While walking downtown of Santa Barbara, we stumbled upon this creepy looking alley . I was so intrigued by a chicken fast food being in a random alley!! Walking to order food, the decor and outside is so cute. I love the art and it's just a little hidden gem basically. We got the cheese curds and the combo of 2 Sandos and Fries. The fries are super flavorful unlike any other. The sliders are bomb, the coleslaw hits with their chicken. We got the spice levels of Country and Mild. Country was for me since I can't really handle spice. But trying Mild, it wasn't much spicy either. So I suggest getting anything higher if you want a kick to it. The cheese curds are basically small versions of mozzarella sticks , pretty good and cheese and it comes with a lot! I'd come again to try their spicier flavors. read more

The space is well designed and lots of seating, indoor and out. Looks like it could be a great place to grab a bite eventually. Stopped in to attend the advertised Grand Opening today at 12 noon. Yes, mayor was there and did ribbon cutting as advertised; but not sure what else was supposed to happen. Stood in line to order food for 30 minutes, line moving very slowly and didn't see any food coming out. No specials that we could see, for the first 100 people, as advertised, so we left. Very disorganized and disappointing grand opening. I'll give them a little time and come back sometime to try chicken and update review. read more

Hot chicken in Santa Barbara!!! Highly recommend this spot. It's in the back of the mill behind Casa Agria Ales. First of all, you have to check out Casa Agria for some of the best beers in the area. It shares a patio with Drippin Chicken. Fun outdoor patio that Modern Times Beer put into place before they disappeared. Anyway back to the chicken: I had read that medium was underwhelming, so I went with the hot flavor and it was great. Nice crispy outside, flavorful moist inside. And some of the best fries I've had! Definitely order the sliders and fries. I hope this place stays in business since the food and location are excellent. Check it out!! read more

100 percent over hyped, I ordered boneless wings and fries. The chicken was unseasoned and over cooked, however I'll give them credit for actually using real chicken breast. Oh and the fries were nasty it had that weird frozen fry taste it was overcooked and over seasoned. And also the drink selection Limited only bottle Coke Mexican style, which I do love and some other weird drink that's it at five dollars a bottle. read more

Loved that fact that it was open late & i that i was able to doordash my order. I ordered 2 chicken sandwich combos & selected one to have seasoned fries and the chicken medium heat. Picked up two vegetarian chicken sandwiches, with fries, cheese curds and slaw. Staff was nice and great at answering our questions. We ordered our sandwiches medium, but I think we could have done the next spice level up. Medium was what I'd call a slow burn, you felt the heat more at the end. Cheese curds were great. And everything held up on the 15 minute walk before we ate it. Decently priced, I do wish the "chicken patty" had been a bit more substantial but I was satisfied oversell. Food was prepared fresh to order and was tasty. I can see how people think these guys are rude as they are not very good with customer service or communication. Almost force you to get the combos by the pricing. I did the two sandwiches and fries for $20 or if you get one sandwich and fries it's $17 so for the extra few dollars I got the combo. Overall, I had an ok experience. The employees were nice. The location is great. My only issue was the food. To start, this was not Nashville fried chicken. There seemed to be little to no breading on the chicken, so it was lacking the crunch I was expecting. But, the chicken was cooked well and was juicy inside. The fries were crispy and fresh. However, they were seasoned with the same seasoning as the chicken, which I was not a fan of. It was EXTREMELY sweet. I couldn't even finish a whole tender. The fried pickles were super crunchy and great with the ranch, but for a $6 side I was disappointed with how little I received. These two meals + the side of fried pickles + 2 extra sauces came to a total of $51 and change. I'd be fine paying this price if the food was delicious, but it unfortunately wasn't. I see a lot of potential in this place and hope they adjust their seasoning recipe. read more

Dis chickin be drippin. Cashier started off dry but then the service turned out to be very nice. Food took a little while but the ambiance is really relaxing and lively. There was a speed dating "friend edition" going on in the background. Overall super chill kick back spot. I had a beer from the shaker mill next door and the Sauvignon blanc paired surprisingly well with the hot chicken sando. Wings 9.5/10 crispy to my standard sauce incredible, good size and filling all you can ask for. Chicken sando 8.6/10 (Spice level HOT) Good bread, HOT spice, dry and juicy components, well balanced and kept you wanting more. I will be back soon! read more

