I had an issue with a certified pre-owned car I purchased from Jones so I brought it into their body shop to be looked at. After a manager looked at the issue he said he would look into it and give me a call back with possible solutions. After a few weeks of not receiving any follow-up I left a voicemail with him and still did not receive a phone call. I tried emailing and was told I would receive a follow up from a different manager. Again, weeks went by without any follow up so I sent a follow up email. I again received no follow up so I sent one final email asking for an update within a week. Nothing. Two months and my car has the same problem with no response from multiple managers. I know great people who work at Jones, but based on the poor customer service I've personally experienced I would not recommend purchasing a car from them. It's a shame considering my family always owned Hondas growing up. I will be purchasing my next Honda elsewhere. read more

If I could give a 0 star rating I could. Went in with a simple plan and had my intelligence insulted as I sat there. Then I was actually referred by the salesman to go somewhere else. Problem solved. Do not even step foot on this premise what a waste of someone's day. Not even pocket lint from them is worth the money. I've dealt with all of the other honda dealers around the area and have never been quoted so low for my car. Almost 5k less than ebersole honda, like others have said if you still want a honda try going to ebersole or just try a different manufacturer and have much better luck. read more

My fiance and I were in the market for a second car and purchased a pre-owned 2013 Civic EX from Jones. We had a really wonderful car-buying experience with Dan, who was very kind, patient, and knowledgable. We also paid a bit less than the suggested Kelley Blue Book dealership price. So far, we're very happy car with the car, which looks good and runs beautifully! This is the third used Honda I've purchased from Jones in 17 years, and I have been extremely happy with all three! None of them have ever required any major repairs or maintenance -- just a routine oil change and an occasional flat tire. The only I reason I've gone through three is because the first one was totaled in an accident, and I sold the second car before moving abroad. I was just starting my car buying process. I hadn't done my homework yet, but thought Honda was a no-brainer. After all, my last 3 vehicles were Hondas: Pilot, Odyssey, Civic. I only had a year left to payoff the Pilot, but at 17 mpg, it was killing me... I was filling it up twice per week, sometimes. My thought was I would see what caught my eye, compare mpg and then do the research. I knew a sales person would approach me, but I had decided I was standing my ground. I spoke to Marcus at Jones Honda, in Lancaster and he seemed friendly. He reviewed my car loan and I had a great credit history. My payments were rough, as I moved and took a significant paycut. I knew I could not continue to handle the payments of $500-700/month. Marcus said he wanted to get me into a new car with $200 ballpark payments, with trade in. He wanted me to talk to the manager about getting me into a new Accord. I explained I wasn't signing anything that day and I was just beginning the process. His manager comes over and begins to push, "I will give you the best deal...". I insisted I wasn't signing anything, but give me the breakdown. Marcus said something like I couldn't take the paper with the breakdown, so I had to write it down myself, and did so (Um whatever). I said to them, " If you give me the best deal, I will be buying from your dealership. " I went home and began researching the Accord to see what they offered me. I discovered that they were giving me sticker price AND low - balled me on the trade in. During that time, these Accords were starting at $3000 off that, in the area. As I said, I do my research. I spoke to Marcus after and he blamed the manager. He said they have another manager that would do better. I came back in and it was more baloney. I am a single mother of four kids. It was a horrible offer and with the despicable game they played, I would never return. I bought a Toyota Camry in another state, Delaware. read more

Only giving two stars because the salesman, Marcus, was very helpful and attentive. But management does as little as possible to prep their used cars for sale. Sales manager said they can't 'detail' used cars because it costs them $200 to do it, but they were probably making at least $2000 on the deal. They did a quick vacuuming and sprayed some perfume to cover up a 'doggie' smell in the car, but it quickly came back two days latter. Car still had dog hairs in the back, and trash under the seats. I could have bought from a private seller, and had a cleaner car at a lower price. I had to spend $200 to have it detailed myself locally. There are much better dealers along the same road within a mile. read more

Took my '06 CRV in for annual inspection. My father, who lives in NJ, owned a car repair shop for decades and still does my regular maintenance. Tires, fluids and alignment were both done a mere five months ago. The Honda service department tells me my tires are feathering (equally on all four tires, mind you. I don't think so) and my fluids need changing. I not so politely told them my tires were five months old, as were all my fluids. They wanted $773 to fix these "problems." Obviously I refused all service, told them to stop at just the inspection and be done with it. Livid. Not sure if they do that to all customers or just women. Doesn't matter. Sales was great but service stinks. Twice my back windows were left halfway down, smudges on car doors, junk left inside car. When trying to call to schedule service, message kept saying closed although website said open. Spoke to service manager about frustrations with service, to top it all off they put the wrong year on inspection stickers. They are getting one more shot, then I'll decide if I'll ever go back. I sent people there to but Honda and my sister is looking for one but not sure I'd recommend Jones just due to crappy service. read more

