One of the best artist galleries I have been to. The artwork is simply astounding. I found it hard to look away after staring at each piece for awhile. The colors and textures of each painting is one of a kind and pop from the canvass. It was as if I was viewing museum art without paying for admission. It's that quality of work, people!! Not only is the Jonas Gerard Fine Arts studio amazing BUT Jonas himself has a beautiful history, his paintings and art progression tells a story, one which he's proud of, hence you'll find him in the shop [look for the artist covered in paint!]. The pieces are incredible, a mix of color, cosmic feelings, some floral scenes and more. What you can't miss are the videos detailing Jonas creating these master pieces AND you can even stop into his studio (located at the studio) and see the impressive collection of tools and evidence of the most recent piece completed. The only downside I can see is because of the impressivity of this artist, you'll have to pay $$$$ to take something home. I hope one day to be able to add one of his pieces to my collection. read more

As I was running, the open garage door caught my view with many art pieces viewable from the street. I stopped by later and had a great visit through the gallery; so many unique pieces and you could view the studio where Jonas Gerard works. We weren't lucky enough to see him in action, but maybe next time. This is one of two galleries of his work. The lady working was so helpful and gave us a private tour with information, history, and details that we never would have known from just walking through. It was a delightful experience and I'd highly recommend checking it out! read more

I visited this Studio in a rainy day in Asheville when things were kinda slow. As I walked in, immediately I was 'greeted' by a staff member who described the Art- abstract clingy stuff. Then... I proceeded to go to the Area where the Ogre himself, Mr Gerard, paints. Here, was another Assistant if Mr Gerard, whom at the time was painting. At one point during my observation of Mr Gerard, the Artist glanced at me and I said- 'hello'- Mr Gerard did not even acknowledge my presence and his Assistant bombarded my presence by telling not to talk to Mr Gerard while painting. And immediately another Staff member came to chit- chat with me, which was a security measure in disguise. Well I must say that a simple smile and gesture of gratitude from the Artist and his Staff does not cost as much as his over-rated paintings do. I feel that for some reason this entity feels some kind of empowerment. And so I left and found another cute-quaint loving new Studio at the Hatchery building down the road where the Artist, Irene Flores, took the time to describe her beautiful and peaceful Art, even while my presence was during her painting time. She is detailed and affordable and her art is becoming real popular. She's even on TV for crying out loud. And because in Yelp we need to give stars for posting a review, this one star rating of mine is really a zero. Attitude with beauty is everything. read more

I visited the Studio on a fine Spring day in Asheville and was able to Meet and speak with Mr. Jonas. He escorted me around the Studio and shared the history about some of his work.. I also saw some current paintings. He is a very nice person and had a lovely assistant helping other customers. I did purchase a piece. I respect this Man and enjoyed his company... God loves Asheville ...This is a must do if visiting.. read more

So excited to meet such an amazing artist. His paintings were so incredible and unique. His gallery in the art district of Asheville is filled with amazing pieces. Mr Jonas was actually in the middle of painting one of his pieces while we were there. We were fortunate enough to experience this master artist in his element as he became one with the music he had playing on a surround sound stereo filling the room. When Mr. Jonas was notified that it was our daughter's 21st birthday, he unexpectedly turned his attention from the canvas on the wall to our daughter. He used the trowel type device he had in his hand that he had just used on his painting and painted our daughters arm. He then walked her over to a stack of 8x10 prints, fanned them out like a deck of cards upside down and told her pick one. Happy birthday he said. Truly amazing and unforgettable experience for all of us. Mr. Jonas and all the people in his studio were absolutely incredible people. Thank you very much for an awesome day. read more
