I have been going to jonesy's for a long time. Probably 30 years. I have not been there for the last 3 years. And I went today. The quality of the food is awful. I don't know what he did to his flour taco. Shells, but the ones he are serving now are gross. I don't know what he did to his queso. Dip It was supposed to come with jalapeno and seasoning. It was the most blandish cheese. I've ever had, and let's talk about the salsa. So watered down there was no flavor at all. Absolutely. The worst food I have had in a long, long time... We came here for a bite for dinner. Half the dining area is seating, the other half is a bar. Definitely had a pub feel. We were met promptly, friendly waitress. I ordered the "monster taco" special and my husband ordered the brisket burger with sweet potato fries. She brought us regular fries but quickly fixed it. She asked us if we wanted to just bring the fries with us. The sweet potato fries were pretty good. The burger had a nice crust on it, but brisket didn't seem to fresh. My taco was excellent and big. Could of used some sour cream though, but that's probably a personal preference. My husband wants to come back and try their biscuits and gravy. He's on a quest to find the best in Omaha/Council Bluffs. read more

It has been there for as long as I can remember, it is always there. It doesn't stick out really. It isn't flashy at all and I always rush right by it. Finally, my stomach growled at the perfect time and I wheeled the car right into Jonesy's. It wasn't super early but I could smell the hash browns as soon as I swung open the side door. There were a few fellas having coffee in the semi large dining room area but I sat at the bar and almost ordered a Bloody Mary. I ordered an iced tea instead and took it all in. It is a Bar, the bar looked to have big selection of beers and liquors too. My stomach growled again and it reminded me to order food. I chose the standard Chicken Fried Steak, hash browns (both were smothered in brown Gravy), 3 scrambled eggs with a biscuit and some gravy on the side. It didn't take long before a big plate of Hot food was brought to me. The serving was LARGE which was a good thing that morning. It was all so good, the eggs were good and well prepared the steak was cooked just right, the gravy topped it all off but, the potatoes had my attention since I walked in and they did not disappoint at all. I really cant wait to swing back by this joint for another Chicken Fried breakfast. The service was Great and the eats were too. read more

For now it's getting 5 stars. I was only going to do 4 but I couldn't come up with a reason why. The food was DELICIOUS! All of it. Everything. YUGE portions and cheap prices! Everything came out perfectly done and hot. Breakfast burritos came with a nice big side of homemade tasty salsa. Service was very attentive and friendly. I stopped in with a group of cyclists on a Friday evening. We sat on the patio because the weather was perfect and because we could keep an eye on our bikes. Our waitress was pleasant and good at her job and didn't seem at all put out when we asked for ten separate checks. I had a chicken enchilada s with rice and beans and it was delicious and the serving was more than generous. They sell beer by the pitcher and the prices are significantly lower than across the river. Don't expect authentic Mexican food here, it more of a toned down American style Mexican. They also serve regular American diner food. They have some tables inside near the bar but the atmosphere is much nicer outside. We had a great time and will definitely be back. read more

The food was mid for 11 dollars, the mixed burrito was salty, I couldn't even pick it up before everything fell out of it. The burrito tasted like a school taco (no joke). The steak burrito I ordered was only steak wrapped in a tortilla with melted cheese on it. The cheese tasted like a bunch of craft singles melted over the burrito. Soooo, this was kind of mix of American and Mexican food but that's okay. I had the ordered the larger side salad and it looked awfully small, I couldn't imagine how small the small one was! But when I got the receipt, I was charged for the small one so that explains that. It was good though. I got the hot beef sandwich and it was okay... the beef was not spectacular, need to try a different cut or something but the gravy and potatoes were good. read more

Always loved the food here, especially the nachos. One day I ordered the Grand Slam nachos and wow! Amazing and HUUUUUGE! Love them with flour chips. Our waitress was great and very friendly. Lots of TVs and music and fun. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a night out. The burgers here are also a kn ock out of the park. Very juicey and delicious. I stop in here and eat all the time, my grandmother is a bartender/waitress for this place, the guys who work here are really cool, although they have mouths like sailors at times I still love the place to death, and a the main cooks are New England Patriots fans, that's a big plus! I had ate at Jonesy's a few years ago and it was very good but we ordered tenderloins tonight and they honestly were the worst I have ever had. They are processed, thin, and taste terrible. I also have never seen a tenderloin come with lettuce and tomato but no catsup or mustard. I ordered them with everything. I don't make a practice of writing bad reviews but if something isn't broken why do people insist on changing it. Their tenderloins used to be awesome. read more

The best taco's in town!!! I think everything else on the menu is good as well, but I would not know because I cannot get past the Tacos and Enchiladas when I go here! Service is always very fast, which is great for lunch. Can't brag about the Taco's here enough!
