My husband and I came here one morning. I wanted to get some delicious Jamaican breakfast. We decided to stop here and get ackee and saltfish with dumplings. The food was amazing and very delicious. The bun and cheese were very delicious. Overall the food was very delicious. These were some cons : My husband and I both got a sorrel drink , you can barely taste the ginger . You tasted more sweetness . We both didn't care for it.

Almost ate it all ! curry chicken with rice and cabbage. The drink is ginger beer.

Always straight up amazing. I enjoy the chicken curry or Jerk chicken with rice, black peas and cabbage. I try to always get a fresh fruit juice as it accompanies the dish so well. Today I had a ginger beer. Fill the belly with goodness and your body will thank you !

Are you craving some good Jamaican food? We checked out their White Plains location. The restaurant is casual where most people we saw took food away. The food is precooked and kept hot in a buffet like station by the register where the staff serves you in take out containers. There is an option for each lunch/dinner to order small or large. The small portion is quite large so glad we went with that size. The oxtails were fall off the bone in a delicious brown sauce that the woman spooned all over the rice and peas. The entrees come with two sides. Your choice of Plantains, cabbage, rice & peas and plain white rice. I wasn't very hungry so I ordered the beef patty which was very tasty. I took out a small jerk chicken meal for my daughter. Two pieces of dark meat chicken , rice & peas with 2 plantain pieces. She liked her meal but said it wasn't spicy enough. She likes heat and this jerk didn't have it. Aside from street parking there is an outdoor municipal lot around the corner.

Visited my brother and he suggested this new Jamaican restaurant. We ordered ahead of time before picking up. I honestly always am skeptical about new Jamaican spots from several bad experiences. When you walk in it's super bright and super clean. Your eyes immediately is met with Bob Marley image in dining area along with several other art work along the walls I ordered Oxtails and Curry chicken with rice and peas plantains. The food is AMAZINGG. They also have have several homemade sorrel, fruit punch, lemonade. ***I did not get a pic of my food because it was immediately inhaled Thank you to Victoria and the other staff member that helped with the food. God Bless the chefs. Everyone was so pleasant and happy even though they were closing. I will be back several times. I don't know any Jamaican spots in White Plains at all! Much needed and if you're in the area I highly recommend. Happy Eating!!!!

Everytime time I come to NY, I order from here!! So good! I usually order Uber eats because it's faster! I got caught in the lunch rush one time & it took forever! But the food is soooo good! The portion size is great for the price as well. I do wish it was little more spicer, but I also never asked for extra spice. They may have it. But this is probably my 4th or 5th time having this place!

Authentic Jamaican cuisine cooked daily by Jamaicans with love. You not only get great dishes - for example, the porridge is excellent, get there right when it opens to enjoy this, best paired with a fried dumpling! You know you are in the right place when the Jamaicans in the community flock there at opening for the best eats. Far from just a porridge spot, there isn't a menu item that isn't crafted for your nourishment and enjoyment. Open from 8a-10p almost every day (even God rests on Sunday!), the staff is excellent and responsive. The head chef Calvin puts his "foot" in "everything", so try the breakfast sampler for the best of the morning. The jerk chicken is fresh and tasty, and not too spicy. I myself can only get through a quarter size, but to each his/her own! If you show up early in the morning, the morning crew behind the cash register, led by Stephanie, will take care of you whether eating in or out. Ask for the favorites and you won't be disappointed. Don't skip the juice fridge, some very tasty choices there. You won't need to learn patois to order, but if you are like me, listening into native conversations is fascinating and illuminating. On the wall is a picture of Bob Marley strumming "Redemption Song" for the first time. Ask someone if you can sign "the book" and see what they say. Not only is this a great experience, but the team gets the little things right. Can you use their bathroom? Yes you can! Can you get a real plate and silverware? Yes you can! Can you get teased in true Jamaican style? Yes you can! If you are Cravin' Jamaican, you are in the right place. Day and night, they never cease to deliver.

We ate in the brewery behind the restaurant (there's a cool service window to the back kitchen behind the bar!), and I could not possibly have expected the meal we enjoyed. As I mentioned, the catfish sandwich was lovely, soft fish encased in a light frying batter that was just deliciously spiced. The cornbread is absolutely not to be missed, it is thick and moist. The servings are generous and you will feel fulfilled at the end of your meal. My wife had the honey BBQ wings, and when you get the option, have these baked, not fried. I'm sure the fried wings are lovely, but the baked is cooked so tenderly that the meat was just falling off the bone into the sweet sauce below (which you should dip your cornbread in). Don't forget to ask for some house secret sauce for your food. I'm fairly certain you could put it on anything and it will become even more irresistible than it seems when you first smell the aromas wafting up from your dish. I have two regrets. I didn't take any pictures of my food, and I don't have a second stomach. Get yourself here as soon as you can, bring an empty stomach and an open heart. The staff is so kind and the owner is a joy of a woman that serves up her smile and kindness as much as she serves up a filling meal. I will be making sure to get back here soon so I can explore the menu more.
