We were able to work with Vyanka using one of her virtual design packages. This works well if you have experience with past renovation projects and can project manage the implementation of the design. Or you can get a package where Vyanka and team will manage all the details. After 3 design sessions, Vyanka provides you a very detailed construction plan with detailed 2D layouts, measurements, and location of every fixture, hook, control valve, light,...ect. We found ourselves referring to the construction package every day as our contractor had questions. Vyanka takes your inputs and incorporate them in 3-4 different options and provide material selections from high end, middle, and budget friendly. On my last few bath remodel, I used Lowe's and Home Depot fixtures. But we are glad that Vyanka introduced us to some very nice fixtures that are like jewels that elevated the entire Masterbath. We had a water leak in the master bath that leaked to the downstairs bath so we decided lets just do the full remodel that we've wanted to do for sometime. We first thought we could do this ourselves but it really became more than we knew how to do, so we called Rose. And I will say, she was amazing. The design abilities of this woman are really really good. He assistant, Renee is just as amazing, however....It all went bad at the end. First, I was told I'd have completed bathrooms by thanksgiving. They didn't finish until February. Yes, we had a delay on the tub, but that was only a 2 week delay. And it wasn't because of the work needed, but rather because the contractor had a habit of showing up in a scatter. Here and there, when he felt like it. His work is good, but his time frames are not. At the end of the process, I was sent a bill in which I paid. I didn't even question the amount. I was so busy at the time that I made the mistake of not paying closer attention as to what I was being billed for. It wasn't until Rose then attempted to submit yet another bill a week later for a few thousand dollars that I got curious as to what was going on. This is now Waaaay over my estimate. So, I dug in and I started going through all my statements and invoices and boy did I discover some huge mistakes. Pictured below. I got an email when I questioned all of this and I was told to disregard these statements and only go with the new numbers being emailed to me. When I expressed displeasure in what was going on, she got very frustrated. I'm just super not ok with this. The numbers changed like crazy. And on top of all that, she charged me 300.00 for using a credit card for only 1 transaction, not the others, and it was never disclosed. In the end, I got my refund check but not for the amount I believed it should have been for but I decided to take the almost 3000.00 loss and wash my hands of it. I definitely learned a huge lesson. I should have been more insistent on getting proper statements and invoices in a timely manner vs. flurries of them coming at me in bundles that had the same items with different numbers. I was just very busy, and I trusted she knew what she was doing. So, my main reason for writing this is to say to any future clients, be very careful with the money. Pin her down on pricing. She may change it as she goes without notice. She is a very good designer without a doubt, but she is not organized. Kinda all over the place. You have to stay on her and be persistent. We love our newly installed window blinds and we get the perfect amount of sunlight in our living room and get enough sleep with the blinds and blackouts we got in our bedroom.
