I bought a used ford escape 6 months ago and when I test drove it the exhaust sounded a little deep when pressing the gas pedal and the salesman said it normal and that it was the sound of the turbo. My check engine light come on so I took it in on Wednesday for an 8:00am appointment. I requested an update from them by EOD and only received a call back the following day after my wife called and then I called. They still had not been able to contact the warranty company until the morning of the following day. The turbo needs to be replaced along with studs and gaskets. The check engine light said the emissions evap tubing needs to be replaced. Warranty will only cover the turbo and associated parts and not the emissions parts. I even had to replace the battery the first month. Warrenty will only offer two days on a rental car and Jones ford will have had my vehicle for 7 by the time I get it back. Jones ford also does not offer a loaner vehicle from them and require you to get the vehicle two cites away. They will pick you up and take you there to get the vehicle but is not as convenient as getting a vehicle from the dealership the day I dropped off the car. I feel I was sold a vehicle that they did not do a thorough inspection on and that they offer a subpar warranty. The service department is slow and not great at communicating and the policies and warranties put in place by corporate results in pour customer experience. It is a disappointment they don't offer a loner vehicle when they are working on a vehicle purchased from them and the warranty is also from them. The parts are ordered from Ontario Canada so the cost is a premium with tariffs. $310 for the emissions evap harness and 220 for labor. I would not recommend Jones ford of Buckeye and will never purchase a vehicle from them again. I feel they should have caught these issues and instead intentionally put the car on the lot. read more

Tabitha is great in service, Tyler is great in sales. Technician quality is a joke. First oil change was done fine. 2nd oil change went wrong. Tried to work with Alan over the course of 3 or so weeks to get it rectified. Obviously got completely blown off. When my car wouldn't start, I gave them another chance and towed it in and during that time frame had to change out of state license plates out. Tabitha ended up being my service writer and she was excellent. During the time frame it was there I had to register my car in arizona and turn nevada plates in. Alan was unfortunately the only one there and gave nothing but bad attitude. Told him needed the plates off my car to turn in to swap registration and the remarks I got from him were "wow" and "yeah good luck with that" in his awesome sarcastic tone. After about 4 weeks later (not their fault, hpop had to be sent to sinister diesel for warranty) I get the car back. Batteries had been changed without cleaning the corrosion on the passenger battery, the oil spray from running the air leak test on the high pressure oil system was everywhere on the engine bay, plastic retainer left lying on top of the turbo, air filter dented in during install of the driver battery, massive exhaust leak from the up pipe to turbo not being aligned correctly and the down pipe not aligned correctly making an awesome rattle in the cab. I had high hopes to finally find someplace I could trust to work on my cars so I didnt have to anymore, more than willing to pay the book rate even. But after this.... no way. Now I have to perform quality control and fix the screw ups from both the oil change and the hpop replacement. I would absolutely buy a car from Tyler though and if you take your car just wait until you can have tabby as your service advisor. She's awesome. read more

I scheduled my first oil change here, a week in advance. I got there 30 minutes before. Appt was for 7:30am. Was told it would be about an hour which is understandable, no worries there. 9:00am roles around just to get told, it's barely getting brought in. I get businesses get busy, short on mechanics , ect totally understandable. Here is my issue. NO communication what's so ever. NO service advisor came to me explain "hey looks like we're over booked or short on mechanics, do you need a shuttle somewhere or do you want to continue to wait" but none of that happened. I had clients to meet up with, missed my client appointments. All this could of been avoided by simple communication. Could of shuttled home and took my other work truck to my client's appointments & and just picked up my truck later with no one rushing. No harm no foul. Wasted my time. read more

