My husband and I ordered a car in Oct 2020 and put down a down payment. We were told the car would be in by December and we never heard from Kia again. When December came around we called the salesman we were working with and he never answered our calls or called us back, ever. So we talked to the sales manager who just just as unhelpful. He told us he would look into it and call us back and never did. So my husband had to call again, the manager told him they were holding off on ordering the car so they can hit their January numbers and that the car would finally be ordered first week of January. Its Jan 19th and nothing has been ordered yet. We canceled our order after numerous unanswered phone calls. Had we not called anyone at Jones Kia we wouldn't have heard from them since Oct. Save your time and energy, go somewhere else. These employees are lazy and unmotivated to sell anything. After reading many reviews, it seems that this place has zero respect for service members. If you support the U.S. Military, don't spend your money at this establishment. If you are reading this consider yourself lucky and walk, jog, run, Uber or roll away from the Jones establishment as soon as humanly possible. If you fail to heed this warning, you will regret your decision. The reason for review is an on going situation I one of my Soldiers had with this establishment. They attempted to sell my Soldier a 2011 Honda Civic for over 17,000$. Of course they could find financing for that amount because the car is only worth $8,500. When she went to turn the car in because the financing fell threw she was told that she couldn't turn the car in, and would have to sign new paperwork for it. They reduced the price by $2,300. So that they could get it financed. At this point the Soldier had decided she didn't want anything to do with this dealership because of all the lies she had been told. The Store Manager personally told her that she was required by MD state law to purchase a $2,500 service plan for the vehicle, and they could not remove it from her contract. They also told her that "we (her supervisors) were not able to see the paperwork before she signed it because they were legal documents with personal information on it". Even though the Soldier was perfectly happy to allow us to review the sales contract to make sure she wasn't being ripped off. The sales manager had her so scared that she was literally shaking, and they did not care even a little. They were only worried about making the sale, no matter how bad of a deal it was. At the end of the day we left the keys with the sales manager and walked out and went to grab some lunch. The sales manager said we weren't allowed to do that and that the vehicle was hers. Don't go to Jones if you are looking for a used car. I inquired about a used Kia and was given the worst run-around. I kept asking for a price of the car and was being told that if I wasn't going to BUY TODAY, they couldn't give me a price. Athena kept going back and forth to the manager and when she went back to him the third time, I walked out of the store. One of the managers, I guess he was, came running out the door when he saw me leaving and asked me if there was a problem. YES THERE WAS A PROBLEM. FIRST, I REFUSE TO PLAY THEIR GAMES, AND SECOND, I WAS READY TO PURCHASE THAT DAY, HOWEVER ITS A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO BUY A CAR WITHOUT KNOWING HOW MUCH IT COSTS. I have never seen anything so ridiculous. I told him if he ever came up with a final price, he could email me. Of course I never heard a word. Since that time I have called several dealers and gotten the full price of a vehicle emailed to me with all costs spelled out in the email. We didn't buy the car from this Kia dealer, but they're usually the only Kia dealer in the central Maryland area that will take the car in for service on the same day, let alone the same week. I bought a used Honda Element in January. In the first couple days, I had to refill the tires a few times. I live in PA, so when I got it inspected, I had to get new tires. The car smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and the salesman said it was just him. It was not. I spent months cleaning and airing out my car. He also claimed there was only one key for it, but I could get a new one cut at a Honda dealership for under ten dollars. However, in April I finally went to get a spare made, and it was $168! Now, six months later, they've called me to tell me that they found the spare key. The person I spoke two was new and clueless, and now I've called a few different times to speak to a sales manager but no one will answer my call or return my messages. My husband and I were on our way to our next duty station New York from South Carolina and felt our 2012 optima driving a little funny. We had 400 miles left to go and decided to stop here to get a diagnostic done to see if it was safe to keep driving. They knew we were military and in a hurry and they took AMAZING care of us! We were sitting in the waiting room for only 40 minutes, luckily no horrible damage, just a blown tire belt, and they handled it quickly and efficiently! Now we are back on our way and left smiling! Hate to say the only person who didn't lie, was the one who checked me into the service center. Which the only reason I was there was