Leased a car there they did beat the price of 2 other places , I was smart to be patient enough for that but if I waited longer by a week another place would've got me even better . Besides the point , everything went went but the manager Brian is one of the most non sensical managers I ever met . Had a question that he called " the dumbest question ever " when others totally understood me asking . I returned a Honda with 2 bumps and it was forgiven however what I leased had a once inch stripe and a few other specs on the paint . I understand if I get another Honda it's a dumb question but if over 3 years the natural wear and tear plus that , if I don't get another Honda what happens . And that's his reaction . That's the definition of a prick who thinks he's smarter than he is . Mind you I had my child close to me while he said this loudly. Then he took other tidbits of conversation using half truths to try and build a case against my character . Went to Jones Honda to look at the new Ridgeline and test drive it. I stood outside for a good 15 minutes and nobody came out. I figured maybe they don't see me, so I went inside to look at the demo model. I must have been inside at least 10 minutes looking at the demo Ridgeline near three salesmen at the front desk. NONE OF THEM CAME OVER TO HELP OR ASK IF I NEEDED ANYTHING. I guess they had more important things to do like be on their phones and talk. There were however two other gentleman helping other customers at the time I was there and one did approach me and at least great me. I will not be returning to this dealership and would recommend people look elsewhere to a dealer who is personable and cares about helping their customers. read more

Bought a new car from Jones, was highly pressured to get my 5,000 service done at Jones, even when Honda suggested waiting for the wrench light to come on. So I combine it with tire rotation and inspection, and Jones put the wrong inspection sticker on. They argued with me about it before finally admitting they were wrong, then when I took off work once again to have it corrected no one knew anything about it and after explaining it to 4 people, finally got through to someone only to have to wait another hour for the correct sticker to be put on. One of the service guys even said, you've been waiting a while haven't you? Oh, and during that time I got to listen to Fox News blaring in their waiting room so loud that you couldn't get away from it, even in the 'quiet area'. I'll go back to my local mechanic who I trust to be straight with me. read more

We recently purchased a new CRV for our daughters Birthday. We did our homework and went to a couple of dealerships, but Jones Honda, particularly Cristian our salesman, made us feel right at home. He did a fantastic job explaining the vehicle in detail to my daughter on her test drive! He was very patient and considerate, no pressure, while we were deciding between two vehicles. I had gotten a cheaper quote at another dealership but Cristian matched that without any question and made our family feel very comfortable with our buying experience. Also, made sure my daughter had a special Birthday with balloons on her car, she was so happy! Definitely will return! read more

I took my 2008 Civic Coupe to Jones for the Air bag inflator recall. I took the car there after washing it and that turned out to be a mistake. When service was complete and I got the car back there were greasy hand prints on drivers window and passenger door window as well as all over the dashboard. I certainly won't go back to receive treatment like that again. read more

This is a follow up to a review that I posted about a year ago. That review resides on the "not recommended" list. Jones did finally fix one of the side doors. They still refuse to fix the other one as they cannot verify the problem, which is exactly the same as the one they fixed. At certain times the door cannot be opened by any means. It is a very dangerous situation. However it is inconsistent. The Honda from hell developed a new intermittent problem about 6 months ago. In a 2 week period the car alarm went off 6x totally unprovoked, including once at 3am while parked in the garage. Until that time the alarm had never gone off and it has not gone off since. The piece of junk obviously has an electrical malfunction such as an intermittent short but Jones will not look for it. Both front tires were losing air. Had them fixed at an independent shop. The Honda factory mounted them with the bar code on the bead. That is a knock on Honda and is not the fault of Jones. However Jones wanted me to drop it off and leave it for a day or two until they could work it in! No more Honda's - no more Jones. Ever! Michael Dyer read more

worst experience imaginable. Sales staff was misleading and not upfront about terms of lease/release we recently made with dealership. At first we were told that the dealership would assume Mileage costs and end-of-lease costs. On those terms we assumed a new lease. WEEKS later we were billed for nearly a thousand dollars for mileage and "excess wear and damage" None of the purported damage was shown to us, reported to us at the time. In any case, Jones said they would assume these costs before we signed. After we signed, they produced our end-of-lease liability form and said, sorry this is your responsibility. We signed the form, it's true, but its not the deal we made in plain spoken English. Buyer/lessor beware. I will be contacting Better Business Bureau about these practices. read more

