We attended a home owners meeting last night in Sandestin and the association hired Stanley's Street Treats to provide the dinner and desert. Stanley's Street Treats was new to us and we were blown away with the quality and taste of the food. We had the Softshell Crab BLT and Creme Brulee. The crab was the best and presented very nicely. The Brulee was a great finish to a wonderful meal and evening with neighbors. Others at our table had the Mrs. Jenny Chicken Sandwich and Stanley's Savory Southern Sliders which they raved about. Phenomenal! Great service and great food! I tried Stanley's for the first time at the MidSouth Food Truck Fest. They were so nice and chatted with us when we waited for our food. They let us know that the person making our food was an actual trained culinary chef. We ordered the softshell crab blt and the gouda Mac n cheese. The sauce on the blt is amazing! It combos really well with the crab. There's not too much bread either. I love me some Mac n cheese so I knew I needed to try it here and I was not disappointed. Truly a master piece! Wonderful people who make even more wonderful food. When I perused the menu prior to an artists event that I knew they would be at, I was immediately drawn to the soft shell crab blt. I had never heard of the combo and couldn't wait to try it. WOW IT DID NOT DISSAPOINT. Fresh, Crispy, with a decadent sauce drizzled ....need I go on? If I could give them 10 stars I would! Everyone that knows me knows Say Cheese has been my food truck since they opened a couple of years ago but this truck has come on the scene now and stolen my food loving heart. I find myself following their Instagram feed each week to see when they will be at the UT health campus and then 1. Hoping it's a day I'm at work and 2. Praying I don't get slammed with patients between the 11-1 slot they're out there. They're a husband and wife team that not only crank out some of the best food in the city but make you feel every time you step up to that window to place your order that you have somehow been welcomed into their home for dinner. You leave here completely fueled to return to your patients, a less hangry nurse. I can't rave enough about them! I only have 2 questions for them. 1. Can you please bottle your comeback sauce to sell (it's life changing amazing) 2. Please, either post the recipe for the coffee creme brûlée or never stop selling it! On my most recent visit to them I ordered the Mrs. Jenny chicken sandwich that was loaded with the most delicious sweet but spicy peppers I've ever had and the comeback sauce that I mentioned above wanting to bottle so I could eat it on EVERYTHING. For my dessert choice it was no question I was going for the coffee creme brûlée because creme brûlée when offered will always be my go to desert. Some people destroy it but that wasn't the case this time. So good, it brought tears to my eyes when I was finished. We don't like their sauce but when we asked for no sauce they were rude and still put it on! She even said, "This isn't Burger King, you can't have it your way." This is the second time we have tried to get our order this way. Too bad they don't care what the customers want. Just got off the phone with her and she tried to convince me why the chef shouldn't have to cook food any other way other than how he wants. I have to say that for food truck SSS offers some pretty tasty food. Today I had the oyster mushrooms sandwich. I was a little disappointed with the portion size for the price ($10.98) but I can't knock the flavors. It was indeed a tasty morsel. Previously I munched oh their soft shell crab sandwich and the wonderful Mac and cheese. It was pretty good for frozen seafood. I tried Stanley's Sweet Treats for the first time today and am already looking forward to having it again! Yum!! I am a vegetarian and there were multiple vegetarian options, which is much appreciated. I had the Veggie OLT and it was fantastic! My sister got the soft shell BLT and she loved hers too! Delicious food and great family owners! We got lucky and Stanley's truck came to our condos while we were on vacation. Our first visit was so good that we made sure to try it a second time when they were back a couple days later. The burger sliders were excellent - perfectly cooked with quality beef and a great seasoning ... not overpowering f but just enough to make the burgers pop. The truckmade chips were amazing - it's shame they're not available in huge bags, easily would be consumed in a single sitting. The smoked Mac and Cheese had a great blend of flavors, gourmet level but also a hit with our picky eater kids. The standout winner though is the Mrs Jenny Chicken Sandwich - !!! - so good. Chicken flavor and tenderness off the charts. And I don't know exactly what chow chow is, but the fennel chow chow was a great complement to the chicken. If this truck comes to your condo/concert/park/anywhere, definitely check it out. Sidebar: great family story behind this place - real follow your dreams stuff.