Authentic Nashville Hot Chicken should be extra crispy and dipped into a spicy oil with cayenne pepper, neither of which this place is doing. Also how are 3 tenders with fries the same price as 2 tenders on Texas toast? I wanted to like this place but this is far from an authentic Nashville hot chicken experience. It's never a good sign if somethins' a drippin'... mah engine is dripping, my nose is drippin', the ceilins' a drippin', That said, the chicken here is not drippin'. The fries aren't drippin', but the seasoned fries are over seasoned. The chicken strips are the wrong cut and are they even battered?? Definitely room for improvement here, but I'm hopeful they last! read more

The customer service was amazing!! Unfortunately though like other people have said the chicken is so lackluster... We got the medium and hot, but honestly the spice level is not that accurate. It wasn't as spicy as portrayed and that's coming from someone with a low to medium tolerance. Additionally, it just didn't taste very seasoned, despite looking like it would be. I would consider Dave's Hot Chicken miles better even though Dave's is a chain. Writing this review because I know it just opened, so hopefully they take the feedback into account and work on their recipe more, because I really would love to come back... only if their chicken improves.. I will say the fries were good though read more

I thought the restaurant concept was cool and uniquely centered around anything fried chicken/waffles and thought it was fun the way the waffle sandwich was presented like a taco. That being said, I initially tried to eat it like a taco but everything quickly fell apart as the waffle wasn't connected at the bottom, so resorted to just eating it like a classic chicken and waffles dish with a fork and knife. I liked the coleslaw, the crispy/lightness of the waffle, and although the food initially looked like it'd be really heavy it surprisingly wasn't and I finished the sandwich pretty quickly. I think my main issue is that there could've been more flavor/moisture to the sandwich, particularly the chicken itself. I did really like the tater tots - they were perfectly crispy, lightly seasoned, and addicting, so it was the highlight of the meal. I also tried my sister's brioche breakfast sandwich and felt that there was nothing really special to it and found it to be lacking a bit in flavor / dry. Overall, I thought the sandwich/fried chicken could've been more juicy and flavorful e.g., by adding some sauce/marinade to the sandwiches/chicken and avoiding overcooking/frying the chicken.

So the next best thing I could do was to order an eight piece chicken bucket, which was excessive for one person. Then you are given weird cuts of meat like tiny arms. So it's not really a practical eight piece bucket of chicken. If you order on the app, you have a chance of getting some bonuses so I got some free chicken nuggets which was kind. But the staff forgot dipping sauce, which was unkind. Overall, my dog and I enjoyed the salty and fried chicken, as long as we removed the fried skin. Don't worry, I didn't feed him that much. Just enough for him to feel special. They could improve if there was a drive-through or if somebody could run out to deliver food to your car, similar to Chick-fil-A. I only say this because as a woman, I do not feel safe at night all alone in this area, walking through strange parking lots that are not connected to the Main Street of Milpas.

I placed an online order for a sandwich through your website, specifying that I wanted avocado on it, and eagerly went to pick it up. Upon arrival, I explicitly asked Ana, the store worker, multiple times if my sandwich contained avocado, to which she reassuringly confirmed each time that it did. Excited to devour my meal at home, imagine my dismay when I unwrapped my footlong, only to find NO AVOCADO whatsoever! Feeling cheated and betrayed, I immediately called the store and spoke to Ana, who, to her credit, apologized profusely and offered to rectify the situation by providing me with a complimentary replacement sandwich the next day, when Manager Brenda would be working. Fast forward to the next day, I found myself unable to visit the store due to work commitments. When I called to ensure I could still claim my sandwich, the store worker I spoke to, Yolanda, abruptly hung up on me mid-conversation. Undeterred, my boyfriend called back, only to encounter yolanda again- an extremely rude employee who showed no empathy or willingness to help. Despite our polite requests, this employee, Yolanda, displayed a shocking lack of professionalism and customer service skills. She callously dismissed my concerns, laughed off my requests to speak with Brenda, and when I said I just needed the phone number of who to call and didn't want to get her in trouble at work , she had the audacity to say "she doesn't care, a lot of places are hiring right now anyway". What should have been a simple resolution to a mistake on your part turned into a nightmare, exacerbated by the unprofessionalism and rudeness of your staff. It's unacceptable that I, as a paying customer, should be treated with such disrespect and indifference. I implore you to address this issue promptly and ensure that such incompetence and lack of respect are not tolerated in the future. As a loyal customer, I expect better from Subway, and I sincerely hope you take appropriate action to rectify this situation internally with your staff and also externally with me. If subway fixes this or even reaches out, I will update my review but if everything is left how it is now, the review will remain until something happens.
