We have given this Jon Smith Subs location multiple opportunities to share good meals over the course of a couple of years. More than we should have since we have tried to support local business owners. Unfortunately the food quality and service is just subpar more than 75% of the time. This last meal from there, tonight, consisted of a 6" chicken bomb and a 6" classic steak plus large fry. The large fry was pretty much the only part that was edible. The steak meat was cooked as if it was intended to be leather like. The chicken sub tasted like the grill chef had scraped the grill and put the extra scrapings on top of the sub. The one caveat was that the order was at least correct, this time. 7 out of 10 times the order has been wrong. And yes, we still gave them another chance. And another. And another...... At $28 for this meal of two subs and a fry (no drinks as it was carry out) it is just time to move on. Our suggestion for anyone looking to purchase here, would be to look elsewhere. read more

Here in Sandestin for work. Went to this place based on recommendations on Yelp. Several things: 1) hardly anyone was wearing masks in this place; not even the workers or cashier. 2) ordered the steak bomb sub sandwich; took 20 minutes for it come out and it was before the lunch crowd so it was not that busy. 3) the sandwich was ok, wasn't impressed at all 4) their so called "fries" that is suppose to be one of the best and "always served hot" was cold and did not taste good. I would recommend going to jimmy John's or firehouse subs. It's always good to give a second chance, but first impressions are important- I wouldn't come back. My colleagues who also ordered different sandwiches were not impressed either. read more

I know everyone is understaffed. We ordered food at 5:30 pm. We called at 6:30, 7, 7:30 and 8. No answer. If you can't deliver my food, the least you can do is call me and tell me that. Update: 3 hours after we ordered, we got the wrong stuff. I just told the delivery guy "thanks" even though I knew the order was wrong. Just call me and I will make other plans. read more

Excellent all around. Service is fantastic; friendly, attentive, sincere. What I think are the owners are actively involved and seem to genuinely care about their customers experience. I've had about 4-5 different subs and I've enjoyed all of them. I will continue to come back. We stopped here to get sandwiches to take to the beach. They're located in a new strip mall & is very clean & nicely decorated. Service is friendly & prompt. Wonderful! They delivered to my wedding party at the end of the 11am rehearsal at the Hilton Sandestin 2 weeks back! The owner delivered and everything was perfect! The sandwiches homemade cookies gourmet chips and cold drinks. We were so hot and it hit the spot as the bridesmaids ran off to the Spa for hair and make-up appointments. This place smelled delicious as I rode by on a bike while in town for business. Looked at the reviews and based on those recommendations I ordered the Steak bomb. Good to the last bite. The full size sandwich ch is more than enough to feed two people so I would recommend ordering the full and a large fry to split with a friend. I took the other half back to my hotel and ate it two days later and it was still yummy. Fast service considering everything was made fresh and the staff were super nice and accommodating. Both were delicious, the steak bomb was by far my favorite. The young gal at the counter, Sharotte, was very pleasant and patiently explained to us our sub options. This place is great. Staying in Beachwalk Villas and it's a quick golf cart ride or walk. Their subs are huge and fresh. They even serve breakfast sandwiches and got a breakfast burrito the other day and it was delicious. Everything is made to order but worth the wait. read more

The young lady was wonderful, and told us it was no problem. We placed our order, and then my husband picked it up. I have had much better subs than this place. I had the steak bomb. Way overrated. This is supposed to be their signature sub. It's a chopped steak sub with green peppers and onions. The steak was dry and overcooked. The steak should not be chopped. It should be large pieces or 1whole piece.I will go back to try a cold sub.
