One of the best fried chicken sandwich that I have had in town in a while! Great space with a good amount of parking. Staff are very welcoming and accommodating! The space had plenty of seating. We ordered the Korean Nashville chicken sandwich, Chicken Parmesan sandwich, Mac and cheese, Cole slaw, baked beans, and banana pudding (not pictured). The Korean Nashville chicken sandwich was super tasty and had a good amount of spice. The chicken was perfectly fried and loved that it had a little asian fusion to it. Was a little thrown off by only one slice of bread being toasted, but it didn't change the overall taste. The chicken parmesan sandwich was on the specials menu, and it did not disappoint! Overall I really enjoyed this place and they were some of the better chicken tendy's I had in a long while, especially in SB. I got the 5 piece platter for around $25 but EASILY enough to share with 2 people or just have leftovers and felt it was worth the price tag. Everything came out super fresh and hot which is always appreciated. Tenders were very good size, very crunchy and cooked well. The fries were great, and both the mac/slaw were solid as well. Staff was polite and helpful on answering any questions. Location inside is on the smaller side but does have some seating. Might be better off just taking to-go during rush hour though. Parking for the location is awful though because of where it's at so you might have to walk a bit and find street parking somewhere. It was busy and the cashier/waitress handled taking orders, delivering food to tables and kept the customers informed that she would be with them soon and all with a smile. The chicken tenders are tasty, tender and a nice size. Good sauces too. Biscuits are mini biscuits, tasty but expensive for what you get. I would prefer to just pay for a regular size biscuit instead of $10 for 6 mini one-bite biscuits. My main gripe were with the wings. They are a nice size, but not tender and cooked with too much batter. You have to cut into them to take the batter off or else you get a mouthful of batter. Also, the meat itself is not seasoned. If they could improve the wings it would be a much better product. So for now, we'll stick to the tenders. read more

Firstly, this place is tucked away but you'll know once you've found Jonesy's. I am a college student myself, and I asked some friends to try this spot with me during goletas Burger Week (Feb 19-25). There's a good amount of seating here as well as stools and a long table for individuals / quicker eating customers. Service was excellent, they're very nice and welcoming - we had some questions and curiosity and they were more than open to us. There's a table with some hot seasoning, ketchup and napkins and utensils. With that said - skip the Nashville hot fries. Instead grab some ketchup, season it and give it a dip! I find the Nashville hot seasoning to be. A very comfortable mild spice - almost adding flavor instead of heat. I don't find the Nashville hot fries to be all that over the regular ones. The fries however are good themselves. Now, the main Sandwich and Wings... Yeah! YEAH THIS IS IT. man this sandwich was very good and tender and flavorful. it served with some pickled peppers on the side that arent spicy and pickles. It's crispy, it was hot, steaming hot, and oh so good! I will say, My chicken filet fell out, it felt like I had 2 slices of chicken in there. Not in anyway bad but surprising, I figure they threw on an extra piece to cover the bread and actually ensure a full sandwich. Full it was! I think this sandwich was great and even during a special they didn't skimp out. I wish they had meal combos instead of all al a cart. However next time I'd like to treat myself to dinner out I will surely come by here. People come in and out of this spot, many sit in, but it's drawing people in for sure. Driving here we were like "are we going to a business or what?". You pull into a parking lot with 3 other businesses, and Jonesy's is right there. Not in your typical strip mall or anything. A surprise! The inside itself is cute and quaint. Nothing over the top and seats a few parties of people. We went around 4 pm, so it was not that busy. Only one other group, and then we ended up being the only folks inside. The staff were nice and very accommodating, which is a plus! We ordered the Korean hot chicken sandwich, Georgia peach sandwich, Nashville fries, and an order of Mac and cheese. The sandwiches come al a carte, which was a bummer. We spent $48 on this meal, which was steep. This immediately knocked our ratings down sadly. Korean Chicken Sandwich - Very good! My favorite item of the meal! The chicken was crispy and juicy, and the sauces and fixings were really good too. The chicken was a bit thin, which was unfortunate. ALSO A HEADS UP: if you have the gene where cilantro tastes like soap, either skip this or say not cilantro because it has a lot of it!! I love the choice of bread they used for this. Our preference would've been for this dish to be baked in a tray with cheese on top, and then scooped out for each serving. Nashville Fries - These came out entirely cold, which was a bummer. The fries were soggy and didn't hit anything out of the park. Got the job done. Just wish it was fresh since that is expected overall. Overall, this place is pretty good. Is the price of each sandwich worth it in our opinions? No. We wish the sandwiches were actual meals with a drink and a small fry. This is my second visit to Jonesy's and loved it just as much as my first visit. This visit I got to try the Georgia peach sandwich and holy moly, that is delicious! Very clean space; super simple interior but super comfortable and owners are super friendly. They do a great take-out/pick-up business so I will have to use that in the future; that said - there wasn't a long wait - maybe five minutes for my dinner. I can't make this quality of fried chicken at home; mine isn't this tender.... definitely recommend. Parking is pretty easy but I didn't realize that and parked at Yardi for a moment. I love making buttermilk fried chicken, but it's a big job so I thought I'd try Jonesy's unfortunately it wasn't up to my expectations. I just can't get excited about chicken tenders. I'm an adult. I need chicken on the bone. I found the chicken coating was way too thick and not flavorful lackluster. The side dishes were equally as boring as the chicken a missed opportunity to represent southern cuisine. The saddest thing was the buttermilk mini biscuits. Me and A couple co workers decided to come here for lunch one day. noticed that it was a bit understaffed but the service was good. Went back to work after and my co workers felt a bit ill around 30 mins later. He started to violently vomit for the next 24 hours