They were able to get me a good interest rate and they gave me their best price right upfront and I knew it was a good price because I was shopping around, Mario took care of me. This place has went to shit over the years. I have purchased 5 vehicles in the last ten years from Jones and four were from this location and I have never had such a horrible experience until a few weeks ago. Now, I can't prove it but there is no way ASE certified mechanics at their shop could have missed 15 different electrical codes during their inspection for safety and I think they cleared codes and sold me a lemon. The salesman Eric dragged out the concerns I brought up for weeks to make sure I couldn't return the vehicle under the 15 day 500 mile lemon law. Every time I try to contact him I would get a new excuse that the sales manager had a family member out sick etc. To anyone looking for a used vehicle BEWARE because at this point I think they are capable of doing anything to sell an unsafe vehicle for commission. I finally gave up and nothing was ever resolved and now I am stuck with new payments on a vehicle that needs thousands of dollars of electrical repairs that they had kept off of their inspection reports. No one has even contacted me to even meet me half way on this and I had to constantly call the salesman who just kept blowing me off. I will never go to this dealer again in my life. They made sure through the whole process to drive home the "vehicle is as is" bullshit and now I see why. Update to ignorant comment from Jones: You somehow left out all of the electrical issues on the inspection report? Someone messed up my muffler while they replaced the transmission. They put two large holes in my muffler and won't take responsibility or accountability. Very disappointed with them. Last month I bought a used Ford 150 from Jones Ford in Buckeye, AZ. They said nothing was wrong with it, it passed all inspections, i purchased truck and had it shipped to CA. Within one mile of driving it a check engine light came on showing 3 different codes. When I did receive the truck in CA, I found a ticket in the glove box calling the truck a "mechanic special". Eric hadn't mentioned mechanic special once to me. I did purchase the truck "as is" and I knew it had mileage. I have purchased 3 vehicles and have all my service work done at Jones Ford in Buckeye...all of which I have been very satisfied with, until 2019. In 2019 I tried to purchase a Ford F-150. The salesman said he needed to get a payoff from my lender, which I understood. I relayed to the salesperson that my warranty was going to expire in three weeks, so I needed to complete the sale within that time period. One week went by and I heard nothing from the salesperson, so I called and went down to the dealership and spoke with him again. Two more weeks went by with no word from them,again I went down to the dealership and reminded them that my warranty was going to expire in three days, was told they were sorry it was taking so long but they were very busy(I claim baloney on that one). Well I was never contacted again so I purchased at another dealer. My Grandson is in need of another truck and I agreed to help him and thought I would give Jones another shot. After three days and two visits we found a truck that would be a nice fit for him. My Grandson's credit score is above 800 and he was told the best finance percentage he would get was 6%, again I call baloney on that! No negotiation on price, trade-in amount(they offered the very lowest Kelley Blue Book) or finance percentage. I am so disgusted with Jones that I will likely never return. I scheduled an appointment online to fix my lock under warranty. I received 3 confirmation emails and I called to make sure it was okay to drop my car off early. When I arrived they said they couldn't find my appointment and then informed me that they only take oil change appointments online. If that's the case why is it an option to request a service appointment? If you refuse to invest in useful technology then do yourself a favor and disable the option to make appointments online. read more

Took my truck in to get serviced. I did have a scheduled appointment also informed them this is my daily driver I needed it back for work so for about 2 2 half days they never touched my truck so I just went and picked it back up. Service advisors when you speak to them face-to-face they are nice but when you call them it's almost as you're bothering them when all you're trying to do is check up on your vehicle or getting an update. I would've took it more as a courtesy If they would've told me ahead of time that they were behind, I would have rescheduled Instead of them taking the truck just to park it. read more

If I could give the service department a negative number it would Not be low enough! The CS people are polite and try to be helpful but the technical experience is gone. A simple battery warranty issue and they cannot seem to find the problem. I bought a 2020 F-350 new and the GPS keeps failing and error messages in the remote start, etc. The vehicle has an obvious electrical problem and battery issues. But they refuse to replace anything. On the last trip my truck was even returned very filthy. Windshield and entire truck covered with dust. And it was there for a week! Over the last 15 years we have purchased over 20 vehicles (truck) from work trucks to pleasure. Warning - go to another Ford Dealer for service of any kind. read more

Called to schedule service and the earliest they would look at the truck was 3 weeks out. Night before the appointment. This place is a gem, first while in financing the salesman comes in and tells us he needs to speak with us, what about? They ran the car into a trailer, front fender..destroyed, along with the tire, rim, and inner wheel well. They made that right by giving me a loaner and fixing a dent in the rear bumper. The saving grace of the sales department was Tyler. He did an incredible job, and I can not say anything bad about him. Then there is the joke that they call the service center. You walk in, and once someone gets off their phone playing whatever game he is playing he tells you to stand in front of an empty desk, mind you three people are sitting there doing nothing, then they tell you your supposed to pull your car up and then they will help you. The car was in for an oil change, and I had an 8:30 appointment. What time did I actually get to pick up the car.. for an oil change..11:15. Just bought a new Ford Ranger from Jones Ford Buckeye, #1 in my book as far as I'm concerned. I bounce back and forth between No Cal and AZ, so have been in contact with 3-4 Ford dealers in the greater Sac area as well as 3-4 Ford dealers in the greater Phoenix area. I even had earlier placed an order for a Ford Ranger from a different Phoenix Ford dealer (the order seemed to have got "lost" so I canceled it). I can tell you that out of the 7 or so dealerships I visited to look at Ford Rangers, Jones Ford Buckeye was the most attentive, the most honest, and had close to the best inventory. Mike Shapely was great, as was the general manager (they didn't do the routine dealership "hard sell" dog and pony show!). The finance manager actually got me a loan rate that was below my pre-approved credit union rate, and my credit union rate was pretty low! All in all I had a great experience at Jones Ford Buckeye and would highly recommend them as a new Ford dealer. read more

