Brought in a group of 8 for brunch. Place was busy so I asked about wait times. The first hostess was nice and told me we could split up to two groups of 4 and take two table tops that they had already open and get seated right away. After some time of waiting, they continued seating multiple groups that came in after us taking the tables of 4 that were available. They even seated the couple behind us in line at a 4 person table. I asked the hostess about my group and if I should take them elsewhere as they kept seating people behind us in line. She responded and said "it will be more time for your group. Looking to get tables close to each other". I told her that the reason why we stuck around was to get seated and was fine with splitting, as already discussed. Another table got sat ahead of us shortly after this conversation happened. My group instantly felt disrespected and not welcomed - which led to our group unanimously voting to leave. A very cute café with easy parking! We got there early on a Tuesday. It wasn't real busy. The service was great. We had a really good waitress who was very attentive and friendly. My husband and I just ordered the blueberry pancakes because you get three huge ones and order of sausage which was another four. He also wanted eggs and it was all delicious and perfect. The blueberries are inside the pancakes where they should be and they added some on top. Also, loose fresh blueberries. And you know pancakes are good when you can just use butter and no syrup.! We dropped my cousin off at the airport early on the morning of July 4, and we wanted to go to breakfast afterward. I'd been to the Jonny Cakes Cafe in Troy, so when I saw that there was one in Canton on our way back, I suggested it to my sister. I was feeling indulgent, so I ordered the chicken cordon bleu omelette and upgraded to the sauteed apple pancakes instead of toast. The omelette was really good, the cheese nice & stretchy. And the hash browns were nicely browned as well. I only ate half of those things and just tasted my "breakfast dessert" so that I was able to have and enjoy it another day. Located in a strip mall with plenty other businesses affords this spot plenty of ample parking. The dining room is clean and spaced out which is a huge plus nowadays. Staff is wearing masks and we saw the tables being sanitized between new customers. Let me begin with saying that they have a machine that fresh squeezes orange juice and it tastes just like it came straight from a Florida orange tree. So delicious. Now lets move on the the loaded berry french toast. All I can say is OMG! It's slightly warm and covered in fresh berrys and is now my favorite breakfast in the land. We came here with high expectations after reading the reviews. Unfortunately, the food failed. Our server, Kailyn, was the lone bright spot. She was attentive, pleasant and demonstrated she cared. She is the only reason this review got a 2 instead of a 1. Now to the food. My wife ordered scrambled eggs hard but not browned, potatoes and pancakes. The eggs were portioned on the plate so that all of the dark brown (a lot) was hidden from view. The potatoes were bland as were the pancakes. I ordered an egg white omelette, potatoes and pancakes. The omelette was browned a lot, and all 3 items were bland (I expect bland with an egg white omelette, but not with the potatoes and pancakes). The omelette was very greasy. I have had better pancakes from a box of mix you just add water to. For both meals the potatoes were cold and the pancakes lukewarm warm. The only thing that was hot was the syrup for the pancakes (a nice touch). The portion sizes were huge, so if you go, order less than you think you want. As others have mentioned, it was chilly, the wait staff was wearing sweatshirts or similar. We asked and we were told they keep the temp cool for the kitchen - they need to get zone control so the dining room can be comfortable. read more

Our meals were cold, items were forgotten, and our server rarely checked on us. $75 for a less than satisfactory breakfast/brunch is just a high end Coney Island at this point. The one thing I noticed was the Chill Fry, which is a seasoned beef w/onions and tomato sauce that they serve with eggs. My wife got that with her benedict, and while it was good the flavor profile was a little strong for her being a morning meal. Not to mention the beef was slightly dry. I personally got the Sriracha chicken omelette, which was very spicy as expected and quite filling so no complaints. I am so glad that Jonny Cakes caught my eye because the food was GREAT! Looking at the menu I saw so many different options i'd love to try but the chill fry really sounded phenomenal. Beef in a tomato sauce with 3 over medium eggs and toast for dipping? Sign me up. It was the perfect portion and it was so flavorful. My dad got the troy skillet which from other yelp reviews looks to be very popular. It did not disappoint. Next time i'd like to try one of the decadent looking pancakes though! Though they seemed very busy we didn't have to wait too long for our food and our server kelly provided 10/10 service. Breakfast places should have great coffee, not this watered down weak stuff. I was a bit nervous as I ordered my breakfast. What followed was a five star set of pancakes! I went with the Nutella and Peanut Butter Pancakes. The 3 pancake stack came out drizzled with Nutella and peanut butter sauce, flanked by real whipped cream. This is a super rich breakfast, so be prepared for that. The pancakes themselves were super light and tender. I will definitely order this again!