and have bowel issues that resulted in a visit to a specialist. It's weird cause me and another co worker didn't get sick but we also go two different things from what he got. I asked to speak to the manager and was called by the "owner" which she relayed that there is no way that he could've been sick from the food and that it wasn't their problem he got food poisoning. I was lucky enough to be part of a big online group order with friends when I was recently visiting Goleta. Didn't go into the restaurant so I can't say much about that, but their service and food is AMAZING! My. Goodness! We were all so giddy as we unpacked bag after bag of grub. All well marked so we knew which order was whose and such. (Except for the sauces, which could have been slightly helpful but they're pretty straightforward.) We seemingly ordered nearly everything on the menu besides the entree salads. Reports of the Korean Nashville hot sandwich with kimchi aioli were most excellent. The half-dozen mini biscuits with honey-cayenne butter and preserves were terrific. The crunchy fried mac and cheese balls were killer. Even their pickles, pickled peppers and Texas toast were delicious! I opted for the Three & Two - three chicken tenders & two sides - with buttermilk slaw and the most incredible bacon baked beans. Seriously, people. I instantly proclaimed that these were the best baked beans I've ever had in my life! Which immediately drew disbelief from my friends. And I get that. It's a big claim. We have a new restaurant in town and it ain't KFC, but it's JFC and I am here for it! Jonesy's Fried Chicken has only been open for two days now, so you can expect a long line and about a 15-20 minute wait time. The crew is working hard and running around trying to keep up with the orders, so come with patience! I came here on my lunch hour with co-workers, and I already knew we would be cutting it close by making it back to work on time. Luckily we ordered our food to go, but they do have a communal table and a fair amount of seating throughout the restaurant. Ambiance is casual, a little tight yet functional. I was so glad to see that they're serving Organic and Free Range Mary's Chickens here! I usually buy this brand if I'm making chicken at home, so this was a nice surprise to see that they use it here. As for my order; I decided to get the Chicken n Waffles and the Mac n Cheese balls. Both were excellent and full of flavor. The Chicken was perfectly seasoned and not too salty. I was hoping it wouldn't be overly salty as fried chicken tends to be, and they got it just right! I was in heaven eating this. The Mac N Cheese balls were perfectly fried, crispy, and cheesy. They were probably the best ones I've tried thus far. I also bought a side of their JFC dipping sauce. Not sure what's in it, but it was yummy! The Angry Bird Fries don't travel well if taking them to go. I highly recommend ordering them if you plan to dine at the restaurant. They were cold, soggy and didn't justify the price for $12. My co-worker ordered the Georgia Peach which is a buttermilk fried chicken breast on a buttermilk biscuit with peaches and hot honey. He thoroughly enjoyed it! He also ordered the pimento cheese & crackers. I was able to try it and it was creamy and delicious. The Buffalo Bird was devoured by my other co-worker! Finally got around to trying this new Goleta hidden gem! I agree with other reviews that parking is terrible but honestly it's worth it imo. Tips: go during less peak hours for good parking and short lines! There are two drink coolers to the left on the back wall when you are ordering at the counter so don't think fountain drinks are the only option. Started off with the mini buttermilk biscuits with cayenne honey butter and blueberry preserves. I could easily eat 25 of these they are soo good. The cayenne honey butter had a little kick to it and complimented the blueberry preserves really well. The JFC original sandwich was HUGE! Such a good portion for the price. Great flavor and really moist chicken. The tenders were awesome, moist on the inside with a perfect crunchy exterior. The pickles were fresh and crunchy but you only get 2 pieces and I'm a pickle girl so I would've liked more. The fries were honestly trash, cold and hard, but the other sides I got made up for it 100%. Best beans and Mac n cheese I've had in town period. The Mac was so rich and flavorful, and the beans were a little spicy and sweet with pieces of crispy bacon in them. I did not get a chance to try any desserts because I was so stuffed after this meal but I will definitely be back to try them. The chicken was so tender and so crunchy. You could also tell it was right out of the fryer. We had the hot fries which were good, the beans were great, and the tomato salad was fantastic. We also had a side of 10 mini biscuits. The honey butter was great as was the jam. We wished both were at room temp instead of cold (hard to spread cold butter). The decor is simple and tasteful. There was no music blaring which is a nice touch to eat in peace without music and no TVs. The woman at the counter was super friendly and knowledgable. The food came out really quickly. Oh Jonesy's, how my tastebuds adore thee. Let me count the ways! I love how close and accessible Jonesy's is in Goleta. I usually go for their chicken tenders- high quality, juicy and cooked to perfection with the best batter ever. Their dipping sauces are to die for- I highly recommend the hot honey and ranch. Value 5/10 Taste 10/10 Service 9/10 My first restaurant visiting SB and it's amazing. The spicy version packs a punch but not to a point where the flavors' all that for the chicken. The sauce, JFC, is phenomenal. I can still taste it. It's by far the best chicken I've ever tasted with the sauce. The buttermilk coleslaw gets better with every bite as well. I love this place. The only reason why it's 4/5 is because it's $25 after tax and tips for 3 strips of chicken. In this economy, I find this a little bit off putting. I think some of the local Asian restaurants do a better job with fried chicken. My favorite right now are Vons Korean fried chicken wings and Uniboil's Taiwanese popcorn chicken. The chicken tender and sides I got were all lukewarm despite the fact that the restaurant was busy. The variety of sauces was great, and the flavor of the mac and cheese and bbq beans were good. The wings arrived fresh and hot, but the skin was rubbery due to the crust being too thick. read more

Great fried chicken. The different sandwich concepts were really interesting. I got the Georgia peach biscuit sandwich. Service was prompt. Took me less than 3mins from pearling my car to ordering my meal. Restaurant was very clean and I can definitely see myself coming back multiple time. read more
