This was my first time visiting Saj in Canton and I was completely amazed by the work they have done over here. From the variety of offerings to the freshness and quality of the meals you get the full experience of authentic Mediterranean cuisine. This place is your one stop shop for all of your coffee, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and not to mention the healthy options at the salad bar. I ordered the egg & cheese croissant with turkey bacon, and I have to say I was not expecting the croissant to be this good. I was able to taste all of the flavors within the sandwich from the egg to the bacon and the greens. I also ordered a chocolate pistachio croissant for dessert to enjoy at home, Saj offers an abundant amount of seating, inside and outside as well as a private room for any work meetings you would like to have with your colleagues. I didn't want to post anything negative right away and hoped for a better second experience before sharing, so here's a more complete take. The ambience is absolutely lovely--spacious, clean, and very pleasant to sit in. The upstairs seating area is especially nice, with comfortable tables and chairs that make it a great spot to relax. They also offer a good selection of packed bakery items on display that look fresh and tempting, making it ideal for a quick grab-and-go visit. That said, the dine-in experience was let down by long wait times. I ordered a croissant and a falafel sandwich and ended up waiting significantly longer than expected, with little to no updates on my order. The ordering system--placing the order in one area and then waiting with a buzzer to collect before paying--felt somewhat inefficient, especially during off-peak hours on a weekday when the café wasn't particularly busy. In terms of food, the falafel sandwich was decent, while the croissant was just okay. Overall, the service felt slow and somewhat disorganized during this visit. I later stopped by just for grab-and-go items, and that experience was much smoother and quicker. I eat chicken shawarma often. I ordered a shawarma in a wrap(pita). The good- meat was seasoned nicely. The not so good- Extremely small sandwich- I would say 2-3 oz of meat. Very dry. Sandwich was left too long in panini press. Pita was very dry. Meat was also very very dry. I usually order my shawarma with pickles, onions and tabouli. Even with the veggies, the wrap was very dry. Price/value not good. Taste -ok, but way too dry. Competitors serve larger portion, at better price and much less dry than this one. read more

This Lebanese bakery is absolutely incredible. I used to go to a Saj when I lived in Dearborn Heights and it's one of the things I miss the most when I moved out of the city. Now we have one in Canton and immediately it's filling the void. The place is so spacious and elegant. You have a station where you can order baked goods, breakfast, and desserts and on another side there is a person who serves tea and coffee. The center of the room has a variety of prepackaged products that you normally find in Middle Eastern grocers as well. You can't forget about the upstairs where there's available tables and chairs to just sit down and chill while you eat or drink. One thing I can't overlook is the amazing and courteous staff who make you feel like you're at home with family. Hope Saj Canton sees incredible success in this area. read more

Saj Bakery is fantastic, we go/visit often. What I don't understand though, why have they made a decision to support a political candidate with signs all around their store, this seems to be a no win decision, nobody cares about who a business or entertainer supports politically except for the people that have opposing viewpoints who you offend. Canton is still a purple political area with as I understand almost an equal share of democrats, independents and republicans read more

I ordered a few items for dine in with my family. The service is not too slow, food is ok. But the billing is totally misleading, they charged me twice for the fries, and even for cheese on a cheese bread! Noticed this error in the bill but they didn't care. This place is fantastic! Beautifully decorated, fresh baked goods, baklava, and shawarmas. Excellent coffee. Super friendly employees. We ordered several of the round breads with zatar and zatar and cheese, as well as coffee. The brown sugar shaken latte was insanely good, highly recommend! The breads are also great. If I have one nitpick, it's the fact that they folded the breads in half- the filling sticks together and it's hard to reheat them this way. Easily solved by asking them to keep them flat next time- and there will be a next time. Definitely try this place. read more

Let me start by saying this is a beautiful place and everyone is so nice! However, the cooked food is sub par and WAAAAAY over priced. You go to Sheesh and the fatoosh tawook is $12.00 for a huge salad and here it was $16.00 and the chicken is full of fat and you get MAYBE a cup of lettuce. We also just got 2 "pizzas" there that were $4.95 for personal size. Fair price. We also ordered a margarita pizza which is the same size, 4 slices, and that thing was $20.00!!! Who in their ever loving mind charges $20 for a 4 slice pizza with cheese and 4 pieces of basil? I asked why the other pizzas were $4.95 and that one was $20 and she said "because there's a fluff crust on it". (The other two were more on like a pita). Had I known this I would've NEVER gotten that pizza. I assumed they were the same price. My mistake and I won't make it again! The pizza wasn't even that good, at least not worth $20!!! We've been waiting for a neighborhood spot like this for a long time - and so happy we have Dearborn quality on this side of town! Amazing baked savory pastries, spinach and meat pies, and satisfying chicken kabob sandwiches - at a reasonable price. (My son said the steak sandwich was great) I usually make my own Hummus, but the taste here is fantastic especially when combined with their Saj bread. The deserts at the coffee shop are amazing too. Nice outdoor sitting area - good stop when catching a show at the theater down the street or farmers market. Worth a stop if your in the area for a quick and satisfying lunch or dinner. read more