because a week after I bought my truck a part fell off!! I have bought at least 10 cars (3 new,7 used), never have I felt so neglected as a customer. To spend 24k and be told no 2nd key, or floor mats, wow! I emailed the service department and they said come get it. I was told specifically by the salesman that they will have it mailed out once it got in. I live like 40 miles from this place and they said they wouldn't. I emailed the over and got no response. Promises that aren't met. The short version: Their salesman are good but I was drawn because of the online price for a used car but came out being told they want THOUSANDS more for it. Felt like a gigantic bait and switch. The long version: I went and looked at a used VW Golf R which is listed everywhere online (including the Jones website) for $23,899. This would be considered a great deal as the market value for these cars is roughly $26,000. I drive 35 minutes there and am greeted by Jeff, who treated me with the utmost respect and was overall a very cool guy. I have no complaints about the salesman himself and he was great. HOWEVER, I made my appointment with the assumption the listed price is $23,899 as it states online. The only additional fees in the description are the standard "All prices plus Taxes, Tags, JFL Certification, and $300 Dealer Processing fee, not required by law." Turns out they want THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS for the "JFL Certification" and the "internet price" is based on the assumption the buyer is trading in a car or putting $3,000 down. Nowhere online does it say this, nowhere via online chat was I told this when making time to see the car, and I didn't find out until I was at the dealership. Again, I'd like to be clear that Jeff was the best salesman one could possibly be and I have no complaints about him, and Jones offered me roughly $500 than what would be considered "fair" on my trade in to "offset" the surprise cost.... But the entire thing feels a bit dishonest. I explained that to them when I was there, and almost felt like the sales manager that came over that night (without me asking for him) and seemed to be trying to do a hard pressure "close" on me (as someone who has worked a commissioned systems job for over 4 years...) Overall I'd give Jeff a 5/5 stars but as of now, roughly a week later, all of their listings are still for three thousand dollars less than what they ACTUALLY want for the car, and no description has explained that "JFL Certification" is thousands of dollars of needless fee. Overall I'd love to buy a car from Jeff but the dealership's dishonesty online leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I read some bad reviews about this place but found a car I was in love with so I decided to give them a chance. I'm glad I did bc I got a great deal on the car I wanted. My salesman Jerry was so nice and very helpful. He made the experience very pleasant. Their finance manager Brian was also very helpful. He explained all my options so I could make the best choice. He was not pushy at all and was a pleasure to deal with. I will be buying all my cars from here from now on. I try to stay away from reviewing businesses online but I have received the WORST service ever and really want to prevent anyone from having to deal with the headache I have. Background, I have a used 2011 Jetta I bought from Jones in 2012. Previous to that I had a 2010 Jeep Wrangler also purchased through Jones. I have done all my oil changes through Jones. The oil changes are mostly okay, sometimes an adventure but my oil change on November 11, 2015 will be my last at Jones. I scheduled an appointment online, like I always do, to expedite the process. The customer service representatives were busy when I came in so the woman working just noted my mileage and told me I could go to the waiting room and someone would be right with me. I explained that I had a slow leak in my rear tire and if they could look at it, it would be much appreciated. An hour and a half later, I inquired what was taking so long for an oil change, I was told that I needed to wait because people who made appointments needed to be taken care of first and that because I didn't tell anyone that I was coming in with a VW, the shop did not have the filter they needed. I explained that I made an appointment and then on my lap top, showed the representative my appointment reminder email from Jones that said "for your 2011 VW Jetta". He said well something went wrong and we didn't know. Maybe if someone checked me in they would have known? At hour three, the representative came to get me and told me my car was ready. He had me sign the papers (you know they ones you are supposed to sign to authorize the work BEFORE?) and handed me my keys. He started walking away when I asked "Was the shop able to find the leak in my tire?" He said "Yeah its all good, they fixed it". While driving to work the next day, my low tire pressure indicator went off. It was not all good. I removed the tire and saw that there was no plug or any indication of tire repair. I refused to go back to Jones, they obviously didn't care enough the first time and I didn't have 3 more hours to waste. I took my car to Pep Boys and they properly fixed the leak. I thought this was the end of my November Jones saga but unfortunately it was not. While in a hurry after that appointment, I did not verify my oil level when I left (big mistake!! check your oil when you leave here!!). Today, while adding windshield wiper fluid to my car, I decided to check my fluid levels. My dipstick showed no oil; not even to the minimum line. My car took almost 3 liters of oil to get it in normal range. We jacked my car up and inspected EVERYTHING, there is no oil leak on my vehicle in any place. Which leads me to assume that the proper amount of oil wasn't put in my car from the oil change. I will NEVER go back --- I don't care if it is free for life. I will be paying someone for an oil change from here out. read more

