My regular AME and even my union doctors had told me it was going to take months to get cleared. Dr. Philipp was highly recommended to me by a friend, so, I thought I would take a chance and try a new AME. WOW!!! Dr. Phillipp was able to go through the lengthy details of my case and get a pre-approval from the FAA to issue a medical on the day I saw him. Of course, this was all contingent on me passing the medical when we met. Everything checked out and I am now holding a fresh Class I medical to go back to work. Dr. Phillipp's great reputation and long repour with the FAA made all this possible. Dr. Phillipp is very professional and has a great bedside manner. His office is extremely friendly. Dr. Phillipp clearly enjoys his connection with the aviation community. He shows a sense of pride in aviation that carries into his practice as an AME. I wish I had met him earlier. Even though Glendora is a bit of a drive for me, he is worth it. I would drive 10 hours if I had to in order to see him. I highly recommend Dr. Phillipp.

I should've walked away when the receptionist tells me "we need to get something out of it"…read more(referring to charging us for a vaccination only visit) and charged us for a full physical after already having a full physical (in the same calendar year) with another doctor. Quality of service with the actual physician was okay. I'd give that 3-4 stars. However the front desk/ frontline experience you have to go through needs an absolute overhaul. On paper/ online website, it seemed like this would be a great fit. However, in person or anytime I'd come in contact with Foothill Pediatrics it was always a letdown. After they "got theirs" ($$$) from the full physical and we switched over to them (due to previous Dr. closing their office) we attempted to make multiple appointments with them when my children were sick needing medical attention and were either referred to their much further office in Pasadena or after leaving multiple voicemails, never getting any replies whatsoever. Now, after switching to another and much better Dr and staff in our area, I'm getting reminded Text messages from Foothill Pediatrics to schedule an appointment (almost a year later since they never returned all my voicemail calls). Not only that, they keep texting after I replied "STOP" and received an automated confirmation text saying they would stop. Their current desperation for appointments leads me to believe they probably burned too many bridges they could handle (turning away other patients like myself) and are now dealing with the repercussions that comes along with it. Please train your staff to value each patient and respond to incoming voicemails, to not turn away service and answer incoming calls. Also to not treat a person like a dollar sign by using language saying they "need to get something out of the visit". Vaccination visits for my insurance should've been 0 cost with my insurance and an additional full physical could've waited till the next calendar year for 2 fully healthy kids with zero health conditions (just needed vaccines for school).... And as a small FYI; we have top of the line PPO insurance. Good riddance FP

Our family eventually stopped seeing him after 3 years of being under his care. We went to him because it was hard to find doctors who spoke Spanish in our area at the time. I'll start with the worst. My mom used to be really concerned for her health. Over time we realized her concerns were signs of what she's now developed, diverticulitis and other digestive issues. She often came in with pain and explained her concerns. Dr. Castellanos would tell my mom that she was fine and to take ibuprofen. Any time she came in it was the same thing even though her symptoms progressed - continue to take ibuprofen. Eventually she told my mom she was too worried and was a bother. We finally stopped going to see him when she used the restroom and found blood in her stool. She developed ulcers in her throat and stomach that were very painful when eating. After we stopped going to see him we found out all of her symptoms were the beginning of diverticulitis. In 2009 she ended up going to the ER because she was heavily bleeding when she used the bathroom. A diverticula had burst open and it was discovered she has 3 total that had developed. She was taken to emergency surgery. She's suffered through diverticulitis ever since with multiple ER visits. Dr. Castellanos was negligent as a doctor when presented with symptoms. He could have referred her to a gastroenterologist but never did. We had HMO at the time and eventually switched to PPO but it was after dealing with him. For my own case, I developed gastro issues around 12 and realized I had sensitivity to certain foods that lead to a lot of gas and odd noises in my intestines. I felt shy about it as a kid but was worried because I didn't want to sit in class having those noises come from my intestines because well... it was awkward. My side of the classroom could hear my gas issues and I didn't understand what was causing it. When I told him he blew me off and told me to eat more fiber. I didn't bother more about it or ask because I was too ashamed to ask more. Years later I realized I had food sensitivities and that I need to be careful to avoid dairy. All of this to say - I would absolutely NEVER recommend anyone to see Dr Castallanos. My mom could have sued him for negligence but decided not to. Seeing him still in practice now and talking to family about health made me 20 years later have to go back to write this.

We just moved back in the area and needed a new dr as our old pediatrician at that time was located in Woodland Hills. Just wanted to say how much Dr. T and her staff has been like a family to us. My kids have never received care like the type of care we get at this clinic. For instance, there isn't ever a time where I couldn't reach out to Dr. T if I felt something was urgent. She always answers every concern, every question via text if I deem something important and needs her guidance or advice and yes, even when she's on vacation, which I appreciate so much more than she could ever know. The staff really makes us feel cared for and I feel like they are my "Titas". Tita Vangie and Tita J.Lo as I refer to them, who have answered my dozen calls for the past 2 weeks when my 2 year old came down with RSV and needed to be seen at the ER- from seeing us even before clinic hours to make sure we get seen on short notice, to setting up lab work at the hospital. They go beyond any expectations. We're so lucky and grateful for everyone at this clinic. To Dr. T and Titas, thank you for all the guidance and care this past couple of weeks. We are still not out of the woods with RSV, but I have peace of mind knowing they are just a call away if needed.

I explained again and again for 3 times that i cant pay right now but she was persistent to get the copay paid. I gave her a complaint and as I was telling her that i was upset, she got up and left the desk. At the end i was upset that she was an able, mentally stable adult but does not know how to provide basic customer service skills to customers. Doctor here is nice but unfortunately i will be switching pediatrician due to incompetent receptionist.... Just watch out for the lady... she seemed clueless working here and what het job is supposed to be.

My daughter has been sick for over six months. I've paid for her to see the doctor to get medicine and the doctor has refused to give my Daughter medicine, claiming she has allergies. I told her the last time that I can't keep paying her not to get medicine. She said I can just call in and she will proscribe my daughter medicine. After my daughter getting sick again and again with a fever, I called the Doctor yesterday and the nurse said the Dr called in the medicine. I waiting for the pharmacy to call and found out this morning, on a Saturday, she never sent it in. I called the Dr and she stated she sent the allergy medicine to the pharmacy in our last visit, which we already picked up and have been using. At that point, the doctor told me I would have to pay for my daughter to see the Dr. again. I told her I can't keep paying her to not treat my daughter and got into an argument with her, because her solution was for me to get a different Doctor. Now, after six months, I'm in the ER with my daughter who has a fever, high blood pressure for the infection and ex rays to make sure this continued non treatment has not cause pneumonia. As I told the Dr. over the phone, she is a terrible human to take peoples money and refuse to treat them. I will be making a written complaint against her license to n Monday.

He said we needed an xray of his throat and chest immediately or he could die. SERIOUSLY? We go back to Foothill and they immediately start questioning what the hell this dude was talking about. We are in the ER for an hour and they were able to do 10x more than this doctor did. They confirmed he was NOT AT THE RISK OF DYING, and not to worry. Seriously?
