalia and her tip to potentially take the fire if the patrons happen to be angry. Mistakes are fine--everyone makes them--but I'd describe this as cowardly more than anything else, and I take issue with that in particular from a leadership standpoint. While Amer graciously extended an invitation for a better experience next time, I can't say I'll be taking him up on the offer when their service and food are this misaligned; unfortunately, a disappointment overall.