No way would I ever use Jones for a vehicle purchase. Totally unprofessional and will not honor internet pricing as I was told "Don't believe everything you read on the internet". This was pricing on THEIR website. Walked away after salesman started at $300 a month, then dropped to $250 instantly in the parking lot then told us $207 but with 0% and then proceeded to tell us that nobody can even offer 0% so how is that realistic? Then if that wasn't enough, We called back to ask a question and the salesman text messages us on our personal cell phones to negotiate a deal. Who does that? We were told "is what it is" over text message when he couldn't make a deal with us. Stay away from Jones Junction and especially the "salesman" Rob Jones. We were taken care of by another Kia dealership in Delaware and will be referring friends to there from now on. They didn't try and sell us on some BS warranty that's 20 year/200,000 miles. ***UPDATE***Now I have had my car back for 3 days and it was shaking so bad and making the loudest noises. I had to take it there first thing in the morning and now they are telling me it is a $500 fix!!!!!! When they looked the entire car over, nothing else was wrong other than the original fix. Now this???????? My car wasn't making noises or any of this shaking before I took it in for the check engine light and now they want me to spend $500 after I have already spent over $1000???? If I could leave 0 stars, I would. This place has had my car for TWO weeks and I have gone back and forth with them with different answers every single time I have called. My "advisor" AJ was extremely unhelpful, rude and was unavailable whenever I needed to speak with him. I spoke with Sean, Ralph, Tammy and another girl (can't remember her name) and each person gave me a different answer. My car is right outside of the warranty period and they gave me a price of $1200 to have my car fixed. I told them I would try to have it covered. They gave me Kia's warranty number and they left me a message saying they would cover the cost of the repairs as a "good will". Well TWO weeks later, Jones is telling me that I have to pay up front and then Kia Consumer Affairs will reimburse me because Jones won't accept payment from them. This is the FIRST time I am hearing about this. IF they would have told me this, my car wouldn't have been sitting on their lot for two weeks. I would have paid and then worked with Kia Consumer Affairs to be reimbursed. Ryan (the manager) got on the phone with me and wanted to tell me to pick up my car if I don't like the way this is being handled KNOWING that it isn't safe to drive. Then when I reiterated that, he had the balls to tell me, "then have it towed". I will NEVER recommend, buy or have any service there EVER again after that comment. Knowing how frustrated I am without having a car for this length of time, you would think these people would be more understanding and at least nice about things they are saying. They pretty much made it seem like I knew all along that I needed to pay up front, which again, I WAS NEVER TOLD THAT!!!! These are the most incompetent, rude, careless, mindless people I have ever dealt with in my life. I have brought my car in for something as simple as an oil change before and have had the same sort of problems. This is idiocy at its finest. One person tells me one thing, another person tells me something totally different. There is NO communication between the advisors/staff at the Kia Service department at all. I even received a call saying that I must turn in the rental because I am being charged daily - when it was turned in 3 days before that - within the 24 hour free rental period. I absolutely hate coming to get my "free oil change" they want to do other stuff to your vehicle that is WAY over priced. Then make you sign a "voids warranty" paper if you don't do it there!!!! Last oil change they wanted $65.00 to change out 1 fog lightbulb, I did it myself in about 2 mins and only spent $15.00 For the bulb at auto zone. This place isn't about "jones for a lifetime" it's more like " we locked you into getting all your service done here and paying out your ass for it or or we will void your warranty" type of place! I spoke with her by phone and asked her for information and vehicle photos which she said she was going to go outside to the vehicle and get.Two hours later, after not hearing from her, I sent her a text message and shortly after she sent photos, but not what I asked for. Sent a text message asking for the photos I originally asked. 1.75 hours later I sent her an email asking about the photos. 