Very, very sad news. Jones Pharmacy, long a "go to" institution for our community has closed. Quality service from a highly professional, caring staff. I hope the Tri-Care / Express Scripts situation had nothing to do with this, but if it did, shame on them. We'll certainly miss Ralph and his fine staff. read more

Jones Pharmacy is an older pharmacy with limited hours. Definitely used by the folks that have lived here for a long time. You can tell that they are trusted by the community. I began to come here when I had problems with CVS carrying my medicine. I can not have a delay in refills and CVS would never hold my medicine in stock. Jones ALWAYS has it. They are fast, efficient and VERY friendly. The parking lot is always very clean. The store is small but very well kept and looks great. The customer service is absolutely 5 star. The parking lot is a bit small but they do have a drive thru window if needed. You can find a decent amount of over the counter products inside as well. They also have a few snacks / drinks and greeting cards. I recommend Jones pharmacy to anyone. You can call ahead to make sure they have your medication. If they dont they will order ASAP for you. read more

The customer service from the staff at this pharmacy is far less that expected. Frequently I have been treated as an annoyance. I expect a pleasant, reasonably sincere "hello, how can I help you?" However, the pharmacist is excellent and the quality of compounded medications is better that anywhere south of Atlanta. I recommend you get your compounded meds at Jones, and think about somewhere more customer friendly for the rest of your meds. read more

They will take the time to help you find what you need, and they can special order. Regular maintenance meds or special order, they have you covered, and all with a smile. I am seventy three and have never had better service and treatment by any company large or small. Our youngest daughter also uses Jones and this is just one of the many things they have gone out of the way for us. Just after our grandson was born very early and had some health issues, and she went to pick up at Jones. With out us requesting they watched for her and brought her order to car so she would not have to get grandson out of car. Hello, I never do this, but I wanted to highlight a very disappointing customer service experience I had at your pharmacy. On this past Monday (9/16), I came to the store to pick up a full cash pay Rx for Renova (I requested that the Rx go there based on my previous experience). When I called to inquire previously about the cost, I explained that the current cost is significantly more than I previously paid for the same Rx there 1 yr or so prior. She said they would work it out when I came to pick up the Rx. I arrived to pick up my Rx on Monday morning and was greeted very nicely by the front register employee. She told me the Rx was $243.00, and I explained I was told to check what I paid previously because it was a lot less. She said okay and went to check with the techs/pharmacists in the fill area. She asked an initial person (younger girl)in the fill area (facing the registers) and she rolled her eyes after hearing the request, so the lady asked someone else. I was bothered by the rolling of the eyes, as a paying customer. When the lady came back, she told me that the medication had gone up significantly, so that was the price (could not work with me). I then explained that I wanted to shop around and the register clerk said that was fine. Meanwhile I look back at the pharmacist /tech in the fill area, and she's looking at me in disgust. I check around a bit and noticed that your price is $3 less than the big chains, so I decided to purchase (although I was extremely mad at how I was treated, indirectly by the tech/pharmacist. I pay for the Rx and notice that the size tube of Renova was smaller than I expected (wanted 60 grams, received 40 gram tub) - I actually left and had to come back after I figured the size was wrong. I was hesitant to come back in because I didn't want to get a third eye roll from the tech/pharmacist. The register clerk explains to the same pharmacy tech why I was back (and another eye roll). The tech finally addresses me personally and said "the Renova doesn't come in a 60 gram tube"! I said, "that's strange as I thought it did". She said "do you want it?" I said " I guess so ". I leave the pharmacy and felt very uneasy. I call Walgreens and speak to the pharmacist. They told me they can get me the 60 gram tube by tomorrow (as it is available), and the 60 gram tube would be $254 (but I can use a coupon to reduce the price even further. Not only did I get the requested size Rx, but at virtually the same price (with superior customer service). After leaving Walgreens I felt like a customer who was cared for and didn't feel like a burden. I returned the Rx to Jones (I forgot to mention), with a fourth, and last eye roll. Unfortunately my experience precludes me from ever using this pharmacy again (and I would love to patronize an independent pharmacy). Please contact me if you would like to discuss further. This is a great locally owned pharmacy. The prices are lower than the national chains on all the drugs I've compared prices for. They are a small store and don't have all the make-up, toys, food, and assorted other stuff that places like Walgreens have. They do, however, have actual medical supplies that those chains don't carry. This was great when I was helping care for my mother after surgery. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly to me. Prescriptions are ready on time and I've never had to wait for more than a couple minutes to pick up or drop off a prescription. read more

I have been using Jones for several years. I have not always been satisfied with the lack of customer service from the front counter, except for Denise, she always goes out of her way to make you feel welcome, the others, not so much. I had 3 new prescriptions given to me by my doctor last week and they were quite expensive, even with my insurance, so I printed off the savings cards for each one and took them in with the prescriptions. The lady that took the prescriptions from me came back and told me I could not use them since it clearly states you cannot use them if you have Government Insurance. I tried to explain, I do not have Government insurance, I am a Federal Employee and have insurance through my agency. She then took them back to the older gentleman pharmacist and he came back and told me the same thing, I tried to explain it to him as well, but he did not want to listen to me at all and was quite rude about the whole situation. I said you have used them before, in fact one of the drugs I was getting they has used the card on the previous month and I mentioned that and he said, "well I don't know, but we are not now"! I said fine, I will have all my medicine moved, it didn't bother him any. It was time for a change, that last several months, they had given me the wrong meds, given me other peoples HIPPA info, etc. They try to rush and get your scripts in a hurry but in doing so makes mistakes and that is not good when it comes to your health! I am now at Publix, they took the savings cards, ran them right through and I had my medicine in no time. I will never recommend any one to them ever again. read more