This place is a joke. I have had nothing but trouble since day one. I dropped my car off July first and they would not give me any info about the car or send out courtesy call with updates. We are now into August and still my car is in there. I have called Kris Jones the general manager with no returned calls. I also called Joe keener service manager with no returned calls. I finally went in last week and they told me that my warranty would not cover my mechanical issue due to it being in an accident and it was not in an accident. So I then called my warranty only to find out they never called it. The next day I went in they told me "I guess we never did call the warranty". At that time I also demanded to meet with the service manager Joe keener and he showed no care or concern for my issues. I told him how I as hung up on after hearing 2 service men argueing over who would answer the phone then one guy said I'll handle it and picked it up and hung it up. They told me my bill will be $1300 but I just spent that amount of money on my rental car for a month. They said they were only starting to work on the car last Thursday but who knows anymore if they are just never going to return the car at this point or not since I have been disrespected, and treated unfairly with no regard for good customer service. Do not use them, if Honda would actually invest into there shops this would or should be unacceptable read more

This review is specifically for the service department. Every time I go in to the service center they are helpful and take care of things just fine. They offer a nice waiting area. The service guys are friendly- it's all good. But I cannot say enough bad things about the service scheduling department. I have never been so frustrated in dealing with the most unhelpful people I ever spoken to. It took me SIXTY TWO - I repeat ... 62 minutes, over a couple hour period today to schedule a service appointment. Every time I call and get transferred to Honda service to make an appointment it takes between 8-12 minutes until someone answers. (I called 3 times today). Between being on hold, waiting for someone to answer, being transferred to the wrong dept, being transferred to parts .. it was terrible! Also, it doesn't make sense that the customer has to be transferred to parts to see if they have inventory before service can schedule. The process needs to be improved or changed. I am extremely disappointed. Luckily I somehow got to someone in service and he made me an appointment in 2 minutes. read more

I do not recommend going to Jones Honda in Lancaster. I bought my car a little more than a year ago. I started noticing something strange so I took it in 2 months ago to get checked. They didn't find anything. Today I just took it again and finally they found the issue coming from the transmission. Very serious issue. Since I have warranty they will be covering this. However, as I result I will be without a car for 2 days and they will not be able to support me or offer transportation during that time.Their excuse because I did not buy extend coverage such as the care package they offer. This is BS! Yeah, I bought my car from you because I have a spare car for when my brand new car breaks down. Isn't that why I bought a new car to rely on? And now you can't even support your cuatomer because she didn't get the care plan? This is just disappointing. They dont care about you! They care about business and making more money of you!! read more

Had a problem that needed to be addressed and took my Buick to this establishment. I spoke to Matt in the service area who took the time to check into the problem, figured out what was wrong, and took care of it. My total bill for his help was under $6.00!!!! There was NO Charge for his time. This kind of service is why I continue to patronize this establishment. They are always courteous and professional in delivering their services. read more

Stay away!!! I was a loyal customer for decades, but the service dept. has hit rock bottom on the cheating level like most dealerships have become, typically starving for $$$ and looking for easy prey. Took my Honda in for routine service and an oil change. All of a sudden there were "check engine light" problems. Took it back, they replaced the oxygen sensor $$$. Problem still not fixed. Went to my personal mechanic and it was a no brainer, Jones never drained the old oil out of my car after adding the new. This caused the oxygen sensor and check engine light to go haywire. After paying Jones $$$ for the 1st sensor, I'd be crazy to pay them again when it was their negligence or intention to NOT drain the old oil that caused this problem. Of course they want to sell cars, but don't take a classic Honda and try to make you believe it's now trash only to resell it and make a huge profit, then try to swoon you with the "buy a new car" ethics. After 4 months of looking for a used car for my husband, we decided to travel to Jones in Lancaster to see a car that we had found online. We called ahead of time and spoke to sales associate Daven Akimori. Daven had the car waiting for us when we arrived. He was extremely knowledgeable not just about the car we were interested in, but about every car we showed interest in. He was very professional - listened to our concerns, gave us his honest opinions when asked, encouraged us to think about pros/cons we hadn't thought about, was patient, and didn't try to push us into any one car. We purchased a car that afternoon and felt we received a very fair price for it. The great experience continued with Tom Kelley the Business Manager. Though our car hunting took us past the 5pm business hours, neither Tom nor Daven made us feel rushed with the process. We can't recommend Jones Used Cars of Lancaster highly enough and look forward to returning there (and to Daven specifically) for future purchases. read more