16 minutes later she sent the requested photos and said, "I apologize i was in a sales meeting I thought these pictures were attached" The vehicle was listed on AutoTrader.Com and their web site for $25,785. I made an offer of $24.500 plus sales tax and accessories. Candace Smith replied and said, "Thank you for your offer, however,unfortunately, we do not have that much room in vehicle to move as far as price. My manager informed me we do $28,000 plus taxes and tags." I replied and said "Wow...that's interesting considering the vehicle is listed on your website for $25,785. So the price of the vehicle is more than $2,000.00 above the advertised price?"Candace Smith replied, "The additional fees are the reconditioning fees and Maryland State Inspection." I subsequently spoke with Rob Jones, who identified himself as the dealership's manager, who said I needed to read the "fine print" on the AutoTrader.Com adds and their website at which point I told him the dealership couldn't do anything to sell me a vehicle. Purchased a 2006 Murano at this dealership on August 08, 2018, the very first time that my wife and I went to look at the car, the FOB key wasn't working, the sales person said that it was a dead battery and we had to use the actual key to operate the car. We did and there were two other things that it needed to be addressed. A couple days later, I was called and told that everything was fixed, my wife and I, drove to the dealership to do the paperwork and purchase the car. We went for a test drive and one of the things that were supposed to be fixed, was the driver sun visor that wouldn't stay up (the other was that the car totally pulled to the right on breaking which was fixed), the sun visor wasn't fixed and we were told that it would, we purchase the car, gave a deposit of almost $2K and waited for the financial guy to finish with the current customer. Well, that took forever and it was pass 9pm and we opt to come back to do the financial part and we agreed to go back a couple days later to finish the paper work. The day after I get a call from the sales person telling me that there was another person that was interested in the car (????) I reminded the sales person that had left a deposit and I asked if they had fixed the sun visor and I was told no, I reply to let me know when the sun visor was fixed as agreed and I would have gone to pick up the car. 2 days later, I got the call that the car was ready to go, we drove up to the dealership, checked the car and was good to go. After the purchase of the car, I was given an envelope, in the envelope, there was a second key, I checked the remote and it was the broken remote, I was told that they had changed the battery but was still not working, I reminded the sales person that I was told that the car was coming with two remotes and she said yes, she also told me that I had to take the car for the remote to be programmed to the Jones Nissan dealership, at that point I said ok. A day or two later, I was called to go back to sign something that they had forgot for me to sign, I did and when I asked about the key, I was told to take the car at the Jones Nissan dealership and ask for Don or Cathy, I did, I arrived at the Nissan dealership and asked for Don or Cathy and this guy (Don) when I told him that I was there for the key, totally flipped on me telling me that he didn't know anything about the remote and that he had 100 cars to work on (REALLY???) I explained to him what I was told and I called the sales person letting her know that they did not know anything about me, she spoke with Don, I will spare you the conversation but he agreed to reprogram/replace the remote but he did not have any in stock so he had to order one and we scheduled an appointment for about 10 days later. My wife took the car to the Nissan dealership and was told that they wouldn't do anything about the key and that the Jones Kia had to fix it, I called my sales person and she said that they will fix the remote at their dealership and that they have a "key guy" that goes there. By now, I really understood that they were not going to fixed the remote, what a shame, losing a customer for what? Such little expense....anyway, I kept calling in the following days and ask to speak with the sales manager, I was told that she was busy, left messages never returned, I then asked in one phone call to speak with the general manager, I was send to a voice mail and left a message to have call me back, never heard from him (Steven???). I have called and left more messages, hint, they are not going to fix it, sad.... Bottom line is my fault, I shouldn't have purchase the car until everything was fixed but I thought that Jones Kia was a reputable dealership and turned out to be like a side walk dealer, do not tell the customers that you are going to fix something if you are not, it's bad business :( read more

