We make it a point to go to JoMa's whenever we are in town to visit my folks. My sons and I are from San Gabriel, and I only wish we had a JoMa's down south. I've eaten a lot of ice cream in my life, and this is, by far, the best ice cream I have ever had!! Every flavor we have had over the years has been delicious! This last time, I had two scoops (chocolate mint and vanilla) on a waffle cone, and I savored every bite. I can't wait until we head back up to Murphy's for our next visit. read more

This is the cutest place in the cutest town ever. My boys got razzmatazz raspberry sorbet and my husband and I got rocky road and caramel heath crunch. They were delicious! Loved the interesting flavors!! Then we sat outside in the sun and enjoyed our ice cream. When my 6 year old tripped and broke his cone in half, we walked in and they immediately said "don't worry honey yet we'll you a new one" and they did right away. So nice. I got the Cha cha chocolate, kids got the 'me want cookie', and my wife got the 'peanut chocolate'. All very rich in flavor. The setting is quite quaint as well. Limited seating inside, so on a hot day, outside seating may be the only option. read more

I had the chance to experience this place and let me tell you....don't eat here!!! The waffle cone I got was hard as a rock. When I asked for a new cone I was refused. I asked for my money back but they only gave me the difference of the price of a cup instead of a refund. If you want stale cones go ahead and eat here. I am not going back. Yummy, I love love ice cream. I tried the salted caramel (a little to sweet for me, but tasted really great), chocolate fudge (amazing made with premium chocolate, good amount of fudge pieces), vanilla and oreos (yummy, but needs more chunks of oreos), coffee nut (the best, so darn good) and peanut butter something (yummy, great mix of flavor)... The ice cream is good, but sadly they don't offer toppings at all. We like hot fudge on our ice cream and our son likes sprinkles so we usually go somewhere else if we want sundaes. We live locally and were excited about a specialty ice cream shop. Ice cream flavors are creative and delicious. But, even though it's handmade artisan ice cream, toppings won't ruin the flavor profile. Just our preference for our family. The ordering process usually goes through several people before you get your ice cream, it's a little confusing. read more

I've been to many ice cream parlors but this is probably my favorite that I can remember I've been to. Came in here with 10 in our group and was greeted very nicely when we walked in. Being new into the shop, we took a little longer deciding on which flavor to get but the lady and her helper were more than patient with us. They offered to give out samples we wanted to try. I ended up deciding on two scoops of the lemon snappy on a waffle cone but the lady countered with, "now did you want to try one scoop of lemon and the other black berry?They go really well together." I was a bit hesitant but took her word for it since I assumed she knew what she was talking about hehe. As soon as I bit into it, maaaaaan was she right a thousand percent! It wasn't too sugary or too overpowering of a taste. It was PERFECT. To top it off, we were helped with where to go around the small town and she suggested checking out the world's biggest golden nugget (which we did and it didn't disappoint). I would definitely come back here again whenever I'm in the area. Shoot, my nieces came back a few hours later because they loved it so much. Best part about this place than their ice cream is the customer service. Great hospitality and wonderful service will ALWAYS take you a long ways. Hope to see y'all soon! read more

The staff is friendly and gives samples of ice cream without even being asked. The ice cream is rich and creamy with plenty of flavor. They keep it soft which makes it easy to dip but also makes it quick to melt so if it's a warm day I would recommend a cup or waffle cone over a regular cone. read more

Omg! Found this place after having dinner the other day and it was amazing!! I had the coconut flavor (the best I've ever had) and a chocolate flavor with chocolate chunks in it, equally as amazing! Delicious sorbets!!! I choose to avoid dairy so I'm so grateful for this place and their selection of treats! Hubby gets his ice cream fix, while I'm able to enjoy a treat of my own! We came here every day over our vacation! Only reason for four stars is that the Coffee. Fugde and nuts didn't have any fudge. Great creamy thick natural icecream. Almost like eating Gelato. The baby cup at $3.00 was a perfect size and price for the quality of their ice cream. The servers were friendly and eager to give samples to try. read more

I came here on a recommendation from Tanja at Four Winds. Tanja told me to get the house made waffle cone and she was definitely right. The cone was light, toasty, and crumbly. I sampled vanilla, chocolate and hazelnut, and coffee ice creams. All three were a bit sweeter than I prefer, but the texture was really nice. I wish it had been less awkward to ask for a sample. Could not have been more perfect. From the excellent service at the front of the house to the absolutely perfect ice cream, it was fabulous.