On my way home from what was a great weekend we hit something on the roadway that cause my rt rear tire to stop rolling and my truck and 5th wheel trailer come to a complete stop. The next day had it towed to Jones Ford where Dennis at the service counter took charge from the start to the end and kept us informed at all times. There was damages under the truck and distoid the rim and tire. As the repairs went on he kept us informed at all time. Scott the service manager is tops as I am concerned. Fast forward 5 weeks (yes, weeks - not months) and the transmission goes out. Now, I'm thinking "lucky me, they provide a full powertrain warranty for the life of the vehicle." NOPE. At least, not so far. They have had my car for 2 weeks now (!!!) and today they are "just cracking the case to take a look at it and diagnose the issue." What. In. The. Heck. This is after we were told that their transmission "specialist" didn't have the tool he needed to open the case and they had to wait for that to arrive. Call me crazy, but in order to specialize in something, don't you need to have the tools to do the job? I am 99% sure they sold me a car they KNEW had this issue, and they are now working to scam the warranty company to get them to cover the repair. In mid March our 2017 Ford F-450 flashed a "Service Engine" light along with an illuminated wrench. At that point it would only travel in 5th gear when it was in drive. I called Jones Ford in Buckeye, AZ to schedule an appointment t o bring my truck in to diagnose the problem. A few miles down the road the truck would not go above 25 MPH. At that time I called for a tow truck and had it taken to the dealership. Through a series of very unfortunate circumstances, it took over 6 weeks to make the necessary repairs. Bob was a great sales person. From the time i met him, he was attentive, professional and not aggressive to just make a sale. He allowed me to take my time to find what i wanted and was just there to answer questions and provide guidance. Never once did he steer me away from the type of vehicle I wanted and allowed me to choose what I was there to take home. Thanks again Bob and financial department also for being easy going and friendly. Update: After almost a week I went to remove the front dealer plate that was added after I purchased it. When I initially saw the car on the lot there was no front plate but two circular tabs covering the existing holes which is fine since Arizona is a one plate state. So i take off the plate and notice there are now two newer holes above the two that were covered up. I don't know why they would damage my bumper just to add an advertisement plate to the front bumper. I get its for business but just use the existing ones. I now have to find a way to cover up all four. They didn't even give back the tabs for the original ones. So I have to look to cover all four now. I gave one star less because of this and not because of the actual sale of the vehicle. This is directed more towards the maintenance/detail crew hat ruin my front bumper. read more

Dealerships are always going to be dealerships, and personally I will avoid them as much as I can because there is really one thing they're interested in: your wallet. My wife however prefers to deal with them, perhaps she's not quite as allergic to BS as I am. Her car was totaled in an accident in May and it took a long time to get the settlement. By the time we were able to really look for a car, the used car prices shot up an insane amount. She really wanted the same make/model that she had before, even though it's not popular and was actually discontinued, so they're pretty hard to find. We had a horrible experience at Peoria Nissan with them trying to rob us blind, so we waited as long as we could. I kept searching for the right car for months. Finally one showed up at Jones Ford that seemed somewhat reasonably priced. It's not exactly the color she wanted but we can't wait much longer so we went and checked it out. Even though I felt that it was a little more worn than it should be, she liked it after test driving it, and she decided to get it. The staff there seemed fairly down to earth. I dealt on the phone and via text with Ted Witmer, and in person with Tylor. Negotiations with Tylor went fairly smooth and he didn't try to pull any insane shenanigans on us like the thieves at Peoria Nissan tried. The finance lady Justine (I think was her name) was also very approachable. I still was disappointed when I saw the "bottom line" cost but she didn't cram too much crap down our throats like other dealerships and was even get a slightly better interest rate for us than what I had prequalified for. Not sure if their "lifetime drivetrain warranty" is really worth much but oh well we got what we needed and were out of there in less than 2 hrs from the time we arrived. By comparison, Peoria Nissan tried to sell us the same make/model car but two years older and with a known bad transmission for the same price we paid for this one. (I know, sounds insane huh? they said "buy a transmission and replace the bad one"... and they said if we want them to replace the transmission it would cost us $9K OVER blue book value) So far, this one drives good. I will definitely update my review based on how things pan out with the vehicle. read more

The service department moves at the speed of sloth. Arrived at 9:30 a.m. to get new tires. I made the unfortunate decision to stay with my vehicle. Needless to say, I didn't leave the dealership until 4:30 p.m. I probably could have hit the road about 4 p.m. but I had to wait as there was only one person handling customers in the service department. 1/10 would not go here again. read more

What a truly horrible experience I have had on 3 separate visits to their service department. First time, I dropped my car off for an oil change and a complaint of the front door speaker rattling. 3 days later I had to call them to find out the status of my repair as they never reached out to me. They were looking into the speaker issue and the rattling in the door but forgot to do an oil change. I ended up getting the car back after an oil change and they replaced some clips inside the door but didn't address the speaker issue. I had to bring the car back another time and do a demonstration on the speaker issue. They ordered the speaker and I had to come back to have them install it. The rattling inside the door came back and I brought the car back to them only to have their service advisor look up my name and say I didn't have a reservation. THIS IS FOR A REDO ON S PREVIOUS REPAIR!!! They told me they couldn't look at my car for a week. FOR CLIPS INSIDE THE TRIM PANEL??? Good lord, I can't imagine if there was a bigger repair to do. They want to be out "small town dealership" but they treat people horribly. Plenty of other dealerships would want the business. read more