I have been looking for a car for a few weeks I went to Cowles Ford and they had me put down a $500 deposit to hold the car for me, so a few days go by and they sent me a text message saying that they SOLD THE CAR I PUT MONEY ON!!!!!!! Needless to say I went to Jones Kia and they showed me excellent service! I purchased a 2011 Chevy Suburban, And Rovall Washington and his sales people did and amazing job getting me in the truck I wanted for the best price!!!!! I am absolutely appalled. My husband and I stopped by the dealership to look at a used jeep that we had seen online. I immediately fell in love with it. We spoke with a salesman who was very friendly and did not pressure us at all. We mentioned that we wanted to keep our options open and continue looking. When we got home, my husband and I discussed the jeep and perhaps buying it. We went onto the website to look at the financing options they had available. They had a pre-approval application. Since we were really interested in the jeep and were really considering making the investment, we decided to fill out the application. We understood the terms and knew that it was going to put a hard inquiry on our credit. I received an alert from Credit Karma this morning letting me know a new inquiry had been made on my credit. I obviously was not surprised since I knew it would... Looked at my credit score and the inquiry only dropped my score 1 point. I was okay with that. Took a look at my husband score...31 POINTS DOWN! What in the world?! My husband had good/fair credit and he is now below average. I am absolutely bewildered at this. Because of this, our car shopping has to be postponed in order to bring my husbands score back up to fair...Lord know how long that will take us. THANK YOU JONES KIA! They tried to put a warranty into the terms of my loan without my knowledge, always do the math yourself to make sure the monthly payments add up, DO NOT rely on them. My monthly payments were 50 more a month then what they should have been mathmatically, when I asked why this was, they said we had you down for a warranty. They talked to me in a condescending tone the whole time. This guy Jerry that I dealt with had a bracelet with a bunch of crosses on it. The bracelet had to be a prop, can a person that lies and cons people really be that religious? BAITING AND DECEPTIVE Went to this dealership to look at a second vehicle. A used SUV advertised online for $8495. Everything went fine and the car looked great. When I got the final price, I was told $11,600. I asked for a breakdown of why the sales price had inflated by $3100. The salesman was cocky and said sales tax, tags and inspection "of course". I asked how this could cost $3100... I explained this isn't my first car purchase and knowing that those numbers are way out of whack, I asked for a breakdown. The salesman then responded that "if I didn't want the vehicle, he didn't need to sell it to me and this vehicle wouldn't last long but he didn't need my sale so if I want to make this difficult, I should go"... I protested, I wanted a break down of numbers. After protesting again, the guy finally gave me a breakdown including a $1600 "pre-inspection" for Maryland Inspection. I asked what was found on the pre-inspection that would cost so much money... I also asked why the inspection wasn't included in the sale as in Maryland, dealerships must have a Maryland inspection. The salesman said they didn't know yet what the fee was for because the vehicle wasn't inspected yet. I argued that the actual price of the vehicle was really $10,200. I asked why this wasn't advertised online? I had driven over an hour for the vehicle and had an appt. The salesman informed me that the price was actually $10,245 after the pre-inspection and then Maryland inspection. Again, at no point could anybody tell me what the cost of the pre-inspection covered! I knew at this point I was not going to be dealing with this dealership. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone!!! After research, this is a baiting technique to get a buyer into the store and hope that they don't pay attention to all of the fees that are being tacked onto the vehicle. read more

We could not be more pleased with our used car buying experience here. We found a very gently used Subaru Outback here and were very interested, but it was not certified. Jones has a Subaru Franchise, and upon asking, the salesman immediately offered to have it certified for us. We discussed over the phone pricing and trade in, and when we came in, everything was as it should be. The price stayed the same, no add ons etc, no charge for the certification, and they also matched the Carmax offer. We were in and out in a few hours, and my wife was very pleased. Will Libertini went above and beyond to make sure we were treated well, and I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a used car. Sales people are nice, but their Finance Dept. is really helpful. I just moved here and needed a new car since mine died on the trip from the west coast. Valerie was funny and sweet and made me feel so much better about my credit rating. She helped me get a great interest rate and let me know where I didn't really need to spend extra money. I recently bought a brand new Kia Sorento from John Walker. I have to say I LOVE my car. I was sad to give up my previous car, but since having a second baby we needed a more roomy car. John held our hand threw the process and showed us all our opitions. He made the process not so scary, and made sure we got the best deal possible. With all the added expenses with having another baby my husband and I really appreciated this! I normally dont put reviews out there. But my experience with KIA- Jones Junction and John Walker, were more than outstanding. So, you heard it from me! I highly recommend going there.
